  1. She’s also no Angel - in spite of her tattoo. But I appreciate something about her, and knowing the folks of Sink the Pink, they confirmed what I knew: she listens and admits when she’s ignorant about something. That’s the ally I want. We don’t seek perfection. On the other hand, I don’t see the same commitment from the others, but yes, who am I to judge.. at the end of the day, they were marketing and they’ll always be (buy our new hoodie!) - just like any other act does.. LGBTQ+ and minorities are a target audience for them. (Read this laughing, I’m not mad, it’s just my point of you and I think that - even if this thread should be more about light topics, it’s ok to give also some visibility to important things- at the end of the day, the girls themselves are citizens who have an opinion and vote).
  2. “Used to buy us for 20 years, and we want to say Thank you.” #nomorehoodies
  3. Go Go Go has potential And those harmonies. Wow! Woman is still a big nope for me. And I hate Mel B “louder baby”, her voice cracks. There’s also another part live where Melanie C screams she’s possessed and nope, girl, that’s not it. I hope one day we’ll get Go Go Go full version even with a fanmade instrumental.
  4. I used to be a huge fan of Melanie during that era. But I really want her to continue with what she’s done with her last album. I really hope she's never recording a ballad ever again. The harder she gets with those beats, the better it is.
  5. Ahhhhhh you’re right. I mean, of course I was trying to be funny about something that is actually a serious matter for me. And yes, Mel B was there but that was more of a job. She didn’t post any celebratory image. Same for Melanie C when the Queen, Her Colonizer, died.
  6. I suggest you read the comments to those IG posts, hennie.
  7. Yes, it’s official. After Spice Girls “The Power of 5”, Spice Girls -Geri, GEM, and Spice Girls -The one who empowers women through fashion, another line up is here: Spice Tories, the combo we never thought we would see. With lead singer and Iron Lady, Geri Horner, and backup singers, the other two. And who cares about the LGBTQ+ and indigenous people of the unCommon Wealth. At least, they were in good company, Katy “JustEat” Perry, Take That-tax evasion, and the beautiful Kwing Camilla. Viva Forever, Diana.
  8. Seems quality is subjective. I consider Emma’s discography a whole let down in terms of quality. Not one single song worth remembering. WTYSL and Maybe are nice pop songs, that’s it, the rest is forgettable (the same way, IMHO, anything from Reason to Version Of Me is. She’s my third favorite voice in the group, after the Mels, but even Mel B has more interesting songs in her short catalogue.
  9. I hope she sings SG songs by herself. No need for other duets.
  10. Yeah, but at the end both Gerita and Mel C outsold her. Emma doesn’t have a memorable song on her own. Both Gerita and Mel C do.
  11. This is like last year Sugababes spot, if I’m not mistaken. Nice to see her there for a second year. Last time she DJ’d (and it went pretty well with people praising her mashups), and did the duet with the indie band on SUYL and the crowd went crazy. Hope she’s bring some spice and new music.
  12. Coo! She’ll never going to sell tons of record, nor be a streaming queen. If I were her, I’d go fully experimental with the new album, something more about quality than TikTok type of uptempo music. She has lots of connections with big DJs, and people like Hot Chip. I’d love for this record to get something like indie dance / electronica.
  13. Whenever I see her, I think of this - her attitude - and how it didn’t age well: sCY1GiCzWSE
  14. She’s like an unseasoned version of Emma Bunton, and that says a lot.
  15. Girl she’ll be back in Palm Spring for some Cali Sun and Pitchfork Live! After NME review of Melanie C the album, my eyes are witnessing her name on Pitchfork. I can’t. Her new management seems to be good at what they do.
  16. I’m sure about that. I didn’t even know about the live version. And I remember hearing that remix somewhere. I’ll try to find it on YouTube - I normally don’t dream about things like that ahhhh
  17. This is - together with This Time, Stages, LA State of Mind, A Girl Like Me, and all VB discography - the worst when it comes to Spice Girls music. It’s not even camp, fun, anything she was meant to be. The album cover says boring, the documentary says annoying, the music is basically AI generated content with no soul. IMHO, her second album is the best.
  18. She should have included that song as a b-side (Spice World single vs b-side material problem as always) to Closer or Feel The Sun. But I guess her mental health problems kinda change the plans. If I’m not wrong Feel The Sun remix was sent to American radios. Even Suddenly Monday was a better choice. Closer has a Spanish end of summer type of nostalgia and I could see the video being shot in a former corrida arena, without the bulls of course, like one of Madonna’s song.
  19. I remember hearing that song on the radio and thinking it was their next single and spent the rest of the day singing “anytime, anywhere, anytime, underwear.” MSS sounds a bit like Stop, it has some Motown pop vibes. And as Stop, I don’t think it had any chances to be a hit back then. Those lyrics.. ouch. The girls sound lovely, even Victoria. Glad they didn’t release it as a single, sad they didn’t include it as a b-side somewhere.
  20. I lost Melanie C from Reason to Version of Me (although I loved Anymore). This Time is like a thousand sleeping pills.
  21. That documentary - unfortunately - made me hate her attitude and personality. And I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. It’s a pity considering Geri is an intelligent person. She did signed for a car crash and she has never recovered since then. My fave documentaries: 1. Victoria Beckham - Coming to America 2. Melanie C - Northern Star
  22. I gagged. What a Kween. 1. Love that she said what she said about that project. That album should be removed from Spotify as none of the original members who came up with the name are there. 2. The Heidi reference. She basically said what we all knew. Little miss sunshine did play her part in kicking Keisha out of the group. Glad she’s moved on and they don’t hate each other. 3. She’s the Moment.
