Not into acoustic versions for this era, but I do agree with you on another post where you said Melanie C numbers were a bit more consistent thanks to the content she was releasing on Spotify as well (Blame It On Me acoustic did great). Also, she needs to release a video or collab for Emotional Memory.

Well, it’s Sporty, not Ginger Spice. She’s famous for those vocals. I have the same issue with Think About It, but not here. Drum Machinine is perfection.

This is my song of the summer. I don’t think I’ve ever connected to a Melanine C track the same way before. And love the b&w “performance” video.

Am I the only one who thinks the backing vocals on Cashmere sound like the Spice Girls? One sounds like Mel B, the other Emma.. and there is a moment when the voice is a mix between Geri and Victoria. I know it’s not the girls, but it seems they used some AI to make it sound like that on purpose.

In Italy, she debuted at #10 in the FIMI Chart for cd, vinyl and cassettes. Not the main chart as far as I know.

Melanie C might be against new music (and rightfully so, IMO), but I’m sure she’d be on board to celebrate the anniversary with something worth their name: Glastonbury, Wembley.. Emma will always say yes to everything no matter what. Mel B is lazy (see how she never really cared to work hard for her solo career - I’ll never forgive her for that, I had high expectations after IWYB). The other two are a big question mark. I don’t think a GH is a great idea; the don’t have any new material, no unreleased stuff they’d be willing to share. I have the feeling this is it. And it hurts. PS: I’m against new music, but I would love a single by the Mels and Emma.

Whatever happens with the Chart, she gave us a great album, and her Team did the impossible (kudos to Melanine for being ubiquitous during the last weeks). I thought her streaming numbers were meh, and I was expecting others to have millions more than her. Kneecap, Jessie Ware, and other UK/IE artists really do struggle compared to US artists.. wow! Streaming sucks.

Also, this means she’s probably getting an independent #1 album award from the official chart. And that is also good. Either way, the outcome will be one of the best in her whole career.

I’ll always NOT love Think About It. The screaming song. It gives me headache. Even Next Best Superstar was a better choice. And that says a lot.
