  1. I check the kworb global Spotify streams and see IYE higher consistently but assumed that’s because it was a massive radio hit in Europe at the time, more so than LAFS.
  2. I’d be very interested in an indie folk kylie album. I’m thinking Ocean Blue, Paper Dolls & This Girl. A nice melodic chill acoustic vibe. I’d also be down for an electro left-field album. In the vein of Limbo, CIMW Fischerspooner mix, LAFS Scumfrog mix, Slow Mylo mix. Or indeed anything else she wants to put out 🤣

Alison Limerick - Where Love Licks Typo? Weird Lenny K’s It Ain't Over Til It's Over going gold this week, a week after Mutya’s Real Girl which samples it went silver!

Lord Huron - The Night We Met (4x) Never heard of this before and wiki says it got to number 77. Certs are baffling sometimes! Made up for Mutya’s Real Girl, it’s my best mate’s favourite ever song!
  6. Hope she’s recorded Baby Doll to be released for the docu. It became a talking point of interviews for years so seems apt. Maybe a ‘duet’ version with her & Prince sharing vocals

Charli’s Sucker remains my favourite album by her. Criminal it’s taken 12 years to get silver, although saying that I don’t think I actually bought it 😆
  8. Oh poo, missed the voting 🤦‍♂️

Beck Loser Plat 🙌 Remember it being out around the same time as Suede’s stay together & blur’s girls & boys but thinking he’s be another American indie one hit wonder, happy I was wrong.
  10. LCA was doing about 7k now 14k Spotify worldwide

The charts are dry clean only Melanie!
  12. I was a MASSIVE Pulp fan 1993 onwards, seen them live so many times. Met up with my Pulp pen pal at the V96 festival to watch them together. We were dancing and chatting then they said they were playing a new song and ‘Help the aged’ started. We both pissed ourselves laughing thinking it was an improvised joke song and then the longer it went on it became less funny when we realised it was genuine. I still thought ‘oh it might just be an album track or b-side’ but no! glad there were much better songs on This is hardcore.
  13. Ah ok, no worries. Just people were lamenting songs not getting through and I thought I’d missed something.
  14. Love the OG of M People’s first hit so to me it’s a No29 single. Gutted for Dusty, I only became aware of it when it became the theme tune to one of my favourite ever comedy programs, Smack the pony. What’s the benchmark for making it to the next round? Apols if it’s already been said.
  15. Noooo, not RuPaul’s favourite ever song (Rick Astley) only getting 16 points 🤯
  16. Just had a thought that the Netflix doc would be the perfect place to debut her version of Baby Doll, lash it on streaming after the doc drops. 🤩

Spare a thought for Lisa Stansfield, she’s still looking for her baby despite having been around the world several times now in the last 36 years.
  18. After voting I was freaked out when I watched Tron Ares the next evening and Depeche Mode was mentioned with chart position! Bit gutted not many have voted for Song 4 Mutya, hope it gets through, I love it so much.
  19. Olivia, Raye & EsDeeKid smashing it for the UK. Made up for the scouse lad breaking the top 40 over the pond.
  20. She’s mentioned going through photos & listening to mixes of her songs so I feel she’s been quite thorough looking back on her career. I’m hoping that as it’s an official doc we’ll get steve Anderson & Biff and other collaborators giving their tuppence worth which may have a little more detail. Jake, Calvin Harris, Sia (with huge wig covering her head) & Nick Cave
  21. I was so temped to stick I’d rather Jack on the end but Bowie won out. I tried to go for songs that I actually play semi-regularly

Madge & Kylie getting album certs same day 🫶
  23. Cheeky chart fact : Number 8 is the only position in the top ten that Girls Aloud & Justin Timberlake didn't hit
  24. For Joel to keep bringing it up it a good sign. And I guess if Kylie is still saying maybe to him (or not ruling it out) then maybe it does just need a little re-write and re-record which she can do anywhere now. Can do without another 10p video though.
  25. Agree for rarities but I find it frustrating that step back in time is an incomplete album on streaming due to licensing. With Elton, Fleetwood Mac, Eminem, ABBA greatest hits all being mainstays in the albums charts I think it’s silly not to have an ‘album’ where casual fans can go to play the big hits to get the streams/sales clocking up. Even a single long CD length (20 tracks) would do the job. Those with the biggest streaming numbers + early mega hits + recent highlights. Sorted.
