Hope it won't be too long before 'Don't Wanna Know' drops out of his top 10 lol ~ (I actually don't even hate that song surprisingly but there's no way it deserves to be there)
  4. Gonna need you to both be wrong about Aelandor x At the moment I'm feeling like being suckered into a prediction that Klum Rep might finally win. (Although Amelie Lens' previous entry somehow only came 36th so maybe not, although I do think this one sounds wider appealing x)
  5. With each passing song I feel less like I'm being gaslit by people claiming she's making good music now. ('Diet Pepsi' did eventually grow on me and I liked 'Aquamarine' anyway but this is easily better than those two)

Not Jay Rock's name being rendered as 'J-Rock' by the OCC. (On the topic of Jay Rock, I also thought straight away 'King's Dead' must be an omission here, I see Jim already mentioned that - and was about to say hopefully this means 'Alright' will be going platinum imminently but I see it has already, I'm a little behind on the certifications thread). It is great to see 'Money Trees' being one of his highest sellers anyway despite never being a single as it was always a big highlight from 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' for me, hoping something will eventually give it a UK chart position (it might have finally charted in the last couple of weeks if not for the 3 track rule). It's also never charted in the US, was predicted to scrape into the low top 50 this week but must have fallen a little short (needs to be top 50 to chart at all due to recurrency rules).

Sam hadn't yet even had a top 40 single when his last album came out ('Seventeen Going Under' finally went top 40 the week of the album release and then still took another couple of months before fully blowing up), would definitely expect this album to comfortably blow past the debuts of his first two. Agreed 100k might be a bit optimistic though. I'll take a stab in the dark at like 70k? Still not used to Fontaines D.C. becoming such a streaming viable act pretty much overnight but excellent to see them in a strong position to get a first top 40 hit *.* Kendrick's sales will obviously be down a fair bit this week but looks like there's no new contender to replace him and he's still quite comfortably ahead of Chappell on Spotify and #1 on Apple too so I think he is most likely to hang on for a second week. The bulk of the Super Bowl boost will have already worn off so not sure he'll be continuing to drop at the same rate this week? (But if he does then Chappell could sneak a week with low sales).
  8. ...and said top 2 being? xx

  10. Thanks Dan, I'll quickly get the YT playlists posted when I get home (will be there briefly before going back out x).
  11. I'd be happy to have the semi 1 listenthrough on Wednesday but can someone other than me host it pls as I'm going out in the early evening and not sure I'll be home by 8pm (and by the same token I might miss the start of it x). I will get the YouTube playlists posted before then ~
  12. Well, while we are waiting, for anyone who may be interested I'm gonna do a listenthrough for the latest Club Bizarre from 8pm :jump: https://sync-tube.de/room/ApAM3t-I
  13. https://sync-tube.de/room/ApAM3t-I will kick off shortly after 8pm :jump: YouTube playlist: playlist?list=PLPJgevNSgqub3pqTGvTokISlH5HpwYxOr
  14. Oop BJSC still not up yet. I'd be up for doing a listenthrough for this today then x
  15. The song list is approved now so will be up as soon as Cody is ready :jump:
  16. Not a particularly exciting list really! Just voted for a top 3 of Arctic Monkeys, Ben Howard and Dua Lipa.
  17. Leon to go first but also echoing the general sentiment of the thread x
  18. This contest is open for a couple of weeks so think it'd probably be better to leave the listenthrough until later this week / early next week - although let's see if BJSC has actually started by 8pm tomorrow first oop! (I think it should have, we have all the songs in now x)

Blige - Family Affair OutKast - Ms. Jackson Shaggy - It Wasn't Me (feat. Ricardo "RikRok" Ducent) TLC - No Scrubs Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want Just missing out: 'Try Again', 'Independent Women Part I', 'Genie In A Bottle', 'Butterfly', 'How You Remind Me' and a shoutout to 'Be With You' as a surprisingly good discovery considering I'm not too keen on Enrique in general. Worst: Cher - Believe Creed - With Arms Wide Open Mariah Carey - Thank God I Found You (feat. Joe and 98°) Matchbox Twenty avoid this list for at least having a good instrumental. I nearly put TLC on both lists also, not a fan of 'Unpretty'.
  20. In lieu of the previous SyncTube sessions' weekly polls cutting each week's songs down to a list of 10 options to vote for because no one volunteered to do the work to make such curated lists, for our Hot 100 #1s marathon I'm just going to post one of these threads each week allowing people to vote for whichever songs they want from the full list x If you don't know what the above sentence is referring to don't worry, this thread is open to participation from anyone (although we're always open to new participants at our weekly listening sessions x), just post in the thread with up to 5 favourites and, if you want, up to 3 least favourites from the below song list. The song with the most favourite nods will get a play at the start of next week's session (and the song with the most least favourite nods will just have a permanent place on a wall of shame for funziez). Last week's double bill poll produced 2 clear winners and 2 ties (one each for the best and worst polls). For week 18, Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise' (feat. L.V.) easily ran away with best of the week picking up 10 votes, 4 clear of its closest competition, a tie on 6 votes each for Ini Kamoze's 'Here Comes The Hotstepper' and Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose'. Week 19 on the other hand had very spread out votes and the last set of votes from Julian made it a tie for the lead on just 6 votes apiece for Britney Spears' '...Baby One More Time' and Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' (feat. Dr. Dre and Queen Pen). The flash tiebreak vote on SyncTube was the closest one of those has been to date but Blackstreet prevailed 4-3. The bronze medal was also a tie on 5 votes each for Brandy and Monica's 'The Boy Is Mine' and 2Pac's 'California Love' (feat. Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman). It was week 19 that had the clear winner in the worst poll as Céline Dion and R. Kelly picked up 9 votes for 'I'm Your Angel' (I expect this would be getting hate even without Kelly's involvement), with Boyz II Men filling out the podium, '4 Seasons Of Loneliness' 2nd with 5 votes and 'One Sweet Day' (with Mariah Carey) 3rd with 4 votes. Week 18's worst poll finally produces a tie, and I'm not bothering to break ties for the worst poll so Boyz II Men can claim a victory there with 'On Bended Knee', joint with Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' on 4 votes each (the latter of course written by R. Kelly, though he missed the podium with his own #1 from that week). Michael thus joins Stevie Wonder in having won both polls. Joint 3rd place all on 3 votes were Silk's 'Freak Me', Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You', Boyz II Men again with 'I'll Make Love To You' and Céline Dion again with 'The Power Of Love'. 22. Ok so have managed to get in touch with Oliver and he confirmed he's gonna be sitting out again aw x Although we do have a very late entry from Buzzjack Mountain so 60 entries still coming after all! (Assuming Callum is reconfirming )
  23. One of those vetoes has already been reconfirmed btw and the other person is in the online list atm so hopefully they might have a backup to reconfirm quickly x (unfortunately still no sign of Oliver so looks like it's RIP the dream of returning to the 60 entry mark this month unless he shows up imminently - 59 is still the most we've had since BJSC 165 though)

  25. A few familiar names here as expected but actually a fair few I can think of that I would have expected to show up but haven't done. I was originally thinking of sending something by Fatima Al Qadiri but she was one that I thought might have been taken already! (Glad I pushed myself to find someone new to me anyway ~) Hiipe for this anyhoo :jump:
