BJSC186 - Upgrades to Business Class (aka Odds Thread)
At least there were some more realistic predictions as well eh. (I'd say it's perhaps more mystifying that we still haven't had a Baby Jane entry finish higher than 10th, but I was correct in thinking there wasn't really any reason to expect 'Midnight Highway' would do any better than her last couple of entries. No shade to the song, I did vote for it! Albeit slightly fewer points than I gave to 'Cemetery Date' and 'Starry Eyed').

BJSC186 - First Class Suite - Final Results
Checking in from my nocturnal catchup (I'll go try and get a couple more hours' sleep in a minute x) - I think the only correction to the final scoreboard is that Bronzil should indeed have 1 more point (as Jim already pointed out, between scoreboards 9 and 10 Bronzil got 24 points (3 from Yehesi, 8 from Aeroche and 13 from N DNTN) but only went up 23 points on the scoreboard so the spreadsheet may be missing 1 point from one of those nations, ofc the 1 extra point doesn't change their position). That and the tiebreak for Cor Lupus should say 3 18s. x Based on what's been posted in the thread I also have both Aelandor and Trifoski 18 points lower than in your final scoreboard - you posted that both got no 18s but you only announced 57/59 of the 18s, leaving out Jupiterdonia and N DNTN. Neither of them gave 1-15 points to either Aelandor or Trifoski (or included commiserations) but I'm assuming Jupiterdonia gave 18 to Aelandor and N DNTN gave 18 to Trifoski? Could be the other way round but that seems less likely. I'll comment more tomorrow anyhoo (and belatedly write up my usual voting highlights as I didn't get around to doing that) but well done @Harve on finally joining the 2 wins club over 13 years after your first win! I'm now 3 for 6 on voting for winners this year yay ~ And thanks Addy for the hosting efforts even though I missed them live again, this was a cool twist on the reveals, I did clock that Skall were going to have a massive boost from the 18s being added on but still wasn't exactly obvious that they'd hold on until the last moment! (also can we please have the spreadsheets from the semi-finals when you have a moment to post them @Addy! )

Omg Persephonia winning confirmed

BJSC186 - Upgrades to Business Class (aka Odds Thread)
I thought 'Starry Eyed' would be a winner but if that only came 10th I'd be a little surprised if 'Midnight Highway' did dramatically better than that. FARC's song is maybe now the only one that I still do not remember anything about after listening to every song 4+ times lol - I am once again finding myself baffled as to what supposedly makes a strong pop contender, there are so many other pop songs that stand out way more.

BJSC186 - Welcome to Business Class
There is a sneaky sample of 'Just Dance' in the first second of it. Not sure of any other samples x Hoping we have got a full house of votes now then (minus Taahino for aforementioned circumstances)?

I'm not sure you quite understand the atmosphere of a football match x

I want to throw out Trifoski as a dark horse hit x

BJSC186 - Upgrades to Business Class (aka Odds Thread)
The way Skall's entry is only like the 4th? best song on that album tho x (It's still v good don't get me wrong)

The streets are ready for another Aeroche win x

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
'Risk It All' has been a big hit in the USA as well tbf although not so much in the UK. (as far as the UK charts go, the album only having 9 songs on its really kneecaps it with the way the chart is calculated)

sombr - My Body Isn't Ready
I think it has tinges of Robbie Williams to it so almost...

Remember 'Rein Me In' is still further ahead than it looks because of the edit version. I think Shakira is still probably a way off contending for #1. (Maybe I was wrong about her falling off post World Cup though if she's still rising on Apple). I don't particularly love the song but I'm not opposed to the idea of Shakira getting a surprise new #1. Just should have been with the Bizarrap session. At least this one is better than 'Zoo' x

Club Bizarre 35: Instrumentals II [Voting]
Next Wednesday would be cutting a bit close to the deadline - tomorrow should be good I'd think ~

I would assume 'Dai Dai' is likely to start falling off pretty soon now the World Cup is over anyway?

BJSC186 - Welcome to Business Class
You're right actually. 'SS26' still doesn't sound good.

