I don’t agree with that. She didn’t join that GEM disaster, but she did talk in a respectful way of the others. And thanks to that too, we’ve got the best tour ever a few years later!

This album was necessary for her to understand she needed a change. VOM is a small step forward. Probably the key to Melanie C the album. She tried but she didn’t dare. That’s why she did way better with the follow-up.

I agree. Still hit me like no other song. The adlibs were amazing. This song will always be Emma & The Mels. They should perform it at least as a 3. Spice Girls forever!

Such a pity. I love Mel B voice. Victoria is not the best singer, but she’s definitely not the worst. And when they were 4, I enjoyed a lot their harmonies. The 4 of them were amazing live.. but still, without Geri they lacked a bit of spice. I’d say Victoria is essential for great harmony and provided some of the best solo lines (see Goodbye middle8).

I don’t think criticizing a woman is misogynistic per se. I mean, I heavily criticize Truss and I’ll go on with criticizing all right-wing women who support that. That said, what I’m worried about it’s the image Geri has chosen to have, her social media persona, her Common Wealth-comes first persona. When you write a book, you need to have an audience in mind: what’s her target?

Facts: Geri is a great writer and has great ideas. Whether or not she has someone helping her with crafting the final product, let’s remember she’s the main person behind songs like Viva Forever. Also facts: she can’t sing as the rest of the girls, nor can she dance. But she worked hard to compensate. She’s not the first or last popstar who doesn’t rely on a big voice. I do hope that with Trussy resignation, she’ll reconsider certain positions she’s had during the last decade. Such a disappointment for someone who has benefited from having a large LGBTQ+ fanbase. I hope her new books are not going to be TERF material. She would flop really hard.

If that’s true, I’m screaming. Jessie Ware 2020-album What’s Your Pleasure? was critically and commercially successful. What a Queen. Such talented artists for Melanie (in terms of duets and live performances): Bryan Adams, Lisa Left-Eye, Nadia Rose, Coldplay, Years & Years, Mø, Jessie Ware (if it’s true), Blossoms, Jools Holland, Victoria Beckham, and many more.

On Amazon she’s back around the top50-60. I have the feeling this is going to sell well outside debut week as Feel The Fever said. She still has some promo booked and there are many UK celebs sharing their book pics on IG

I agree with you. I think we all have friends we don’t agree with or family members. What I don’t agree with is this fear of calling out certain behaviors or point of views. As a fan, I have the right to say I don’t agree with her being a Tory And hanging out with those people. But I also have to be aware that it’s her life and she can do whatever she wants with that.

What La Bunton needs is a new pop record. Some cool vintage bangers like Maybe or Mercy by Duffy. I’d love that so much. And I’m sure it would help to sell live shows. Such a pity she kinda gave up recording new solo music.

I understand your point of views. But I’m here for the content. And the story she tells is interesting. Her childhood memories and stories are amazing. As I’m not from where she came from, I find that world totally different from mine. It’s also nice to hear someone bring so proud of their working class background - in a world where people pretend to be who they are not. It’s a different approach to autobiographies. Not the common one. And it works perfectly, especially with the audiobook.
