Wow. This needs to become a club hit. I can see people - even non-fans - dancing to it like there’s no tomorrow. I love it and I’m ready for an album of 90s inspired bangers. No poppy stuff, no rock, no r&b, just techno and 90s dance. Also, I love when there’s some vocal production (strong echo effects, distortions, and everything like that).

Not offense for the girls, but ABBA are doing something amazing. The boys are great musicians, composers and songwriters and the girls great singers and songwriters. They’re doing something live that’s going to change live music forever. Again, love the Spice Girls, but a new album won’t ever be at the same level of ABBA. I’m sure some of them they would agree with that.

The streams are good compared to her standards, but if her team pushes a bit more on the album as Sammy says, it would be better and a lesson learnt for the next release. Version Of Me numbers are 😱 They know it’s all about sharing new content (remixes, acoustic versions) and pitch that to playlists creators. Again, great job, but the team needs to work hard to increase those numbers if they want to help Mel get another top10 album.

So, it seems we’re getting Melanie C + Touch Me + Into You on Spotify, Apple and, Deezer. Nothing more. Probably to coincide with the live performances and festivals of the next months. That’s good. Although I was excited to hear new music.

If someone had said the same for Emma, now he would be fuming. I’m not Emma’s biggest fan, but I’d never say to her, same for Geri. The girls have the right to do what they like. Melanie C is all about passion. She’s supportive of the Spice Girls and still she continues with her own small projects. Small but satisfying. Life isn’t all about big numbers, chart success and all that (and she already had all of that). Kudos to Mel to do both things. We can’t say she’s lazy Spice....

And as Geri says “it’s about you, them, everyone is welcome, Spice belongs to everyone”. So give us those rarities as they belong to us as well 😂

I miss Melanie, she really has been a great companion during the pandemic last year. EDIT: if you look carefully, it says Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer. So it’s 100% digital. Love the credits where she says “attitude: Spice Girls ✌🏻“ Also, loved the acceptance speech. Finally a Spice moment where they are not scared to address a political issue (she said in Brazil the government wants to destroy LGBTQ rights and go back to decades ago).

Love everything in terms of merchandising. I’m not happy (and surprised) from a music perspective. I think it’s now or never to release the unreleased, I don’t see fans in 10 years caring about a Spice Girls reissue with one or two new songs. Pity. As for SYBT mix, OMFG, they all sound terrible.. Emma voice is shaky, I can’t hear Victoria, Melanie C only sang a part of her adlibs, and Geri seems on the verge of losing it. Mel B is great (although that sounds demo-ish). Why releasing such an inferior version to one of their greatest song? They have the chance to push Love Thing (maybe with a feat or a 2021 version). Jesus, these girls and their team. Thank God the merch is great. I’m still thinking how I want to go bankrupt. 😂

Never Give Up On The Good Times

We all know that without Geraldine there wouldn’t have been any Spice Girls. To stay on topic, Forever proves that. I love Holler, it’s my favorite Spice song with Say You’ll Be There and Viva Forever, but the album was lackluster and had no personality. It missed the G element. It tried hard to be cool and it ended up being bland. On the other side, you had Geri with Schizophonic, a cringefest, but with personality. That said, I still think it’s fair to say Geri lyrics were and still are bad. It’s a problem of all the girls when they went solo, that’s why they’ve always been co-writers and not the only songwriter.
