OCC's Favourite Number 2 Single
I went for "Groove is in the heart" due to the whole Joint number 1 thing. I like the song too. I guess Strawberry Fields/Wonderwall/Common People are more likely to win but I wanted to bump a pop/dance song up there.

OCC's Favourite Number 2 Single
Too many to choose. I will be doing Popjustice with my vote though!

Looking for Robbie album sales figures
You can't even buy 2004's greatest hits on iTunes & i'd suspect IAOOC is the only hits CD EMI would still produce.

Where does it end? Are the OCC gonna threaten wikipedia to take down all their chart info on artists, peak positions, sales awards etc? tw@s

Neil Fox on Nick Grimshaw for Robbie Williams comment
One Direction have raised the game with "Little Things". Take That had organic growth & a very small marketing budget, 2 men's vision. They got more popular until the end. 1D had everything, instantly, Cowell owns the world now.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 18th November 2012
Something New ep is #1 on the albums chart. Olly #2. I'm team GA, I think they're a good mix of Bananarama & the Spice Girls with added rave horns. Love my British Girl Groups. Olly 36 GA 46

The OCC (Official Chart Cu*ts) should buy Matt's website, rebrand it and get it on their servers. AND give him a job! Oppourtunity missed.

UK Million Sellers Book (November)
If you did that I think you'd have to adjust for other things, illegal downloading, home taping, inflation - too many things have changed. And as previously reported the sales data pre-94 isn't 100% accurate, best to just keep it as it is I reckon.

I didn't read the 2nd paragraph of the Robbie blurb. Looking for Robbie album sales figures
We only got 1st week but i've done some lovely percentages. Based on his most recent form of his albums selling 20-25% of their full sales in the 1st week, Bob could expect TTC to sell between 315-412,000 in it's lifetime. Less than Rudebox!!! (which I actually liked, it was his 1st album sing SingWYW that I bought) Total Sale 1st week 1997 Life thru a lens 1,720,000 11,000 0.6% 1998 I've been expecting you 2,090,000 131,836 6.3% 2000 Sing when you're winning 2,261,000 313,585 13.9% 2001 Swing when you're winning 2,188,000 295,024 13.5% 2002 Escapology 2,052,000 264,104 12.9% 2003 Live At Knebworth 600,000 117,863 19.6% 2004 Greatest Hits 2,189,000 320,081 14.6% 2005 Intensive Care 1,612,000 373,832 23.2% 2006 Rudebox 600,000 147,236 24.5% 2009 Reality Killed the Video Star 900,000 238,126 26.5% 2010 In and Out of Consciousness 600,000 121,688 20.3% 2012 Take The Crown 83,508 83,508 100.0%

Looking for Robbie album sales figures
I had these which i must have saved from a MW report over the last year or so. Seems to be a big disparity in his 1st 2 albums. From april this year MW said he'd sold 14,043,554 in the 21st century sale Life thru a lens 1,720,000 I've been expecting you 2,090,000 Sing when you're winning 2,261,000 Swing when you're winning 2,188,000 Escapology 2,052,000 Live At Knebworth 600,000 Greatest Hits 2,189,000 Intensive Care 1,612,000 Rudebox 600,000 Reality Killed the Video Star 900,000 In and Out of Consciousness 600,000 16,812,000

UK's Top 10 Best Selling Male Solo Artists
Kylie was on 10.1m on the 1st June when the OCC gave her all those #1 single "awards". So add about 78 copies for Timebomb & Flower ;-) OK maybe 50K

UK Million Sellers Book (November)
Is "Spice" & "Welcome to the pleasuredome" the only 2 studio albums to have 2 million+ selling singles? If I could find the million sellers thread I'd be able to deduce this myself I'm sure. My god I love buzzjack but I can't search this forum at all, I never find what I'm looking for!

Adele - Skyfall
The song is BANG AVERAGE! I'm disappointed, melodically and lyrically it's quite dull. #1 on iTunes, i saw this morning it was #3 then looked an hour later and it was #1. Can anyone see pop bars anymore? I guess it'll be off the chart by later.

Sales Trivia Question
My god, i was convinced "Just can't get enough" was #1 and researched at it got to #8! I'm shocked! Half shocked cos i never knew that & half cos it's well low!

Adele - Skyfall
#31 on iTunes now ;-) Cheers for the preview Jason. Sounds like it's gonna build & build to an EPIC song :-)

Adele - Skyfall
#48 on pre-order without any consumer having even heard it. I'm not aware of that happening previously. Or did it happen with 1D? I'm MASSIVELY excited for this. I'm not a big Adele fan, i like her & Bond themes in general, but i've been caught up in it and have pre-ordered & will update my iPhone on Friday morning & listen to it on the walk to work. I'm guessing iTunes will never have a faster selling track, everything is hotting up!

"Skyfall" • Official Thread
If she has a massive single pre- new album, ANYTHING is possible. You see it with the likes of Dido (yawn) her breakthrough 2m+ selling album is followed up by another one. (i know Adele's had 2 albums now but 21 was kinda a breakthrough album) Norah Jones/Katie Melua/Anastasia/Joss Stone have all have 2 albums sell 1m+, the 2nd largely off the back of the 1st. And considering Adele is actually GOOD I'd say at least 3m of her next album is virtually nailed on. Of course if she embraces thrash metal as a musical genre then ignore all of the above. But Adele is no Duffy!
