Was there any doubt :blink: Robbie was really anxious once more and emotional at the end (plus singing a bit louder than everyone else) but it was a very good peformance. I am not sure if it will all go in favour of the album but I don't really care either. Very good song + performance from an even better album :dance:

Good point! I downloaded RTW back then but since I've bought Progress I would never download The Flood a week sooner. The 5 of them are too rich and greedy to waste your money on! :teresa:

It should sell ~400K (will be well over 150K total after this week) It won't have the phenomenal longevity of RTW though that's for sure. But don't even suggest a dire chart run :nono:

I believe rating will be somewhat higher tonight, but we will see... The surge to the market usually benefits other recent releases as well. I can imagine a 30yo mother buying the TT album and also buying the JLS single to her slyish-sweet daughter! :D :lol: :lol: :lol:

There was no promo last week for TT, only airplay + the documantary on saturday. (that made them go up again) Jls sales WILL be frontloaded but that never stopped them before, did it? Jls will actually benefit from TT being at the show tonight and boosting ratings.

I'll be SHOCKED if this happens with 3 superstrong boyband releases on XF tonight :lol:

I've got some info for IAOOC in Greece... It is hillarious that it spent a whole week at the top of the download chart yet ifpi Greece MISSED its first week and it only charted on its second week as a 'new entry'... :o Anyway the chart run is: 29-22-33 The missed 1st week it should be top10 but they f***ed up... :angry: (είναι και πολύ ζώα) http://www.ifpi.gr/chart01.htm

I actually believe TT will rule the charts for a few weeks now and then will be back on top again all xmas holidays long, and again when the 2nd single is out and perhaps once more after the Brits... (I can see them snatching a few) It will have massive sales due to casual fans for a few weeks but it will gain more new fans with time since it is nice progressive sound (I would never expect I would say it for a TT album) and will therefore have longivity on the charts. It may not do the 500K+ I expect if the new sound doesn't go down well with traditional TT fans but I bet they have already preordered the album so they can't get their money back now even if they want to! :lol:

IAOOC at no10! the album is holding up very well against all the new releases. The TT surge is starting to give it a boost probably. :cheer: I feel it won't leave the top10 next week either :w00t:

Taking a look at the poll (and knowing a bit about statistics) it looks as if everyone thinks will get top 3 at least. It WILL face the heaviest competition of the year the coming weeks though and it won't get higher than low top10 this week... so if it is to top the charts it will have to retain its popularity for at least 2 weeks (next week XF performances will grant 3 acts sales beyond BEPs reach). I guess they have a slot at XF the week after that? It will have to be a MEGA hit to stay top5 all that time and then seize the no1.

I would have never thought TT (or even Robbie solo) would get such critics and reviews overall... What's coming next? A 100/100 billboard rating? :huh: :lol:

Is Adelle just falling or TT are increasing with no reason? A lot of movement in this weeks top10 itunes. Only Rihanna has been immobile for some days (soon about to change).

They won't really care with the half a million albums they will sell next week ;) . I am beginning to wonder whether 'The flood' will eventually pick up enough with XF or not. It WILL pick up though no doubt. Having listened to the album I'd say it is the best choice for 1st single (also considering that they all sing a bit). It could be the most mainstream (and instant) song of the lot... Will Bep's overtake Rihanna soon? I think it is inevitable now. I just wish their song was better... it is a let down really. I have to admit it is a rare example of a song that has been pushed forward with no promo (not even a videoclip) and kills the competition on its first week... I doubt anyone had listened to (or of) it 10 days ago... :blink:

I believe TT could do it (40%) or Jls (50%) or the ultimate outsider BEPs(10%) who seem to have a massive single out(? lol) How worse could it get for Westlife? They might end up after Rihanna TT Jls BEPs and like a G6... out of top5!

MY ITUNES HAS TURNED INTO A TAKE THAT TUNES! LOL AT THE SITE ONLY PROMOTING TT! I still believe the album is closer to Robbie than to TT. (although it is not my favourite Rob style it has the marks of RKTVS and Rudebox all over it) Mark's influence is very strong on the whole thing as well. Suggested album title: Rob & Mark in wonderland, Gary's fans at exile/ Mark the Robellution! On the album now: (I've just listened to it once so far) -The Flood: 'nough said -SoS: Strange blend...Robbie sings rock and Mark pop in this one? (a 'tiny' bit of shine?) :lol: Not bad at all. -Wait: Instant (rudebox-like) but a bit boybandish as well. I like this one. -Kidz: That is a bit too alternative but it is attractive nevertheless. Really fresh song :) (chelsea dagger?) -Pretty things: I like the music and Rob's whispering voice (Last days of Disco into twinkle twinkle little star?) LOVE this one!!! (3rd single) -Happy Now: The Actor into Mika this time... the chorus is kind of too light for me. -Underground Machine: A MUCH better version of do you mind. Some interesting lyrics ... This could be a Kasabian song. -What do you want from me: Not my favourite song of the album... a typical Mark song (the main focus here could be the lyrics but I am not moved) -Affirmation:I struggle to understand some of the lyrics obviously not the best singer in TT but the song doesn't help at all. ultimate FILLER -_- -8 letters: Nice one, just a reminder of old TT. This is clearly Gary's work isn't it? I like this song either way. Gary should have another 'love' ballad in this album imo (2nd single). It is experimental but it is fresh. I'd love to see Gary a little bit more involved but I definitely like Robbie being the frontman. Will traditional TT fans like this electro-pop alternative album? Just preordered my copy. I am curious about the singles though: there are no obvious singles. Are there any complains for Rob's bad influence on TT sites already? :o I think they will like the album in the end :music: Or not... who cares :heehee:

Only girl is :puke2: ... I like 1/2 of Rihanna's singles but this is one of the worst. I don't really get the trend. No comparison with the flood.

I think TT will take over sooner or later (sooner is my quess). Rihanna will have to sell over 100K to get this no1 and I doubt she will for a third week in a row. Preorders (if any really) and physicals may be just enough to get TT to no1 by Tuesday.
