  1. WOOAH at the Peas. I wouldn't expect they would climb that fast. There has been no promo at all... It looks like another hit for them.

Her darker / hip-hop / 'native' side is what makes her stand out from the numberous pop stars imo. Only girl could have been a song of Britney/ Kylie/ Beyonce Aguilera or even Alexandra Burke etc. I guess her light side is more mainstream... despite being much less original.
  3. What a review.... If he is right I will definitely buy the album :music: I haven't seen such a review for a long time

It is a different occasion with TT&Rob. Both hugely album artists, all the hype, all promo at the week when the album is out, big preorders... I expected the flood would be no1 but TT singles don't sell 100K+ . Remember the Garden or Rule the world... (even bodies and shame) Rihanna's album is the ordinary album of a big WW superstar. It could sell better or worse regarding to quality + consistently but don't expect mavrelous weeks. Speaking for myself for example: I like Robbie but didn't buy Shame not only because it was kind of poor. The main reason was the album was out next week so I wouldn't even consider buying it regaredless the quality. Having said that, I do not believe a big portion of the TT fanbase (which is not eenage anymore) cares about chart battles enough to buy what they don't need.
  5. Only girl is :puke2: ... I like 1/2 of Rihanna's singles but this is one of the worst. I don't really get the trend. No comparison with the flood.

I didn't expect Rihanna would sell that much on her third week! TT could do 87K and Rihanna 100K... but I wouldn't write TT off yet. TT singles and Rob's singles never did more than 100K in a week anyway if I remember well... but there is always XF next week. (if they don't get it this week) LOL at people suggesting the song is not popular because of Rob. With most of the album built on Robbie this would mean the album will ''underperform'' as well. THIS is the critical question: did TT fans bother buying the single when the album is out next week? wouldn't it be a waste of money anyway? Same thing could happen next week: People could buy the already available album instead. Promo is stupid imo...(or they just care about the album) I am actually shocked at how well Rihanna's song is doing. Album sales must have picked up... I see a lot of new entries. (KOL falling pretty fast though)
  7. I think TT will take over sooner or later (sooner is my quess). Rihanna will have to sell over 100K to get this no1 and I doubt she will for a third week in a row. Preorders (if any really) and physicals may be just enough to get TT to no1 by Tuesday.

 Shall all the cold water pour on your head then! I loved umbrella :( We definitelly have a different taste in music. ;)

C'mon even if it is her biggest hit since GGGB it is her worst single of the last 2 album eras... I don't really get all that jazz hype around it RB and RR even TeAmo were way better. AND TT are climbing fast indeed. With Rihanna selling well over 100K TT catching up immediately would mean they would sell 200K+. Anyway TT will be WELL ahead of Rihanna on midweeks. (+no1 soon on itunes)
  10. It is a huge club hit but it is a poor song. It has nothing on IGAF; it is more BBP style but it is not that distinctive. When it starts you feel like it will be a huge hit but later on it gets boring it is just the shame ding dong sounds here and there. It is a grower but it is not much of a song really. As I always say it is their first single so I expect it to be big. It will depend on the competition... I believe it will go top5 but I am not sure whether it will make it to the top or not.

With the album out next week, considering TT are an album act, this is what I would expect too. But TT's promo is also lined up next week. AND their promo is bigger than that of JLS both may have XF and CIN etc but TT will also have no1 airplay + the documentary... It could really go either way. A such reunion is not something that happens a lot of times so we don't have much evidence to measure with. Now TT at no2...

