Songs from new artists generally take MONTHS to get going, let alone peak. For example, The Wanted - Glad You Came. After 4 months it had only sold ~400k. Current total is 3,388,000. A lot of you are looking at it's US performance with a UK chart mentality. The download culture, the chart system... it's completely different.

So happy that Kelly got an airplay hit with Catch My Breath :D

10k first week would put it top 40. Doubt that'll happen.

Mimed or not it was a nice performance. I was expecting her to bring it a bit more though, it seemed very safe compared to say, the performances I've seen of that song at the Superbowl etc.

LOL. This thread.

Jay Leno also said it is coming out end of the month, why haven't we got more details on it :( It's surely an EP, hope there's some new tracks on it as well though :)

Shame JAPONESQUE didn't sell better. I still listen to it all the time, probably my favourite album of hers :D Lol at the complete lack of variety at the top of the singles charts. Can't wait for those fads to disappear... Shame they're going from strength to strength at the moment :(

100% agree. I actually prefer music in straight places as they seem to play a lot more current music and the original edits. Whereas gay places seem to play shitty remixes more often. For what it's worth I've heard Scream & Shout played in both straight and gay bars/clubs.

Probably cross 20million this week. So proud of Tay Tay <3

Lol at the awful guest duets. Was there no budget left? Simon clearly trying to sabotage Carly by getting her to sing with LeAnn Rimes, otherwise known as professional home wrecker and weirdo to everyone in USA... And they sang together more like a battle round from The Voice than a duet.

YAY got my iTunes+ version. I'm going to be so bored of this song though by the time it's released over here.

Another double? Probably CeCe and Diamond then.

Lol at that, just watching it now. Who is she referring to when talking about this person she sang with who couldn't harmonise properly?

Because Hot Digital Songs =/= iTunes chart. There are other download services!

They're all up on her vevo. Minus the extremely awkward encounter with her lithpy super fans, she seems the most comfortable and natural I've seen her in years when she's just talking about her music videos and it was really interesting getting her perspective on some of them :)

T9JbKOcmBUg I love Kelly and will defend her to the end of the Earth but MY GOD she looks porky in this video.

Stronger will defo reach 1,000,000 in the US then :D

Well, I personally thought Kelly would be a low top 40 entry, not struggling to even go top 75... Love that Athlete are #26 :D

The Deluxe Edition was up for pre-order on iTunes but has now vanished *sigh*

^ Not that I know of... It's pretty disheartening. I know I've said this in various threads but when the release date was announced as being a week later than everywhere else, I thought for sure that was because she would be doing some promo. But it seems not... And then they decided not to release Catch My Breath as a single over here as well, instead opting to wait for the album. Not that it was going to be a big hit anyway but losing a day of sales will really hurt it *sigh*

I thought Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree usually did better than Mimi. Doesn't seem like it's being tracked though...

PHILLIP PHILLIPS – Home: 92.105 (+ 1.313) The song that refuses to die.
