iTunes Chart: October 2010
It makes sense this way! Stupid Radio! I am not surprised Radioactive isn't doing great. It has nothing on the 2 huge KOL singles and I didn't expect more that a no(8-15)... The album is doing well on preorders but I somehow feel it will be a dark era for KOL. Also, who the hell is downloading Forget You? F.U is not a very good song but it is catchy and fun... forget you ruins all the fun! (Edit: although none of them is really great, F.U is more catchy and fun but not better than Shame imo)

iTunes Chart: October 2010
This may be a stupid question but will F**k you and Forget you be counted together as one song? I know they are not identical but it would be really weird to count them as two wouldn't it? I am a little confused here... (I've heard this conversation on radio too and they thought they will be 2 different songs but I don't really trust them they were just two random guys)

iTunes Chart: October 2010
By 5 am (GMT) F**K You will be top10 and Forget you with shame top15, Shame's second version about no20! I believe all versions will accelerate... Shame and FU will be top 5 before monday... (and top 10 on sales chart by tuesday) This is just an estimation but not a really brilliant one, everyone would've expected something like this!

Heart & I - full song
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatNext single? Thank god! And yes I also believe cross-promotion (and sales) of Rob's album & single together with TT's will benefit both acts. It is going to be 50 really busy days for both! (and interesting for us to watch)

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatWhy so sure about F.U. ? It really doesn't ring any bells to me it is just funny...The fact that F.U was no1 on airplay and Shame no2 last week is the reason a lot of people are suggesting this, isn't it? But this is a really controversial argument since Shame got and will get more support from Radio + TV! Anyway Shame has preorders on its side and will probably sell about 100K which is not easy to battle for an unknown act with little promotion.

Heart & I - full song
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI like this one :) :cheer: . But it will go unnoticed if it is not a single (given Robbie will be in TT that is not really possible) in an album of dozens of songs. It is a bit U2-ish, isn't it? And it is not a song or melody I would expect Gary to write, but that may mean the fab5 will have some surprize songs in the album. (which would be a great start) @ Kath: it looks as if Rob has caught your eye at last! You even search and listen to his album songs (and like them).. :P :naughty:

Battle of the Boy Bands!
Susan will not even sell half of what she did last year. There is no interest in her anymore and she has no musical talent, we all know it was just the power of hype and reality TV. Another xmas album after only a year of a successful one is a stupid decision anyway. I am almost sure this abomination will be her last. She will still have healthy sales, I don't expect her to flop but there is no way she could ever beat TT. I say the reinforced TT would even beat her 'Dreamed a Dream' first week easily. I would love to see her totally flop but this is only wishful thinking. EDIT: I just noticed the Gift is out a week before TT and JLS. Hopefully she will be knocked down from no1 :puke2: and will never return higher than no3. There will be a lot of heavy releases to occupy no2 the following weeks (or no1 if they can actually knock down TT)

YTD T50 Singles (with estimated sales)
I was wondering what are the sales of Dog Days are Over? It is a really good song such a shame none seems to notice. :( Is there any chance for it to enter the ytd top 50?

Battle of the Boy Bands!
Progress eh? STUPID title  If it is good enough I may consider buying. I loved 'Beautiful World' but hated the 'Circus'. I think I will do a hack-search all around to see what I can find about it but it is propably too soon. I quess we won't hear anything about 'Progress' or 'the flood' until all promo for 'Shame' is over. Then all 5 will spread to flood TV and radio.

Joe McElderry - Ambitions
I don't understand why people keep suggesting Joe is (or could be) a popstar... His voice sounds weird when he tries to sing pop, like child-opera! His intonation too. He CAN sing yes, but pop? Also note this song is not a live recording, it is really adjusted up and down (up mostly). And hell NO he doesn't look 19 (in the video at least). Would you ever act like that when you were 19? He's got a pretty face (athough the last smile in the video really kills it- you would never say 'wow handsome' but 'how cute' instead) but the whole dancing, smiling and moving in the video looks 'elementary school' - Especially the 'parade' part. I feel Joe would have perfectly fitted into disney if he was 6 years younger. Now he is too old for this but still the video and his whole setup (so far) has been so disney-ish. I am curious to see in what musical direction will his management choose to push him. As far as the song quality is concerned I'll simply pass. It is not BAD but it is not good either. Olly's song was better all around (in my opinion) and so was his performance- video dispite the fact Joe can sing much better. When I first saw this video with the dance moves and Joe's exploding smile and happiness I could only think of.... Mary Popins!

Battle of the Boy Bands!
No this is wrong. I insist he would have outsold them on the first week because he a huge star with hugely frontloaded sales and a lot of preorders. They would have overtaken next week but this is not the question here. A lot has been said on this so let me put this on a different perspective: My argument on this is common sence. Let's just make a few calculations: Some JLS fans were eager to buy on the first week more than one copy to 'win the chart battle' everybody here knows that. So lets suppose that 1/10 of them bought 3 coppies instead of one (this is a conservative estimation because we all have seen girls with 5 covers alltogether) and the rest 9/10 bought only one copy. This would grant them +20% first week sales!!! Do you see what I mean now? We know the difference was like 1% of sales! This difference could have been even covered by 1% (1/100) of the JLS fanbase buying a second copy! Isn't it clear?

