As much as I would love this #1 as well, it's a lot harder to get people to mass buy albums compared to 59p singles. I think they'd only snatch it if RCA dropped 1-2k casettes/vinyls or something.

Still #4 on HH so not too bad. NTFT is still organically rising, hope for top 20 next week then top 10 within the month? Nathan also said he planned to get it on TTH but I think he was expecting the streams to be a lot better. No way will they add this unless it blows up a bit. Sweet Melody could have justifiably been added when it was on 700k+ daily streams but even that didn't get a look in.

I don't see this going #1 unless Amazon is absolutely destroying Spotify/AM on streaming. Nice to see it still smashing though.

I think this will perform slightly better every year. Maybe a cute top 40 in 2 years or so? It still needs to be added to Christmas playlists on Spotify. I think it's only in 1 big one.

Woman Like Me performance wasn't good at all imo. This one was, but I still wasn't expecting it to do much chart wise. It'll have more of a passive effect I think, keeping the girls in people's minds. Maybe some people will get the album on their weekly shop etc.

I agree the label has done a pretty decent job for the UK. Other than the bundles mishap (there was a lot of demand in their defense) they've been spot on.

I don't see the whole "BUS will connect more with the audience" argument very well since the Strictly audience is so diverse. Everyone and their mother watches the show and people obviously love SM. They could have just performed that and given it the attention it deserves. Both songs will promote the album. The difference is BUS will probs barely scrape the top 10 on iTunes for a few days whereas SM would benefit more since it's the current single. Even just open with an acapella/acoustic chorus to show off their vocals before they do choreo etc.

Love the stability. Potential to stay top 10 past the new year as well. So what was bigger out of BUS and Holiday? They feel the same to me. But that's more impressive for BUS considering it was released at the worst time with no (proper) video or promotion. Will probably hold up better over the next year too?

When they adding this to Confetti though? The longevity it will give the album will be delicious

Didn't LM only start flopping in Aus when they cancelled a tour? I think they cancelled it to record new music? A really bad career decision since it's taken their second-most successful country away from them. Though SM has been hovering around #100 there on AM and iTunes since release so I think a push could have made it a cute hit and helped them win the country back a bit.
