'Push The Tempo' was as high as #63 in the mids, I would think that's pretty secure for it to stay top 100 (especially as it'll definitely overtake several Christmas songs).
  2. Votes will be in this evening, just need to relisten first :jump:

There aren't any automatic resets this week though (unless OCC changed their minds etc.) + will likely just drop straight back down tomorrow to the level it was at before.
  4. Voted and managed to break the tie, hooray (I was half expecting to accidentally make it even more tied ) Unsurprisingly Daniel Avery was my fave, also voted for Pretty Girl and Ams (excellent vibes to kick off the list from an artist I'd not heard of before). Full ranking: 1 Daniel Avery 2 Pretty Girl 3 Ams 4 MRD 5 Otik 6 HVOB 7 BLONDETING 8 James K 9 dj something 10 Mall Grab 11 DJ Planet Express 12 Champion 13 DJ HEARTSTRING 14 Himera 15 Tom VR 16 salute 17 Real Lies 18 Kédu Carlö 19 Juicy Romance 20 Geo22 Everything down to DJ HEARTSTRING feels worthy of my shuffle playlist from first impressions x Himera had good production but let down by the vocals being a little grating. I didn't dislike any of the other songs but did unfortunately find the salute and Real Lies songs a bit disappointing compared to their usual quality (and especially with the Jessie Ware collab on the former I had quite high expectations oop).

Surprised to see 'Timber' and 'Smalltown Boy' both showing up as new entries (rather than re-entries), #79 and #166 respectively - Kesha getting a good showing from the NYE effect as 'TiK ToK' is also in at a new peak of #41.
  6. Well that's the right song to be Ed's highest at least (don't love it but it's fine enough as an addition to the '7/10 Christmas songs I don't mind being wheeled out every year' pile) but shocked at how well 'River' did, one of Eminem's most tedious songs for me.
  7. (I voted for H & Claire btw x)
  8. 'Hound Dog' not being in the top 10 is criminal!
  9. I can do if you don't mind giving me a few months hours - I promise I plan to get back to voting in these this year
  10. Not Andy C being a 'breakthrough act' when he had a top 40 hit over two decades ago :kink:

What exactly are these numbers based on?
  12. Think that is the first time Ed & Elton have made the top 40 in the US!
  13. Is that really true?! Seems like a shockingly short amount of time to be the record. (And I guess Michael Bublé would have broken that record by a much larger margin instead had SZA not released on this week :P)

The selection of older songs they play is definitely far too repetitive as well.
  15. A couple more of my votes gone there - 'Ice Ice Baby' is objectively naff but still undeniably fun x and that seems like a respectable enough result for Donovan for a 60s song that's not super ubiquitous (although I wonder if it might be one that lots of people know without knowing the title, think it was for me until quite recently!)
  16. I just got 'Bul Bul Bul' on shuffle this evening and still sounds great, definitely my favourite of your entries this year so thanks for the discovery even if it didn't pan out in the contest.
  17. Teletubbies below One True Voice? The absolute disrespect.
  18. or maybe Radio X listeners are getting bored of him releasing the same song 500 times

This already made the official top 100 for a week back in November if you missed it! (It has 2 extended versions which both have fairly significant stream counts so would be a decent bit higher combined, suppose it could be one that ends up in this week's top 100 with most of the Christmas songs exiting from the mids). Has got as high as #22 in the US as well.

I presume the Laufey version of 'Santa Baby' must have taken up some of the playlist space Kylie usually occupies? Also is interesting that Slade and Wizzard ended up with a bit of a recovery this year when trends are otherwise clearly towards the more American-centric hits.
  21. The original release was just a greatest hits, it's been re-released this week as a 2 disc album with the first half being live recordings and the original GH release as the second half. Definitely confusingly titled / marketed.
  22. Time to pay our annual respects to Gay Gordon, the definitive version of 'Auld Lang Syne', gone but not forgotten x
  23. I'll need to quickly remind myself of a few of these before voting (there are a few here that I think I don't care for but also don't remember) but just want to quickly be annoying and point out that it's *Sinclar x Dre and 50 are the two best songs here so here's hoping at least one of the two survives beyond the first couple of rounds :P
  24. Swapping over to the other Green Day song now but I seem to be on my own x
  25. Wow that after several years in a row of stalling just outside the top 10 it suddenly improves its peak all the way to #5 this year! Back to having a better peak in the US than it does in the UK, which I don't think has been the case since... 2017? Maybe one of these years it could go top 5 here as well if playlisting is kind enough x
