  1. If that’s what she has to bring, I don’t want another Spice Girls reunion. Give us back 4 piece Spice with Victoria! At least, she’s fun.
  2. No hate. Geri is a Spice Girl. She has contributed to the success of the group in many ways. But as I said, that doesn’t mean we have to be blind. We can criticize her choices when it comes to status, politics, and personal life. She’s a celebrity who has been outspoken through all her career about girl power - something many people still believe in - and it turned to be a gimmick for her. But hey, maybe that’s also girl power, a woman who works hard to make ends meet in a world where poverty is a stigma, a transgender woman that fights every day to be recognized as such, and a white privileged woman who is free to dream of social environments where the rich is celebrated. There’s room for all. Cheers! By the way, do you think she’s going to promote the book with an official launch event?
  3. He’s very.. old-school.
  4. I don’t think the issue is the fact she looks good or not, but what that “uniform” represents for her (if you don’t know enough about it, research about minimalism and its privileged aesthetics). And you know why I say this? It’s because she did wear a uniform once, the Union Jack dress, and put a big peace sign on the back. She went from, I’m not gonna wear the National Front to embrace the right-wing.
  5. Not even PJ Harvey refused it. And other artists who are renowned for their left/progressive views, but at least they make better choices in everyday situations. I have the feeling smart-Geri realized she wasn’t going anywhere with music and decided to adopt this new persona, which seem(ed) a bit pathological at times (try to get the sarcasm), she became obsessed with the Royals, the Commonwealth, wearing white, having a posh accent, dismissing anything too “provocative” (see when she basically said Mel B was lying about their past relationship), and more cringe stuff. Is she allowed to do all this? Hell yes! Go for it, girl! But as a queer POC, I ain’t gonna spend a penny on anything she’s releasing, whether it’s that music, books or napkins.
  6. If this was for my comment, you can see I excluded Victoria from the good examples.
  7. Anti-Spice Girls is taking pictures with Liz Truss and supporting her running for Prime Minister, a woman that didn’t show any shame when she voiced her decision to cut on the gender equality agenda. Anti-Spice Girls is saying Margaret Thatcher was the OG Spice Girl, when Thatcher believed that she “owed nothing to women’s liberation”, nor to feminism. Anti-Spice Girl is saying that, quote, “it’s about labelling. For me feminism is bra-burning lesbianism. It’s very unglamorous. I’d like to see it rebranded. We need to see a celebration of our femininity and softness.” Anti-Spice Girls is erasing your own persona and changing your name to please a man’s ego. Anti-Spice Girls is denying a past relationship with another woman, as if that was something like a bad criminal record. Spice Girls is educating others about violence against women and be outspoken about it - letting everybody know what you had to go through. Spice Girls is jumping on a truck to scream Be Proud in a country where there’s a right wing-government that opposes LGBTQ+ rights. Spice Girls is letting your kids get dressed as they want, being themselves and embracing colors in a world where everybody is asked to be plain-white.. pun intended.
  8. Also, “Mrs Christian Horner”… why? So disappointing  Thank Godney for the Mels still being outspoken (and well-spoken) feminists. And, of course, Emma and her amazing husband and queer family. The level of conserva-tory is scary.
  9. Brazilian Queen Queen of opposing Bolsonaro Queen of Colors of the world Queen of taxis and trucks
  10. This is golden. But I’m biased, I’m not a big fan of celebrity families and talentless nepokids.
  11. Emily doesn’t know Emma yet. She better be careful and respect the girls or Baby Naughty Spice is going going to come for her. - Emily: girls, we finally want you at Glasto! - Emma: what took you so long? - Emily: well, you weren’t cool back in the day - Emma: I gotta take some time Say what's on my mind Before I get too close to you Cos I feel that I'm About to cross the line And there's no going back once I do
  12. Same. I’d love at least a duet with Melanie C. Never Be The Same Again needs to be performed once with Mel B. She could rap and sing in the chorus! I miss her really. She’s a great dancer and she can sing.
  13. I died. :w00t: Btw, who’s Emily?
  14. Where is Mel B? What is she doing? I hate so much she gave up music..
  15. What about the sudden change of mind? What happened that did make her brave again? There must be something cooking. I trust you as what you say matches what then happens.. but I’ll be shocked (and happy, of course) to see Vicky B involved. Is it because it’s a possible goodbye tour?
  16. I wish it was that easy. But hey, at least she’s using her new persona to do some good. I know it’s not like the folks helping refugees in the Mediterranean Sea or volunteers working directly with homeless people.. let’s see what she does. I want to give Geri a chance.. she seems a bit lost and trying to find herself again.
  17. I am a middle aged woman inside a body of a gay person. I’ll buy two copies.
  18. Where’s this Iconic Albert Hall pub? Camden? Geri is always there, even when we don’t see her. Also Victoria has supported the other girls without having to share a press release all the times. Sometimes we forgot they have their own private lives and channels that allow them to support each other’s solo efforts safe from the press. Queens of not splitting up publicly back in the day to avoid the paps.
  19. That’s why. I don’t think this book will be her “comeback”. I think she’s looking somewhere else, something related to Royals charities or even politics. She wants to be taken seriously, and the white dress uniform is part of that. It’s a complete erasure of Ginger Spice and Geri to welcome a new persona. If she’s happy, we’re all happy.
  20. Hi, Tom. :teresa:
  21. I don’t think she’s embarrassed. She just knows she needs to act a certain way to be fully accepted in certain “places”. Geri is smart, she calculates everything. I poked fun at her wearing white, then it all made sense. The girl always have a plan!
  22. Queen Camilla Geri doing something we should all be proud of (regardless of the ties with the Monarchy). This is the Geri we need. (I really, really, really don’t see any other Spice stuff happening after this)
  23. It’d be a pity, but let’s be honest, Geri’s heart is somewhere else. Victoria, well, I don’t see her coming back and if she does, she won’t be singing a lot. As for the rest, they’re surely down for whatever. Mel B, needless to say, she can’t wait. Emma never says no. Melanie C loves touring. Let’s hope they find the best combo to make all 5 happy and - most importantly - COMFORTABLE. Let’s not forget about mental health.
  24. She is The Shakespeare of our generation: Generation Next >>>>!
