If I’m honest to myself, I think they’re amazing only when they’re together. Solo projects proved they struggle a bit. The power of 5 has no competitors. Even the silliest Spice song has still smart lyrics. They were meant to be a group 😜 (and I say this even if I adore some of their solo efforts).

Outer Space Girls is the OG bop. Vicky B shines like no one with her ‘We’re rockin’ to the moon’. What a track.

It’s a no for me. But I guess it was only a demo. Victoria sounded ok, Emma nasal and Mel C scratchy. The song to me still is a way better track than 40% on Forever. It really had potential back then. I also think with the right mixing and a bit of vocal enhancement they would have sounded amazing. As for the lyrics, no comment 😂 Thank God Geri wasn’t involved.

To me a GH now would make more sense than a new album (and God if I want a new album!). Just the commercial/advertising showing the #1s Never Be The Same Again and I Turn To You, the smash hits When You’re Gone feat. Bryan Adams and Loving You feat. Matt Hunk Cardle, and the Europe hits First Day Of My Life and The Moment You Believe would be enough to secure a top20 chart position. Of course, with 2 brand new songs, darlings! (And a limited vinyl including all rarities: B-Sides For a Reason, including Viva Life, Cosmic Shower, and many more!)

I’ll try to explain what I meant. I think Melanie C works hard and I’ll never change my mind about it. The 2019 tour showed me how Mel B and her were giving it all, and I appreciated that as I payed for that ticket 😂 I respect all 5 girls. Geri was the main driving force when it came to songwriting ideas, Mel C contributed with her powerful vocals, Emma with her pleasant melodies, Mel B with her dance and rap skills, and Victoria. Saying that Melanie C wasn’t the best vocally equals to erase the thing she was most proud of: “staying quite in interviews and singing the hard bits.” Voices are a matter of taste, many fans don’t like Mel tone. But with a bit of objectivity, everybody can easily say she was the one blessed with the most talent vocally. It’s not a race. It’s about strength. All 5 girls had/have something unique. Even Victoria, that’s why for me the Spice Girls is 5, not 4, not 3. Peace ❤️

We do. But I want new music from Mel as I’d love new music from Mel B, unreleased Spice stuff, a streaming event with all 5, and a documentary. Melanie needs some kudos. When she’s involved, she’s the one working hard to give fans the best (best is not necessarily what fans like, but what she thinks she can deliver with that amount of efforts and resources).

I agree. And that’s why I guess none of the girls really shares their political views that much. I mean, compared to US American artists. I guess they really shitted their knickers when they were called Tories (minus Geri who turned into one of them). By the way, the girls medley was amazing. I loved how touching was Goodbye and the tears in their eyes. Geri used the shock-value and she won the press, but the girls were at the top of their games (pity it’a when they were going separate ways).

No argument, darling. And of course, you’re free to not support her. I stopped supporting Emma solo efforts when I realized the music wasn’t that good, I didn’t support Mel from Reason to This Time (Stages it didn’t happen). But I still think all 5 girls have to do what they like. That’s why I love the Spice Girls, 5 different personality. And personalities have ideas and need freedom. Again, no argument, it’s just my point of view 😉

They were! I remember that was the day when Ginger “died” for me. When the girls thanked her and Mel C said she hoped to reunite with her, I almost believed this was going to happen. Geri had her reasons though. And her ego as well 😬 By the way, that Bag It Up performance is 😬. I watched it last night and now I can see how she hid her lack of talent behind feel-good dance routines that kids normally do on TikTok. Queen of envisioning things.

I’m here for it if she includes the touching Viva Life, the s*xual-driven Golden Shower, and the Ivor Novello-nominated Cool As You with megastar Peter Aristone. I can picture the commercial on TV.

No one’s ever gonna top Mutya / Keisha / Siobhan’s live version of No Regrets. Those voices blend like perfection. “I don’t wanna feel like I’m Heidi.”

Really? Wow, I’m shocked. So if the others are doing nothing and Mel C in the meantime works hard as always to give her fans a new album, you’re gonna use this excuse to trash her as most of fans of the girls here do? Or if Emma wants to continue with her projects and what she loves? Sorry folks, I struggle to understand this. As Chemistry says, they DON’T owe us anything.

Little Mix are great vocally. It’s impossible to state the opposite. And I love Jade. She’s cool and I hope she goes solo soon. Personally I don’t enjoy their music, it seems too copy-paste compared to what the Spice Girls or other girlbands have done. Kudos to them though for giving credits to the OG Goddesses.

Mel B is not lazy when she’s already part of a project (see her commitment to the last tour vocally and as a dancer, what a performer). She’s lazy when she’s got many projects to choose. Where Mel C would probably forget to sleep to respect the deadlines, Mel B is not a great example of great organization skills. I love her, she’s become my fave again, but I have to be honest. As for Emma, that’s why we love her. She’s the lazy baby of the group, even vocally, no improvement detected (not that she really needs it, she sings on key and has a pleasant voice).

I tried listening to Little Mix but I find their music generic. They’re talented, but meh the music is not good. All Saints and Sugababes (MKS) remain to me the best (if we don’t count our Spices). Destiny’s Child and TLC are though way better than any British girlgroup. It’s always been about the Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child and TLC (in the US no one knows Girls Aloud or the other local bands).

Mel B had great potential. She can (could) sing, she (still) can dance, she’s incredibly beautiful, and she’s got a bold personality. The Missy featuring is IMHO one of the Top3 solo songs in terms of quality and credibility. It’s nothing what a Spice fan was expecting from here, just like Goin’ Down by Melanie C. What a pity they destroyed her confidence. And she’s lazy AF.
