Daughtry get UK release
Don't forget Kimberley Locke - her single was so UK friendly and should have been huge. They screwed the second release though. Not sure if the album was released here but it is really good. I think Daughtry will do well. Also, a while back when Carrie was advertising Sketchers on UK posters on the tube the posters stated the album release date. She'd need to promote but she could do well - it's been a while since Shania.

Christmas No.1 odds from William Hill
With the right PR, the right song and the right video I think that Kylie could be a contender. Particularly if there was a battle as people would rather have her over many otheres.. however, I don't think she'll go for it - it will be too close to the single promoting the album. She should do a real christmassy new song - we need one of those. I am sick to death of Mariah!!

Top 75 Singles and Albums w/e 31 March
I think both Jamelia and Lemar will release career prolonging greatest hits as their next releases. If done at Xmas I think they will sell enough to get another studio release. Dannii should have done that instead of the stupid dumbass strategy she used with her GH.

HMV Charts - 08/01/07
MMMM. They tend to discount indie and therefore they will have a better showing in this chart and skew it somewhat. Take That almost out the Top 20 highlights how skewed it is. Acts like McFly will barely dent this chart (whereas will do better in a chart like Woolies) and therefore not being available in the higher numbers, they won't get the space and therefore won't have the opportunity to sell as well. I think that CD shops should display the official chart. It's not that I like McFly per se (I don't) but I just think fairs fair. HMV position themselves as a "real" music store with that, comes the inevitable music snobbery - in my opinion at least. In my local HMV, the albeit new singles chart, is so hidden at the back of the store in corner next to the posters!!! (Reading The Oracle) they'll be lucky to sell any. Just the ones they decide to put by the cash registers.

TT - Shine - released FEB 12th
Shine is already Top 40 on iTunes as an album track. This sort of this could hurt sales later on.

Take That Album
Thanks - maybe I can be clearer. Take That are greater then the sum of the four parts - together they just have that magic ingredient.

Take That Album
Te most fabulous thing about Take That I have aways thought, is that together, they are far more than the sum of the four parts. It's like the Kylie thing you can't quantify. Somehow, when they are together they become something else. And it really helps that the songs are quality.

Take That Album
Maybe not - chart battles inflate sales. If Westlife hadn't had the chart battle publicity I doubt they would have sold as much week one. You never know though. I would say that TT will sell a million by the time the last single is released. They can clean up at Valentines AND mothers day as well if they get it right. The other thing is, and it was mentioned earlier, the album has had great reviews and it is truly excellent. Nostalgia will take them only so far, I hope that the quality is recognised.

New download chart Top 200, w/e 02/12/06
Also, album trcaks are downloaded sometimes when people whow it will be a single but before it has been released as one. The iTunes chart s usually full of them.

When did the charts die?
I think you have o remember that pre-sales are not included (at least I don't think they are). SexyBack and I Don't Feel Like Dancing had loads of legal downloads which were not chart eligable.

B-10 Not that I could do it, so admiration all round, but the rest look dated.

Christmas No.1 Album
Take That - Audience with next week followed by an appearance on The X Factor final alomg with great reviews will nail it for Take That. And rightly so. New material needs to win.

Funny campaign from the sun!
She makes so many mistakes with chart positions and sales figures that I wouldn't give the details any credit. Having said that, if someone does stop Westlife, then she will think it was to do with her and get all big headed (more). For that reason I hope Westlife hit 1 - the others are not so great anyway. I would rather Girls Aloud went to number one.

Beatles Love Album with tracklisting
Well, Heather Mills-McCartney has to be paid somehow.

New Release Schedule - 16 October
Are Katherine McPhee and Kellie Picker getting the same UK release date before Taylor Hicks, or Carrie Underwood for that matter?

Cover Design
Nice but why have a pic of Tower Bridge?

How Many #2s have there been?
I counted 10 for Kylie - and that's so far as I am sure she will have more but how unlucky (or lucky depending on how you look at it). There could be someone who had more though, Cliff Richard maybe but I can't be bovvered to go and count another!
