Why would it matter if a theoretical P!nk hit was or was not 'due to TikTok'? I guess I can vaguely understand why this distinction would matter for a new artist (i.e. 'TikTok hits' maybe being less likely to result in longer term success / a consistent fanbase) but P!nk has had a fanbase for 2 decades.
People really still acting like TikTok is some new novelty and not the driving force behind the vast majority of hits.

Bumping this as it fell off page 1 and also because there's about a day left to vote in this! (I'm actually going to be out most of tomorrow and not exactly sure when I'll be back, but I will get the new poll up some time after I get back home, might be a bit later than 'usual', I say as if I've been in any way consistent with the time I've been posting these x)

Ooops sorry!
Last week was pretty lacking in good discoveries but the Massive Attack song was great and I also really enjoyed the Slipknot track although big 'your mileage may vary' on that. David Gray's 'The Other Side' was really nice, somewhat making up for the disappointment of 'This Year's Love' getting a play over the vastly superior 'Babylon'. Doves also pretty good. Lots of good stuff I already knew of course as ever, highlights including 'The Scientist', 'Feel', 'Star Guitar', 'Seven Nation Army', 'All My Life' and 'Can't Stop'. The RIP slots were a pretty good set of discoveries for me too, minus 'The Colour Of My Dreams' which I already knew from Club Bizarre.

Can't believe people ever leave before the end of these things x

Ooh that's promising to see P!nk entering a lot earlier this time. Lord knows why this wasn't the lead single, it is a great song, hope it'll end up being a bigger hit than NGNDA.
'Song 2' randomly slaying we love to see. Also wow didn't realise Lizzy McAlpine had got so high, great to see her top 40!

The Kid LAROI song is very MOR Bieber, don't see why it wouldn't be a typical Amazon hit.
Can we just belatedly make 'Au Seve' a (bigger) hit instead of this Nathan Dawe thing pls x (not heard it yet though and tbf I ended up liking 'Sweet Lies' a lot more than I expected lol, albeit that still being on like a 6/10 level)

Gwan Young Fathers. Will also check out RAYE and The Go! Team (their singles have been consistent quirky bangers this era).
I would love to see RAYE at #1 and I guess for what it's worth this is a good start but as with Måneskin the other week I'm really not convinced she'll be that strong of a physical seller, or even that strong of a streamer beyond the one song. My money is on Shania.
Hope this post is not too much of an essay :P

it's one of Orbital's signature songs so I understand the veto
int he previous contest there were big names like A-ha or Depeche Mode but
with an album track and hardly-known single
The elephants in the room I was referring to were A Flock Of Seagulls and Alphaville, not the big name artists with lesser known songs.
(and I'm more saying that those two probably should have been vetoed rather than that Orbital shouldn't have! not making a fuss about it, just noticing a slightly different standard x)
Hopefully the artist I just confirmed isn't taken (I wouldn't be surprised if it is) since I waited so long to confirm!!!We are still less than halfway through the confirmation period! I haven't even started looking yet (probably should do soon after what happened with my mega last minute Club Bizarre entry oop)
