  1. All the lovers regularly gets played after I choose to play anything pop on Apple Music along with Material Girl & New Rules.

Yey for spinning around! Also I was dancing like a loon to Galvanize at my 50th party last week. On my own on the dancefloor eek
  3. Finally! Yes, I’m onboard for streaming Tension more. It seems to come up more often than Padam on autoplay after I play a pop album on Apple Music so fingers crossed it gets there soon.
  4. It’s called ‘In YOUR Eyes’ Assuming you’re referring to Fever’s 2nd single.
  5. Meh :( I’m streaming at least once a day
  6. I’ve been praying extra hard to Carol & Ron for Padam to go platinum today. C’mon you little ripper!
  7. Or have as physical only b-sides to singles to make them more attractive to purchase. I can see why they would put potential b-sides on streaming as they wouldn’t count towards the main single like remixes do.
  8. Wonder if Bananarama are the girl group to have the most top 10 hits without a platinum cert? Don’t even think they’ve had a gold!

Happy for Kylie’s certs. Joy for Tension selling 100,000 when there’s two 20+ platinum albums though! Tadpole verses whales.
  10. So 7x Platinum is 2.1m but official reports have stated it’s been over that for a while so why the certification now? Did PWL/BMG request it? Dec 23 Released in neon pink and clear aquamarine vinyl editions to mark its 35th birthday, Kylie Minogue’s 1988 debut album Kylie re-enters the Top 75 (No.30, 3,675 sales) for the very first time since it completed its initial 67-week chart run – including six weeks at No.1 – in 1989. Also known as Kylie: The Album, it has to-date sales of 2,138,841. Oct 24 Minogue’s debut album, Kylie, which remains her biggest seller with to-date sales of 2,142,128
  11. Awesome newses!! Padam platinum next :)
  12. So it was on 555,230 as of 28th October. In 2024 to that date it averaged around 3,700 a week so it could very well go platinum in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Tension the album must be teetering on the brink of Gold too (96,532 as of 28th oct) Exciting!
  13. Agree completely! She could even appear in an advert with the song playing. I know “At Christmas” was kinda a single with a bit of promo but it’s mad it gets 5 times the Spotify streams of “ Christmas Isn't Christmas Till You Get Here” defo scope for the latter to grow.
  14. I saw them live in the last few years & they were awesome, great tracks to dance to. Their Brother Sister album is a classic & the Greame Park mix of Back to love is a house classic.

LOVE White Lies first album & Farewell To The Fairground is a proper indie banger. Checking on bpi the album is gold, 2nd album silver & this is 1st single cert
  16. Hoping for a stand alone release pre-tour with Kylie on the Og backing track, with Prince BVs then an electro-funk version to modernise. I think Kylie’s version should do the first verse totally acapella to drum home the virginal aspect of the lyrics. Be the first to kiss these lips, Lead astray these fingertips, Be the first to spread these wings, (pervarama!) Show me love and everything. Normally I hate general terms in pop lyrics like ‘everything’ (Bananarama’s Stuff like that I’m looking at you) but here it totally makes sense as she’s just emerged from her chrysalis & is wanting to experience the world. Little bit obsessed with Baby Doll atm

I just don’t get the popularity of Riptide. Whenever I see UK all-time streaming lists I play the song to remind myself what it sounds like & it leaves zero impression on me.

Bought it then played it. Might not be playing again eek

Some huge songs getting extra platinum awards in the same week. Three of them were on my mum’s 40th wedding anniversary playlist on Saturday night so defo multi-generational appeal
  21. Thanks, good to know. I think releasing extended mixes for download only the week of release didn’t help streaming numbers but most of the tracks have over a million streams or maybe several million by now.
  22. How can they count a stream for the collabs for two albums though? I’m on Apple Music & three are still greyed out. Presuming MR, DA & EOSN don’t count towards T2
  23. So Jason, Cathy Dennis, Lisa Stansfield, Marti Pellow & Pete Waterman in the documentary but nothing from Band Aid II on the new version. Guess it’s really only Kylie that’s still having hits from that version.
  24. Anyone know why T2 tracks (apart from singles) are still not showing on her kworb page? Found something last week saying Soneone for me has over 2m Spotify plays which would put it in her top 150 https://kworb.net/spotify/artist/4RVnAU35WR...google_vignette
