I thought i read she ( Mariah) did a free gig 4 fans in usa 2 boost sales but looks like didnt help much. I recon both albums will fall next week but Madonna will pick up more neare xmas as its a G.H so people buy them for pressys etc i know i will be :dance:

Being a G.h album americans dont seem to go for, so they keep saying ( even tho I.C sold 10 million to date) and this is now her third g.h i am happy its top 10. Bet Mariah aint happy or her record bosses all that Pr she did shows shes fading i recon :dance:

First-week sales projections had estimated that Paramore would finish ahead of the two divas. As it turns out, Streisand surprised many with how well her album sold in non-traditional ways -- such as through Starbucks, QVC and via her Web site -- and that likely threw a wrench into forecasting sales. "Brand New Eyes" gives Paramore its best sales week and highest charting album ever. The band's sophomore album, "Riot!," peaked at No. 15 in 2007. "Eyes" also starts at No. 1 on the Top Digital Albums tally with a whopping 73,000 downloads. Carey's "Memoirs" begins its Billboard 200 life with 168,000 -- off quite a bit from the opening of her last set, 2008's "E=MC2." The latter effort bowed at No. 1 with 463,000, her biggest first-week sum ever. Those titles are just three of the record-breaking eight entries in the top 10. Rock band Breaking Benjamin's "Dear Agony" arrives at No. 4 with the act's best sales week -- 134,000. It's the Hollywood Records band's first release since 2006's "Phobia" debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 125,000. Alice in Chains visits the top 10 for the first time since 1996 as its new album, "Black Gives Way to Blue," bows at No. 5 with 126,000. The album is the band's first with new vocalist William DuVall, who replaced the band's late frontman Layne Staley in 2006. Madonna's new greatest hits set, "Celebration," starts the party at No. 7 this week with 72,000. Rounding out the top 10 entries are Miranda Lambert's third album, "Revolution" (No. 8 with 66,000) and Selena Gomez and the Scene's "Kiss and Tell," which debuts just a little behind Lambert's sum at No. 9 with 66,000. Only two albums in this week's top 10 also appeared on last week's chart: Pearl Jam's "Backspacer" falls from No. 1 to No. 10 with 58,000 (down 69%) while Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 3" drops from No. 2 to No. 6 with 89,000 (down 34%).

Looks like Madonna hits No7 on Billboard Hot200 with 70k sales :yahoo: Poor old Mariah settles for No3 hehe all that promo she did as well Get down love ya failing as sooooo boring same old style & covers. Bye bye Mariah youve had your time cya :dance: Steill waiting for ydays sales for the album here in uk but asa i will add em.

Album sales a lot lower this week but top 5 as follows:- No1 Barbara Striesand 8.4k No2 Madonna 7.9k No3 Paramore 6.1k No4 Mumford & Sons 5.7k No5 Muse 5.2k Madonna in a good 2k lead at no2 but only 500 lower than Babs curently No1 another close week ahead. I suspect sales for Babs are mainly from Johnathan Ross interview over weekend, so Madonna has a good chance of reclaiming top spot Will see huh.

There was only 1.042k copies between Paramore & Madonna in the end, so i recon she will bounce back to No1 next weekend not much competition this week. Dont think Whitney will hit Top 10 either

Down sadly by just 1.042 copies No1. Paramore 53.596k No2. Madonna 52.554k I recon she could reclaim next week after the good 2nd week sales. Early reports are the single has dropped to No 14 from 8

I heard Celebration on local Radio this afternoon yay i still think its a good song & deserves better, maybe thats why its not plumiting down the charts like everyone predicted it would do Its slowly slipping but hanging on in there, you show em Madge Have you seen the Letterman interview she looked good & gave a good interview from what seen. :dance:

I aint fussed just interested in how the sales going as press said would not sell as its 3rd GH etc but is and i imagine will do well in few months time maybe reach top 10 sellers of 2009. Time will tell yay keep ya posted
