The ones that explode are usually unexpected and the ones you think will be massive often aren’t that big:
Robbie and Kylie
Gary and Robbie
Coldplay and Rihanna
Gaga and Beyonce
Madonna and Britney
All reasonaby decent hits but I don’t think reach expectations or exploded.
Whereas no-one would have asked for
Daft Punk and Pharrrell
Robin Thicke and Pharrell
Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera
Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
But these are collaborations that I’d say exploded.

On a sort of waffling related note...GH sales have always bugged me due to different but very similar versions on multiple releases eg Take That is an example, but it's probably the same for other artists...
I believe Take That are releasing a GH soon - probably for the end of the year and possibly with new tracks.
I'd prefer this to be solely from Patience onwards as there is already the original GH from the 90s and then Never Forget from the 00's.
It's interesting that the track listing on Never Forget is almost identical to the original GH, a bit like a special edition really, and if both those TT greatest hits sales were combined as they're essentially the same thing, then I think TT GH would become one of the best selling albums in the UK - possibly top 10?
And if the record company packages the new GH up with Never Forget and/or the original GH like the Queen GH 1, 2 and 3 bundle which records individual sales of each item, and if GH and Never Forget sales were combined, then the sales ranking of TT GH would be more reflective of actual sales.

Your opinion about standard and deluxe edition albums
in UK Charts
I only buy the Deluxe if I'm a particular fan of the artist, otherwise it's standard for me. Glory Days as an example was great as a standard album...no deluxe or re-issue required to appreciate it.
I am a fan of 9-11 track albums...from Make it Big to Blackstar...with well a well thought out quality track listing. All this padding to make something stick doesn't do it for me.
I like to enjoy an album in about 40 mins. It makes me want to listen to it multiple times and this can be done more easily when I don't need an hour or so to listen...so I can listen more often.
There are exceptions of course, like Rhythm Nation, but they are generally long for creative and not commercial reasons.
