  1. Crap in your opinion. What if that’s what they want. Melanie C was entertaining the Pride people the other day jumping like crazy, with such energy, singing and owning the stage, like ONLY Mel B - maybe - could do. Why are they supposed to go on tour or release new music again if not all 5 feel the same? Or you want another Geri and Emma sipping tea and barely moving while the other two bring the house down? Not a diss to Emma, nor Geri. Actually, what I’m trying to say is that diapers, books, and DJ sets can still be something to be proud of when you’re doing it on your own and not sharing the spotlight with other 4 individuals. But hey, we’re never pleased with what women do..
  2. There’s no plan whatsoever. It’s done. Sign my words: there’s going to be a final project with all 5 involved and then goodbye forever, which makes sense. Each one has different interests (thank God, as they’re individuals just like us). Melanie C music, Geri books and philanthropy, Victoria fashion, and so forth.
  3. Then what it is? She’s been in the industry for almost 30 years. She’s part of the biggest girlband ever. Also, I suggest you check all her recent appearances. You’d be surprise. The audience was huge and enjoyed her. Audiences are quick to boo someone if they can’t sing, they’re stiff or boring AF.
  4. This. Perfectly put.
  5. I remember thinking Emma was the one going to be the solo star. At the end of the day, you don’t find another girl group where all members have had #1s, top10 albums, several top10 singles, and decent sales all over Europe. We should stop judging the girls solo efforts by the group standards.
  6. Yep, but she takes it seriously. She sings live, she tours, she DJs, accepts project related to music (Jesus Christ Superstar), she collaborates with other artists (Lisa Left Eye, Bryan Adams, Jessie J, Tove Lo..). The others didn’t care. They were young and thought that making solo music was just like in the Spice Girls minus the crazy schedules. And that’s why they stopped: lack of passion and commitment. Geri stopped being successful basically because of that. When she couldn’t rely any more on the gimmicks and stunts (Chris Evans says Hi), and she had to prove the she could tour, that’s when it all stopped, way before Passion. Emma had potential. It’s a pity she didn’t bother investing on live credibility when her second album was doing well. She can sing, she’s got the look, she’s not stiff as other pop stars when it comes to dancing, pity. Victoria and Mel B are the best ones to explain what I’m saying: they care(d) about success, money, and wealth. But I’ve never seen real passion there. Pity, Victoria has a pleasant voice and Mel B is THE DANCER.
  7. No way. Love Mel B - but she’s no nowhere near the ones above (unfortunately). Only Victoria could (I know it sounds fun, but she has a big name that could help her).
  8. Yep. I think the books can do well. If they market it properly, they won’t have any issues selling enough copies to get a top10. Personally, and I REPEAT, IMHO, the song is something unnecessary. Without Love (orchestral version or with a more folksy vibe) would have been a better soundtrack to that.
  9. She’s amazing. What an entertainer, and that energy. Pure talent.
  10. She won’t. But she might upload it on YouTube.
  11. She’s the best. She’s a real artist. She’s credible.
  12. I hope Geri sticks to acting and writing books. That song is atrocious. Not in a “Stages” kind of way, more like the other “I gave you the dinner, you took me to finger” song.
  13. Not my style, but Melanie’s part is actually the coolest. She has such a distinctive voice.
  14. Slay, Queens! Give us nothing!
  15. She looks amazing.
  16. Queens of Social Justice Queen of teaching all those Dutchies Queens of getting a #2 in return Queens. Your faves could never (especially Jesy Nelson) LvqYY9A1I7A
  17. If that’s what she has to bring, I don’t want another Spice Girls reunion. Give us back 4 piece Spice with Victoria! At least, she’s fun.
  18. No hate. Geri is a Spice Girl. She has contributed to the success of the group in many ways. But as I said, that doesn’t mean we have to be blind. We can criticize her choices when it comes to status, politics, and personal life. She’s a celebrity who has been outspoken through all her career about girl power - something many people still believe in - and it turned to be a gimmick for her. But hey, maybe that’s also girl power, a woman who works hard to make ends meet in a world where poverty is a stigma, a transgender woman that fights every day to be recognized as such, and a white privileged woman who is free to dream of social environments where the rich is celebrated. There’s room for all. Cheers! By the way, do you think she’s going to promote the book with an official launch event?
  19. He’s very.. old-school.
  20. I don’t think the issue is the fact she looks good or not, but what that “uniform” represents for her (if you don’t know enough about it, research about minimalism and its privileged aesthetics). And you know why I say this? It’s because she did wear a uniform once, the Union Jack dress, and put a big peace sign on the back. She went from, I’m not gonna wear the National Front to embrace the right-wing.
  21. Not even PJ Harvey refused it. And other artists who are renowned for their left/progressive views, but at least they make better choices in everyday situations. I have the feeling smart-Geri realized she wasn’t going anywhere with music and decided to adopt this new persona, which seem(ed) a bit pathological at times (try to get the sarcasm), she became obsessed with the Royals, the Commonwealth, wearing white, having a posh accent, dismissing anything too “provocative” (see when she basically said Mel B was lying about their past relationship), and more cringe stuff. Is she allowed to do all this? Hell yes! Go for it, girl! But as a queer POC, I ain’t gonna spend a penny on anything she’s releasing, whether it’s that music, books or napkins.
  22. If this was for my comment, you can see I excluded Victoria from the good examples.
  23. Anti-Spice Girls is taking pictures with Liz Truss and supporting her running for Prime Minister, a woman that didn’t show any shame when she voiced her decision to cut on the gender equality agenda. Anti-Spice Girls is saying Margaret Thatcher was the OG Spice Girl, when Thatcher believed that she “owed nothing to women’s liberation”, nor to feminism. Anti-Spice Girl is saying that, quote, “it’s about labelling. For me feminism is bra-burning lesbianism. It’s very unglamorous. I’d like to see it rebranded. We need to see a celebration of our femininity and softness.” Anti-Spice Girls is erasing your own persona and changing your name to please a man’s ego. Anti-Spice Girls is denying a past relationship with another woman, as if that was something like a bad criminal record. Spice Girls is educating others about violence against women and be outspoken about it - letting everybody know what you had to go through. Spice Girls is jumping on a truck to scream Be Proud in a country where there’s a right wing-government that opposes LGBTQ+ rights. Spice Girls is letting your kids get dressed as they want, being themselves and embracing colors in a world where everybody is asked to be plain-white.. pun intended.
  24. Also, “Mrs Christian Horner”… why? So disappointing  Thank Godney for the Mels still being outspoken (and well-spoken) feminists. And, of course, Emma and her amazing husband and queer family. The level of conserva-tory is scary.
