Roísín and Melanie already had a chart battle back in 2000 when Never Be The Same Again reached #1 and Moloko #2. I love them both and they follow each other on IG. Roísín also commented with a heart to a post by Melanie. Queens supporting each other.

iTunes: up to #8

Down to #8 because of 3 Van Halen entries. Glad to see that Amanda person down at #3, her album is a joke, same rubbish as Stages. By the way, I think Melanie is doing great, she also on the Amazon chart at #16.

Up to 76 on Metacritic and 73 on Album of the Year ❤️

Maybe she will release the deluxe version next week on streming services to reboost the interest of the album on the second week.

 

I hope so too. I think it makes more sense having the promo on the second week to avoid having a huge drop.

Up to #5 on iTunes

On Sunday I expected the album to tank on iTunes. She’s up to #5 (#4 if we don’t count the compilation). If I were her team, I would invest all my energy to promote her Spotify.

If it’s not top10, I hope it’s not under 15.

That said, I’m quite impressed by the reviews. I’m happy she’s getting some recognition. She doesn’t have enough visibility to reach a wider audience and here the help of a Major would do wonders. Was it Emma last record released indie or?

Mel has gone back up to #6 on iTunes good to see her rise again! One of them is a Now album so technically #5.

I think she’s just seen the midweek chart as she finally posted an IG story promoting the album and showing the good reviews. It bothers me that she doesn’t do enough on social media. Roísín has been working her ass off on IG.

Not to diss this Amanda person and her Stage-ish tunes, but even if Melanie C gets only a Top20, I’m sure Melanie C the Album will have a longer live: more singles, more gigs, more festivals and interest from all around the world.

 

By the way, that Amanda person is above the Queen in many charts... that says a lot about the world we are living 😂

I can’t stop listening to Melanie C. This is going to be my fave album of hers. I hope there’s a reissue around Christmas or something like that, I’ll be glad to buy it too.

She’s #7 on the iTunes worldwide album chart. The trend is not bad considering Melanie C albums normally reaches a top10/20 peak on iTunes and then they immediately fall down. That said, I hope she gets some top20 album chart around the world.

By the way, both this Amanda and the great Roísín have less Spotify listeners. Especially the first one. Let’s hope Mel’s team put out some other ideas to push the sales.