Capital FM Playlist 2026
I assume it probably only gets played at unsocial hours but Barry Can't Swim on the Capital playlist is kind of wild x

BJSC186 - Welcome to Business Class
That is about the number of listens it's taking for an average Charli song this era to start sounding good

I should be voting tonight anyway but the extension doesn't hurt

Friday Chart Predictions
But the point is her last album still debuted at #1 with likely much lower first week streaming so it's hardly surprising that this album is looking to do the same.
-
Friday Chart Predictions
She did far better on Spotify on day 1 than she did with her last album (that only had 1 new song charting and that was the song with Taylor). Also her debut album made the top 3 here and that was before she ever had any hit singles.

BJSC186 - Upgrades Results
somewhat late but done before final results again Qualification streak update (underlined nations have matched or beaten their longest streak to date, streaks that are longer when counting non-consecutive participations are in italics where applicable): 01 66 Hendinia (non-consecutive: 71) 02 31 Aeroche 03 28 Danæviia 04 23 Neliönoir 05 22 Cor Lupus 06 21 Kluminican Republic 07 11 Fljótavík 08 9 The Spodic Empire 09 6 Bøtanikkä (non-consecutive: 7) * 09 6 Trifoski 11 5 Freidland 12 4 Bronzil 12 4 Jadakissnia 12 4 Pestolia 12 4 République d'Áskorza 12 4 Skall 12 4 Terra Avium 18 3 Aelandor 18 3 Dobago 18 3 Elëdan 18 3 Flynnonda 18 3 Kathaldazia 18 3 Land of DW 18 3 Sovarasma 18 3 Zephyra Continuum 26 2 Ajanaeda 26 2 Cheiron 26 2 Greenfroze 26 2 Herbilore 26 2 N DNTN 31 1 Aesthetica (non-consecutive: 2) 31 1 A-Konohagakure 31 1 Ben's Sanctuary 31 1 Cumulonimbia 31 1 FARC 31 1 Juranabaijan 31 1 Lentyll 31 1 Lookylion 31 1 New Helvetica 31 1 Ojnoj 31 1 Taahino 31 1 Yehesi xx (6) Dalisska xx (5) Baleghde et al xx (5) Deandria xx (5) Scotland 2 xx (4) Altyr Muunilinst xx (4) East Rukahavian ** xx (3) Séyetana xx (2) Ennea xx (1) Jupiterdonia xx (1) Summericia ** xx (1) Zanmatony * Bøtanikkä's mid-contest withdrawal from BJSC 180 is not counted as a DNQ for the purposes of this list ** did not enter this contest so may resume a non-consecutive streak in the future Not much to note at the top end again as the top 8 all continue as they were - Hendinia were already auto-qualified of course to march onto new national and overall records of 66 qualifiers in consecutive contests and 71 non-consecutive, Aeroche stay in 2nd now matching their last run of 31 in a row (5 away from matching their record from the run before that), Danæviia still 3rd and Neliönoir 4th increasing their national records to 28 and 23 respectively while Kluminican Republic and The Spodic Empire also further increase their current record runs to 21 and 9 respectively. The top 10 is back down to only containing 10 countries though - the run of previously 9th placed Dalisska came to an end, as did that of 3 of the 5 countries who had been placed joint 10th. Bøtanikkä also had an auto-qualifier to survive in the top 10 by default and Trifoski also made the cut. 5 of the 11 countries who lose their streaks had been on national records (East Rukahavian may resume theirs as a non-consecutive run - if they return and qualify with their next entry they'll still match their non-consecutive record of 5, previously achieved in BJSCs 58-60 & 70-71, hopefully there won't be a 9 contest break this time!), but Freidland and Zephyra Continuum both extend theirs to 5 and 3 respectively and Herbilore get back-to-back qualifiers for the fourth time after previously doing so in BJSCs 172-173, 177-178 & 180-181, fourth time lucky to make it to 3? Finally New Helvetica qualify with their debut entry to get on the board with a 'streak' of 1.

nnn at me somehow only just now realising 'Elderbrook' has been spelt wrong this entire contest (I have scrubbed all evidence of this other than this post )

UK Singles Chart new entry of the week | 2026 Weeks 19 & 29
(hope I won't miss out any new entries in the catchup weeks from the 'LW: -1' nonsense on the OCC website - of course I remembered to include 'honeybee' this week x)
