iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 14th December 2014
Only with an upcoming, unreleased song though, her other performances didn't seem to ever both the Top 40.

It's true!!! Songs to become available as they go to radio
Another nail in the coffin for HMV then

HMV in trouble
Just another business which failed to adapt to a changing times. Can't wait to see the record companies blame this on piracy

iTunes Chart: November 2010 (II)
I think the advert starts in tomorrow's x factor

Sunday Chart Prediction
You make it sound like that's a bad thing. 3 words was still shifting 85,000 units at #13 last year I believe. edit: just checked, it sold 85,059 units at #14 the week before christmas So despite it not having huge first week sales, it was still selling huge amounts 2 months later

Sunday Chart Prediction
Those are pretty strong album sales really. Considering that Promise This saw a ~50% drop from Fight For This Love, for the album to be only 3.4k behind 3 words is quite something really.

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
Well it's no different than Cheryl pre-recording her X Factor performance

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
Perhaps it'll be pre-recorded? (SNL that is)

Sunday Chart Predictions
Is that including the version at #27? (I know it won't add too much, but still)

Weird thing at #27 - "Cheryl Cole - Promise"

iTunes Chart: October 2010 (III)
Promise This now #2. Definitely going to go to #1 before X Factor. As for sales, we'll probably get a better idea when we see what Bruno sold this week. She's definitely on course for over 100k though with ease

iTunes Chart: October 2010 (III)
FFTL has definitely outsold it (It's over 900k now). I think The Promise is at around 500-600k and SOTU 640k+
-
iTunes Chart: October 2010 (III)
Well it was never going to do as well as FFTL, that was her debut solo single. Just like GA have never had as big a selling single as SOTU. However the fact it should get to #1 before The X Factor performance is notable I think

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
They're both on the same label too, which is somewhat interesting. Unlikely the top 10, but I certainly see it being in the top 40/30 when the album is released like 3 words was.

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
No, the one of the same name by Cheryl Cole. It's her second single and premiered on Radio 1 this morning (like 3 words was)

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
Plus, it could shoot the track into the top 10 alongside Promise This. Talking of which, didn't 3 words (single) get to #27 during the week of the album release and stayed there until it peaked at #4 in December somewhen. I wonder if we'll see a similar thing happen with The Flood, it was played on both Radio 1 and 2 today

X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
Will Young wasn't on Syco, he was on 19 Recordings which is Simon Fuller's company Gareth Gates was the one signed to Syco. Which proves my point. As for Leona, Alex, I'm talking about male contestants/winners. Syco can't seem to handle them really
-
X-Factor Chart Thread (I)
It's mainly because runners up are signed by labels who know what they're doing whereas the winners are forced to team up with Syco.

Nadine Coyle - Insatiable
Of course they can bring her on, what is Cheryl going to do, exactly?
-
Nadine Coyle - Insatiable
Um, Cheryl can't "ban" anyone from the show. Even Simon Cowell does not have total control over the programme, there are at least 4 exec producers for the various companies involved (ITV, Syco, TBT). It's not even Simon who decides who the judges are - that's a guy called Richard Holloway. He's the person with most of the power really. Simon Cowell is simply the "public face" of the boss, behind the scenes it's far more complicated than what Simon says, goes.

Sunday Chart Predictions
So far most of the songs haven't really had a chance Usher's tracks had already been released Joe's had 0 airplay, was a cover, and was generally bad Diana Vicker's had the same problem as Joe in a lack of airplay and promo by other means, plus her performance has been ridiculed Firework again hasn't had any airplay yet, no video, no other promo, etc. What it does show is that, despite all the moaning some people do on here, you can't get a song to #1 just with The X Factor alone. A hit will be a hit and a flop will be a flop (e.g. Shakira last year) Cheryl's performance will be the real test as it's the first "proper" (has airplay, video out, other promo e.g. Radio 1 tomorrow) single to be performed on the show

First week X Factor single sales
Also need to take into account the huge increase in ratings of the show over the past two years as well. Last night saw over 15 million viewers, more than the 2008 final!

Sunday Chart Predictions
It has Pixie as 4+5, but ive no idea if that's correct or not

Sunday Chart Predictions
Umm There's an update, but it's kind mucked up - no #1, #4, etc. but Joe down to #5, Mike up to #10
