  1. Sorry if this has been well-noted but i just looked at the iTunes Top 200 and there's no Gaga! She must have had nearly 3 years on the chart, usually with multiple songs. ANyone know anything more about this? Cheers
  2. 1, Vogue - Just HAS to be, Madonna at her absolute peak, she's just not consistant these days. 2, Express Yourself - For the ambition, when I needed it. 3, Jump - I bloody LOVE this song but I give Stuart Price credit for it mainly. Could have be sung massively better. 4, Holiday - Pop/Disco classic. 5, Human Nature - Should have been 1st single, a bold message after the Erotica period with perhaps a less "racey" video (even though I love it). 6, Beautiful Stranger - was gutted it didn't get to #1, like Holiday, it's joyous abandonment in a song. 7, Material Girl - It's quite an unusual song, I think, to be a mid-80's smash. 8, Music - Phat beats, the start with her fascination with time (which has gotten old) 9, Impressive Instant - Didn't want to open a can of worms for including album tracks but it's just genius, lyrically & sonically. 10, Causing A Commotion - For the lyrical narrative & comedic, ballsy Blonde Ambition performance, ahhh Blonde Ambition.... Worst single - Take a bow - Like a lot of UK Madonna Fans this didn't strike a cord with me. Can't understand why it was so successful in the U.S.

  5. Well Westlife have probably had the most #1 singles in that period but i doubt anyone whould say they were the most influential lol
  6. 1 Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) 2 Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me 3 DJ Fresh - Louder 4 Ke$ha - We R Who We R 5 Rihanna - S&M 6 Pixie Lott - All About Tonight 7 Kelly Clarkson - Mr Know It All 8 Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song 9 Sak Noel - Loca People 10 LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It
  7. Chill people, Steps will save us  :dancing: :party2:
  8. is this the top 1000 airplay ever??? Can't believe Kylie's Can't get you out of my head is only 380 something!!! It was getting about 2,500 plays a week for a very long time! forgive my ignorance if this is just from 2004 or something
  9. Firstly, the cover is strikingly brilliant. As for the song, I think it's less than the sum of it's parts. This opinion is very much subject to change.

I don't live in the UK anymore so I don't know what exposure these tracks have had but... The Saturday's "All Fired Up" is their BEST EVER single in my opinion & I'll definately be buying it. Pixie's I've played a few times but wouldn't be able to hum it to anyone Leona's is classy & very modern, her voice could click with a lot of people and sales could ensue. The Sugababes are absolutely f00ked!

I remember Calvin Harris saying in an interview that he'd just got his iTunes statement and was completely underwhelmed at the amount considering the amount of units he'd sold having had 2 #1 hit singles. Maybe that's why he did that Coke advert.
  23. Didn't realise all of Oasis' #1 singles were only at the top for 1 week!

Based on the quality of the record itself I'm hoping it breaks oasis' all time fastest album seller record, was that about 750,000? Half a million is maybe more realistic in the current climate.
  25. Cheers Mikey, cracking article.
