  1. Watch this one instead! It includes the interview! GOD it is so annoying when hosts of big TV shows do not speak english... Even with the translation they could barely communicate. Poor Robbie they translated he is gay rather than having fan with the rest 4! :kink: Howard and Jason do never speak!

I don't think JLS can get to no1 at all. If they are well behind TT on their first week I doubt they will ever overtake Progress on the chart, not to mention other surprise-success releases of the next months. Still 150K sales is not bad at all (although this will depend on the longevity of the album as well). I don't think they will care about not getting to no1 if this album gets 2xplatinum. I also doubt Alexandra's deluxe will make it to no1. However her single will do very well... But why does this always have to be JLS vs Alex?

Looks as if it is not going to be as close as we thought at the top3 albums... 1 Take That 66.9k 2 JLS 58.9k 3 Westlife 38.4k With JLS sales hugely frontloaded -as it is their first week- and preorders in selling 60K I think they will finally sell 160K this week. Still TT will appearently sell 250K to end up well ahead. As for westlife, I don't think they could do more than 110K after that... It wouldn't surprise me if they did not even manage 100K though it looks like a bad era for them. It will be an interesting week for the top10 singles . (not no1 obviously)
  4. It is something between do you mind and handsome man imo... And it is lyrically superior to WDYWFM. It is the electro-rockstar thing Robbie would write. I don't like the 'when the boy...' part but I love the rest of it. It is one of my favourites from Progress. The beast-man thing is EPIC (I think I will crop it and use it as a ringtone B) but people in my workplace won't apreciate it that much... so I am having second thoughts    )
  5. I cannot choose, this poll will definitely flop! :drama: :lame:
  6. It is not a no brainer imo... The album has a lot of songs that would qualify as singles, but I guess Kidz is the best choice. It is not much of a christmas tune though... I am not sure it is the best timing if it is to be released late December-January..
  7. On the album chart we have sales: 8 Cheryl Cole 41,346 14 Russell Watson 23,273 Robbie was no11, he was higher but slipped down at the end of the week... I believe he must have sold about 30K this week.
  8. It was closer to xmas then, wasn't it? I believe Progress could sell 400K this week. (it will definitely sell 300K+ IMO and wipe the floor with all competition this week) As long as they are promoting album sales & single sales will be high.

They will do even more ;) (considering the special price too)

It won't last! But after some promo the album could become a hit! It has quality songs in it, it is just that people in EU don't know much of TT (it only sells on the back of Robbie's name now) they need to be (re)introduced to the European public. Also TT are slowly gaining on JLS and Ellie...

What if they have heard it on TV? (embarassing moment) Anyway I think I will manage to trick some Greek friends who have no idea of Amazon.UK. :teresa:
  12. I can see a Robbie& TT themed week coming... ;) Or finalists choose a Robbie and a TT classic

Amazon is a vast company and definitely has a reliable marketing and ecomomics branch! If they chose to do such special sales they are aiming for some long range profit. Amazon won't loose its money, carefully scheduled companies (also during the crisis) don't do risky or stupid investments... As long as charting is concerned Amazon must have bought the album on standard price so that shouldn't change anything in its charting eligibility... I was thinking of buying this album for xms present for some friends but it has now become TOO CHEAP for an xmas present...

    1) Do you believe all 5 are good singers then? I love one voice only in the band... and there is probably another one that is good, the remaining two are just 'the beautiful ones'. 2) Why did they choose to release covers instead of their own songs then? It means that even the 4 of them and their company-management do not believe they are good enough at writing, why should we...(everyone nowadays pretends he is a real artist by co-writing his songs or saying he writes songs. This is pathetic! A great voice is one thing. Being able to write good songs and lyrics is another.) 3) If they wanted no1 they shouldn't have released at this time of the year with TT on the way + Jls (I do not like them but they are really popular) on the same week. Their single wouldn't stand a chance for no1 on any week... it's sales are way lower than any recent no1. 4) Westlife are not a bad boyband imo, still don't put them into the same ring with TT, I doubt you can find anything (considering talent, popularity, sales or creativity) to win this battle...

C'm on guyz go easy on Westlife... Haven't listened to the album but safe is not THAT bad... No need to prove TT have a wider appeal really. Charis do you sincerely believe Robbie has talent at all? And TT are junk? Anyway even if TT sell 1million by next friday it won't reduce Westlife's sales, they are going to sell what they would. (~100K) Progress will sell 600K in one week even BEFORE the special offer. This could be beyond what Westlife will sell during the whole year. Their single (although it is not bad imo) is also not doing well. It will strugle to keep a low top10 place.