Chart Battles
Leona vs Alexandra SuBo vs Mariah (xmas versions) Whitney vs Mariah (not likely to happen Whitney does not look into shape) Joe vs Olly (impossible) Alexandra vs Jls (impossible) Neyo vs JasonDerulo Taylor Swift vs Miley Cyrus ( taylor :cheer: ) Duffy vs Winehouse Guetta vs Timbo Spears vs Gaga vs Perry vs Rihanna --> OMG the BJ server is SO down Joe vs Miley vs Gummy Bear (and the gummy bear wins) Kesha vs Gaga

Duffy - Well Well Well
Interesting but not good enough... I have expected more to be honest. Is it the final version? The single will probably chart in low top10. I am not sure about the album though. It could sell well but slowly.. perhaps other big releases will outpeak it 2010.

Battle of the Boy Bands!
:o :o :o 1) People in here BELIEVE JLS's 2nd album will outsell the one they did right after XF? (+ the fact that it also had multiple covers anyway) .How often does this really happen?. 2) And how could the most hyped album of the year sell less than what Robbie or TT did in the near past? Even if we consider some of the fanbase feels insulted they will have two huge hits (Shame & The Flood) + all TV Radio and Xmas support available in the UK. 3)Take this into account too: JLS outsold Robbie's first week by a negligible percentage which was ONLY because of the multiple cover story. (when Robbie's XF appearance was considered semi-fail and Bodies was not warmly accepted all around UK) So... if JLS had to beat TT they should probably sell 280K and TT 250K? IMO the case will be more like JLS 150-200K and TT 300-?00 K. And that's the 1st week only, I suppose TT will sell more than a million in 2010 only. I don't really understand why anything different than that could be expected so somebody with a different view please explain to me too! Anyway smart move from JLS management. I believe they knew (it turned out different though) they would lose to Robbie last year but they were sure the chart battle would activate fans to buy more that's what they are doing this time too. They do not stand a chance here but still xtra sales are welcome.

Joe McElderry - Ambitions
1) The video is even worse than the song! 2) Terrible dancing really! Why was he instructed to do all these moves? It looks more like a parody of a video   3) How old is he? Most guys at his age want to look older but he looks like 12y.o.! A cool outfit cannot save him! It was like a school amateur musical (or parade LOL) of lightheaded 12 y.o. kids... 4)I have nothing against Joe but Olly's song (I am not a fan either) was 100 times better.

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatI don't get it... Are all these songs new? I thought it would just be Heart&I + Shame... THATS GOOD NEWS

Cheryl Cole - Promise This
I expect it will be an easy no1 if it is not against something really huge. (Winehouse 1st single? TT first single? Duffy? etc). I do not like the song but I don't like Cheryl too. This is Nelly Furtado-like... FFTL was better (still not good enough) but it is a good era for her I expect this to do well. Sadly, I'll vote for no1.

Predict : Taylor Swift - Mine
+1 for me! Hope it goes all the way to the top. (although I know it won't) Taylor Sweet isn't she?

Joe McElderry - Ambitions
 Mika? Anyway I do not like the song at all (so electronically modified that sucks even worse) but I wouldn't expect anything less than no1 (only if shame becomes really huge but I really doubt that). The KOL song is better but not much likely to make a big impact it has nothing on their 2 heavy hits and it is not catchy at all. How the hell could Joe's management choose this song as a first single anyway? Isn't it a a cover of DonkeyBoy's version? They cannot afford to write songs for the winners and they get to no1 either way so they have decided to do only clones and covers

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatGod, Rob's voice was terribly rough. And I just realised Shame is very tough to sing live, both struggled to follow the tune! Robbie doesn't seem tired or out of breath but he seems out of... voice! I wish he could take care of his throat from time to time. Shame has grown on me but not enough to believe it is a really good song. And yes I too believe their voices blend well but the duet was not suitable for the occasion (a stupid occasion imo anyway <_< ). People will start to get tired of it now with all the radio and fuzz. I guess it will have one or two weeks of impressive sales and will then drop like a stone. For some reasons chart-people have started to believe it won't get to no1.(wishful thinking I'd say but mirrors the fact it has started to get dull) 30 sec of 'Heart and I' were enough to convince me it is better than 'shame' :o (such a shame what a shame pitiful shame real shame) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcewhDDhrG8 Edit: Is it just me or Rob's 'entertaining' still makes Gary feel awkward after all these years... he just stands there and smiles in a shy way, totally speechless...

3 death weeks
Shame is definitelyy the no1 in 4th Oct. releases. The following week could be the most interesting week though. Shame's 2nd week, Joe's 1st week (he will be no1 90%), Pixie with XF, KOL , Bubble are all strong contenders. But the rest from the list could all be top 20 as well. It will be a 'refreshing' week for sure a lot of new entries!

next weeks number one album
I think it will be no1 LP no2 Script. I believe Linking Park still have a huge fanbase even if they are not fresh anymore. Although I have not heard much from their album yet it is always nice to have sth more alternative topping the charts. I expect Linkin Park will sell faster than the script ,however if the script have a better album and better singles (? I doubt it) they may outsell LP in the long run. What to say about hybrid theory then? :D (propably a million times better quality anyway!) History-wise there is no comparison, but it is all about their current status.

iTunes Chart: August 2010 (III)
This is a thought but I am not sure this is anything more than it... Do we have any kind of proof no1s fall down faster after being knocked down because of it? After all they were knocked down which means they have already started falling (faster than they were when they were leading obviously). And again there are so many factors speeding songs up and down I do not believe pop bars are detailed or flexible enough to show any kind of such weak effects so that we can even test this theory even if we could (and we can't) isolate the very effect (if any). Or your suggestion follows the rule: every little piece of extra advertisement contributes to few extra sales? (?)

Greece - Airplay + Digital Charts
It is released in the UK next week right? (not much likely to make an impact anyway, never heard it on UK radio)
