Would hardly call Madonna a flop act in so called download era :o , 4 Minutes hit no 1 on downloads alone before it was released physically a week later :dance: . Your clearly referring to Miles Away single :( TRUE it was Miles Away from her normal chart postions ( ie mainly hitting the top 10 with most of her releases since 1984 :w00t: ) BUT with no promo, no video, little airplay & the song referred to as "The Divorce Song" hardly encouraging ppl to buy it :( . Kylie & Janet both did promo ie X-factor but they still flopped. Madonna has 1 song that flops & shes written off as a 1 hit act

I agreed this song is worse song of the year, sadly they played a clever card by going on X-Factor So now its bound to be top3 lets hope album does reverse & goes down but i doubt it Its so not worthy it was a bad performance live with a few cock ups

She's had two hits in top 10 in July 1985. No1 with Into the Groove & No 2 with Holiday. Gambler came a out in Oct before that was Angel in Sept think Holiday def would have slipped out of top 10 by Sept.

Think Olly will get as high as Top 3 on sunday & on first hearing of the Xfactor single i actually think its better than i thought it would be so will probably hit the top slot no problem.

Celebration is out of top 100 albums :cry: , down to No 120 from ast weeks No92 with sales of 1,257 Its sales in Uk are now at 416k

& down she goes again a massive 54 places :o to No 92 eek, guess sales be around 1.5k hmm short lived appearance in charts this time.. :unsure:

I agree lets face it first day sales are generally higher as its all pre ordered sales, but looks like No1 on cards so far doubt Em will catch up now if she has doubled his first day sales...

Probably also coz they make sexier videos as well so people will buy the song if its catchy etc plus also the producer are probably male & gay 2 so know wot sells. Pink pound etc something poppy/dancey/chessey a great hook of a chorus & a interesting/sexy video with hot guys in perhaps & the artist looking sexy 2 it will sell to gay population as well as appeal to the straight community so becomes more poplular its a winning formula Name one MALE artist who does all that ( ok has sexy women in his video then minus rappers & looks hot on video 2) Ya cant i rest case. Madonna has signed Natalie Dormer to portray Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in Madonnas 2nd film as director The film is about the Edward VIII abdication crisis. Dormer is known for her portral of Anne Boleyn in the television series The Tudors. “This country tends to remember the Queen Mother as a rather wrinkly 97 year-old, but I am playing her when she was quite an enchanting, engaging twenty and thirty something,” the Telegraph quoted Dormer as saying. She added: “She was quite a savage and savvy game player.” I was really impressed with Natalie as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors so looks promising for the film although BAD NEWS is actress Margo Stilley has quit over “artistic differences”.
