I love how you put it. And as a POC and LGBTQ+ person, I’m glad when I see people being respectful to each other despite their different opinions. But it hurts to see POC not taking her time to investigate before accepting anything that she’s offered. Still, just to set the record straight, this is just my personal opinion.

It’s official. People really dislike Lift Me Up. To me the song / the singing is not that terrible. What I find cringy is the production and what they did to her voice to make it sound like she’s belting, when we know she wouldn’t hit those note even if she hit her toe on the foot of the bed. In fact, she never sang this song live.

She will. I’d see her doing this also on TV. A proper show with singing / talking / guests. Like “An Audience With”.

I can see the Queens lip-sync to For Once In My Life That song is actually about empowerment and would work perfectly as a queer anthem

This Time is Geri’s Passion (Melanie C version). Bland, unnecessary, and with a song in it (Desire / I Want Candy) that has nothing to do with the rest of the album. To me, her worst record with that Stages thing (that Emma feat though, Jesus, Mary, St Joseph :rofl:) Reason, at least, is amazing / interesting at times: Home / Love To You / I Love You Without Trying / Wonderland/ Living Without You - 90% of this being b-sides

Stupid Games, Cruel Intentions (b-side), and Drown > Think About It One By One is not bad, but nothing new. I think it would have worked as a duet though. With James from Starsailors or whatever that band name is :w00t: The problem of The Sea is that nothing is a surprise, everything sounds like a bland version of things someone else had done already - and I still get that patchwork effect that personally bothers me. At least, Northern Star was cohesive in terms of production. To me, Melanie C is her best along Northern Star, hands down. I hope her new album will be at least among her top3.

I don’t like it but I recon it’s a fan fave. Think About It gives me headaches, not fond of those high pitched belting notes Burn had potential, but it screams headache as well The other songs are not that good. The book will cover plenty of Spicy happenings and stuff we don’t know or we forgot about it. Let’s put it like that - and sign my words - some blog / website already read the book for review purposes.. I now can see her promoting the book on TV to talk about certain things It perfectly matches the SW25 celebrations - and I’m glad it’s going to be Spice only-related time (I’m all for solo music, but Spice and Spice World are HERSTORY and come first). OT: Sooner or later, we’re getting a GH. A rumor: she re-recorded some of her songs with other artists (Natalie Imbruglia being one of them). Again, a rumor (it makes sense though if we think about the new version of WYG).