A quick climb for TT. And with NO XF performance... It looks as if they are heading for well over 150K. Also no1 airplay... for me there is now a big possibility that the Flood holds no1 for a second week with the XF performance. (if huge album sales don't devour their single sales)
  13. Ok then. If Robbie could sell 3 Millions outside the UK with Rudebox I believe he *can* definitely do it again with his albums; RKTVS at some point in the future or a future release. Even IAOOC could sell a lot during the coming years. GH vol1 has always been a strong catalogue seller and now vol2 will take its place (since it is a better and more complete collection anyway). Will 'the flood' be available to download WW next week? If so we could get a clue of how other markets will react to it and the whole TT thing... It is a catchy tune I believe it could do well on a WW scale with proper promotion and support.
  14. You mean 3M including the 1M in the UK or without it? I believe 4million estimated copies is a bit too much with only 1million in the UK....
  15. Promo is strong in Germany so it will do very well there. I believe it will have some impact in further big European markets such as France and Italy (there is a concert in San Siro as well). It could sell 300K in Germany and another 300 in the rest of Europe (-UK) but boybands are way out of fashion in Europe so there is always a chance to completely flop... The tour will be critical. There is NO hype outside the UK (+Germany?) for the reunion and TT have been an irrelevant act for so long, it will definitely be a huge leap (and achievement). If it works TT fans may like Robbie a bit more in the end. If the album sells a million outside the UK the album I will consider it a success. If it does less than 500K it will be a flop. I think it will do around 600K in the UK first week. I am sure it WON'T be a success for Robbie in a worldwide scale! But it will definitely be in the UK. RKTVS must have sold 1.5+million outside the UK by now right?
  16. Good one! from me! Nice video as well and I like the adjustments on the backing vocals "the silence the silence".
  17. What do you mean by "she has blown Leona Lewis out" really? And how would a blow ( :teresa:/ :whip: ) make her deserve a well charted position anyway? :banghead: Consider this: Start without you was terrible and got to no1x2 so the silence (which is very good) should flop to balance things up :P :heehee: :winner:
  18. This era of TT has Robbie's marks all over it... :o It looks as if the whole album is going to be Robbie-oriented with Mark (probably the one matching best with Rob) stepping up as well. I feel TT fans won't like that change... they already complained there was too much Robbie on 'the Flood' where he shared vocals with Gary  . (the lyrics are Robbie's thing on that song I have to admit that). If the reunion underperforms all blame will be on Robbie now, and that would kind of fair. -_- The tracklisting sounds interesting but I cannot really say anything until I listen to the songs.

 at all these changes of the release dates! I believe JLS will beat Westlife in the albums but it will be close. No point in discussing the singles. If somebody could battle "Heroes" it is TT(?) .They are normally not the greatest singles sellers but they have a very strong single + the reunion thing going on. It depends on how much the charity single will sell on first and second week... If it sells a tremendous amount of copies 'The Flood' will fall short (only to overtake in the total sales a few weeks later). Keep in mind we are on a strong downloads era and TT have XF as well... there is a chance people will buy the single in masses if the performance meets expectations.

I agree about the sales. Country music has always been mainly a US thing. But she is not an awful artist... At least she IS an artist than writes her lyrics and music on her own. She undoubtedly is talented. ;) I personally  her altough I've never been a fan of country music. To me she is America's real fresh talent. (or fairytale-princess judging by her dicography  ) She definitetly managed to give country music a wider appeal standing out of a crowd of super-popular US manufactured junk. (let's not mention them once more).
  21. I had expected more concerts in the UK + Ireland but a LONG tour would only tire them up. (perhaps even split them appart earlier) A wise combination of stadiums in Europe. TT HAD to announce some international concerts to show they want to become international. (this will guarantee them a little more push for the album in the chosen countries) TT have never been big outside the UK so it is wise not to announce too many concerts. If the album does well they will probably add some dates here and there. These stadiums would be packed by only mentioning Robbie's name so I guess it is a safe start. The truth is nobody really knows if Europe will eventually buy the new TT...
  22. WOW! Cheryl is heading for over 150K... :drama:
  23. There is nobody as powerful as this girl in the US market imo
  24. At last a good song from her... I'll wait for the new version before I say anything more but I somehow feel they won't change it a lot.
  25. I believe Cheryl is actually gaining A LOT. If you ignore Rihanna you will see how the rest of the pop bars are squeezed! Rihanna is increasing too because it is a 'new' release but still Cheryl is gaining even on her. +Bruno sold over 100k last week and his song is still very popular (at least 65% of what it was last week). The fact that Cheryl took over so quickly and now has DOUBLE pop bar may only mean she will easily do over 120 this week if she goes on like this!