1)B.o.B. ft. Bruno Mars - Nothin' On You (Best) 2)Rihanna - Rude Boy 3)Glee Cast - Don't Stop Believin' 4)Plan B - She Said 5)Timbaland ft. Katy Perry - If We Ever Meet Again 6)Scouting For Girls - This Ain't A Love Song 7)Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars - Billionaire 8)Roll Deep - Green Light 9)Eminem - Not Afraid 10)Yolanda Be Cool & DCup - We No Speak Americano A really poor group! :puke2: I can only stand Rihanna and BOB of the whole lot, and I don't really like much any of them too... DON'T vote for Americano I will kill myself!
  17. The flood is flying up! And yes JLS have closed the gap with Ellie they could possibly take over for a few more hours or so... (won't make much difference there is no way Ellie could reach them in total week sales)
  18. Class performance from TT tonight! They really are a live act! Robbie sang much better indeed... (and Howard can actually sing! :o he sounded better live than he sounds at the :puke2: affirmation) Never forget + Flood are already climbing!

Are these reviews only from peple who buy? You know how these things with hype work... A lot of TT or Robbie haters or even Robbie fans that want him solo and TT fans that don't want Robbie back , even people annoyed with the hype would submit such reviews. I think people can add their review just by browsing the album rather than buying it so they find a good chance to be as rude as they can. WHO WOULD BUY an album he rates 1/5 really? They say they usually love TT just to pretend they are objective and not preoccupied, I don't believe them anyway. However a part of TT fanbase could be honestly disapointed (not just hating Rob) since it is true this album is VERY different (and Robbie-influenced).
  20. Never heard of... ( :teresa: ) Ellie is doing much better than I would have expected... :o
  21. I actually like every song on this album if we count out affirmation... It is a VERY GOOD album imo. My favourite studio album of the year! (and just the second one I've bought after Speak Now)
  22. HOW come you never listened to Progress yet? It has Robbie's marks all over it (I would say it is 60% Robbie, 30%Mark, 10%Gary) but it is still an outcome of all 5 (or 3) no matter who has the lead. You will easily understand that after listening to the whole thing. If Robbie released this album I doubt it would sell more than 1/2 it does indeed. Still TT were suffering a decrease in sales BW->Circus which dropped out quite faster. It is not only Robbie's popularity which was not 100% anymore but also TT's. I don't honestly know what makes you sure TT's next album wouldn't sell 1.5- million (following the decrease BW-->Circus) Robbies album sold a million after all so it is not that far below this figure. Both acts needed the reunion to refresh themselves in the UK, still Europe is a different thing. I do not believe could be any comparison of TT vs Robbie in Europe. That said I am almost sure it was Robbie (and management) who insisted releasing worldwide (and promoting) rather that TT wanting to steal Robbie's fanbase. This sound delusional  Also, I think Robbieca meant she liked Robbie (solo) so when she got into things she found out the whole TT story and she didn't like what she saw. (Gary, the songs or whatever) She knows the story now (it is all over the place anyway) but she had no idea back then. Dear snowindecember:  only this.... I am a real gentleman tonight :teresa:
  23. It looks like top ones are performing as well, so I guess it won't change a lot in top10. (it should actually increase JLS, TT and Goulding's lead) Charyl performing the Flood? ....and what? ...then the plumber comes it? (just joking it should be a song of hers I am not aware of) Take That are supposed to sing the Flood and Never Forget. I doubt Cheryl could/would sing that song anyway. B)

It will still do about 600K. I don't remember (m)any people here suggesting it would do 700K anyway. Yet it is sure 600K is closer to 700K than 200K  My predictions (even though they were merely predicions based on previous sales and the hype for both acts) were quite accurate after all. :D If the album does 300K+ on 2nd week and 200K 3rd week I demand the 'Harry Potter' oscar. I still wonder whether sales will slow down somewhat when SOME (excluding Jupiter who is better than 2X15 B) ) ladies over 30 discover it is an album with a different direction or not. I guess it will start to appeal to 'non-fans' by that time...
  25. 1)Take That - The Flood <favourite> 2)Jason DeRulo - In My Head 3)Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) I DON't like anything after this position but since I have to rank them... 4)Taio Cruz ft. Ke$ha - Dirty Picture 5)David Guetta & Chris Willis ft. Fergie & LMFAO - Gettin' Over You 6)Robyn - Dancing On My Own 7)Example - Kickstarts 8)Katy B - Katy On A Mission 9)Kelly Rowland - Commander 10)Sidney Samson - Riverside (Let's Go!)
