It is funny how TT fans who dislike Rob and Rob's fans who hated the old TT boyband have formed a 'bashing' (and not only) alliance! I wouldn't expect that but I totally enjoy it. I quess if the reunion is for just a year we will all accept TT (and Rob in a shorter scale) 'needed' money. Then Robbie's fans will undoubtedly welcome him back to his solo thing given he is smart enough to know how to explain why this was the plan of 2010-11. TT fans have already been sensing they are about to quit music industry, but some may(?) still not forgive them. What I would also like to underline is that it looks like an R&G thing all over. The remaining 3 are for the time being in the shadows at writing, singing, promo and all other aspects.

Then this is it? This sounds completely understandable to me. A golden last chapter in TT's book. (in numbers of money,glory and hype the quality remains yet to be proven). Then Robbie back to his solo thing. I wouldn't mind that. And I guess TT fans won't mind... if TT were about to retire anyway this looks like a glorious way to me (prosperous as well). Back in time I may have reacted someway else, but from the available alternatives, I happily choose this.

I also believe Beautiful World was much better. You cannot stand anything Robbie has done? (the rest I just quote and don't repeat)... I didn't know you liked him that much :lol: :banghead: My previous post states all I have to say for the reuninon at this time. As a TT fan it is only understandable (and respectable o'course) you prefer Gary and his way and there is nothing wrong with it, music has to do with taste art and personality. Don't expect to find too much compassion on that one since this is Rob's forum. Oh and I agree on everything Cleo said

In case it wasn't clear, I believe (and know since they did it in the near past) TT could sell out stadiums in the UK and Ireland on their own. I was talking about a worldwide tour. Last TT album outsold Robbie's thats a fact but music industry is rapidly changing so none of us could be sure their next album would do that too. TT are not at all bigger in the UK than Robbie if you see the story of the last decade (concerts records awards singles albums press or whatever). Currently they are same size in the UK though I would say. There is however a wide-spread feeling (you agree on that too?) that TT and their music are getting old.. yet not big enough to be the Beatles. And although Robbie is fresh and creative I am not sure his wind will be enough for all 5's wings. If it magically works out and we see a new great TT I will take a lot back and will be happy to buy the albums and watch the concerts. Untill I see the results I am just officialy 'undecided'. [there is still the possibility of the 5 of them milking millions in a year then the 4 go back to the quartet or just for tea and Rob goes back to his solo thing]

A sad day for music indeed... I don't believe the reuinited TT are going to be bad, and the concerts will be fine... but still Robbie was more than ''just fine'' alone. I am still curious to see how this works out because musically we all know there is NO room for Robbie in TT. Even worse, we will see in the near future people and magazines that have been bashing on Robbie's 'monkey' work now cheerleeding the fab5 reunion and their 'masterpiece' matterial. If Robbie is doing the clown dancing and the backup vocals to Gary's lord-like singing... SPARE US THE DETAILS :puke2: It will be still interesting to see what this will turn out to be... to be fair I do believe that lyrically and overall the new TT will be more on Robbie's style following the current. Anyway :lame: Oh and on the tour: it will be no surprise if it is MASSIVE. Management have been begging Robbie to do a worldwide tour, and there is too much anticipation for it everywhere. The stadiums will be soldout because of Robbie. It may be hugely dissapointing for the fans (the majority don't care about TT) if Robbie ignores his solo material but the concerts will be already sold out... boo000oing will still be available though! The management knows that too so I guess (I can only quess) on a worldwide scale it will be Robbie and (his band) TT

My best guess would be that JLS are falling so fast that the rest of the bars seen still... I don't know why but I have an explanation. JLS fanbase is really young and well connected to the internet. There must have been a lot of notifications about the release or even campaigns (?) to get the song to the top, so they were all eager to buy it right away. I don't think this song could get the boys any new fans anyway. It could be one of the fastest drops... So people with chart notebooks sharpen your pencils :teresa: :kink: :whistle: (I am s000000 sad)

Honestly I think it is going to be great tour! Still musically Rob does NOT belong with TT anymore (if he ever did) and I wonder what ''Robbie will join them on stage'' could mean. I feel (and hope) it is just a (one-off) collaboration following the Gary-Robbie duet and some gigs to milk all possible from the fab5's 'amazing' current status, not a full reunion. Robbie back for good in TT? I wonder who the hell wants to see that... (just imagine the choir version of Come Undone! :puke2: ) With shame scheduled the speculation and talk about reunion is going to take over the media! So much buzzzzzz (as if South Africa was not enough) Keep your windows shut, the storm is coming <_<

Oh, my mistake then... (I was not ironic, just curious btw) On the 1st-2nd album gap: It is more visible at hugely successfull debut albums (rihanna leona etc) The truth is that Overcome didn't sell millions anyway, so a second album selling 400k-ish (still 35+% down) could be considered a success. It always has to do with your expectations and standards. (the silence is a better song anyway but xf fans will once again have new puppets to play...)

Isn't it too soon for a new promo single for the next album ? She should have waited a bit more imo before releasing a new single. There is not much antinticipation for it now. Could it be that her label are not too much into her anyway? Strong promo singles are usually released in autum... --> I don't like the song but I didn't like her previous ones either, so this shouldn't be unsettling for Alex fans. Still we all now what happens to 'freshmen' (especially xf winners) in the second album era, so the charting/sales shouldn't shock anyone anymore. I'll vote for top5

I think that he completely changed the lyrics and he changed some of the baseline too compared to what I had seen in a UTube video... Especially this part in the chorus: ''is to-look-good-naked-hope-that-someone-can-take it , god save me rejection from my reflection I want perfection '' Has a strange cut in the melody and the tempo... the syllables are more than what would symetrically fit in there too... It sounded strange at first but I think I really liked it after a few more repeats! This 'out of tempo singing' was really unique and creative I think. I don't see anything wrong 'lyrically' (-->the meaning) with Bodies, I feel it is obscure and is open to various interpretation but that's typical with Robbie's songs and an element I really like! Do you believe that's sb elses lyrics? Sounds like typicaly Robbie to me! (bears a little resemblence to come undone in the meaning too)

Really really badly!!! I don't think there could be any kind of comparison anyway :) I do not like Jls and perhaps I am not the best one to speak for their songs, still I feel: OS>EIN>BA>>>>>CiA . It is by far the worst one... from every point of view. If their fanbase is still eager to buy it may hit top10. (I hope even fans can see which song of their favorite artists is better than the other and buy the best one, so that they at least know which is the right direction and what they should produce in the future) I also believe I kissed a girl was far better and catchy than California... There is too much fuss about it (+it is selling really well) and I don't see why. :huh: And to those who believe football songs will fall... it seems more likely that England will qualify in a 'thriller' way so I expect sales will increase instead! (I love the team, hate the songs though! :puke2: )

I have to agree with most comments. (especialy with the lOOng one) When I said Rob could be the best lyricist around, I meant that he is one of the few best. The truth is that it is difficult to compare a musically active 36 year old lyricist with musically passive legend oldies. These guys still live but their brilliant work (the songs you are comparing with Rob's) belong to the past and they are well beyond the time when they would write them. In other words I say he could be the best of his generation. Really good lyricists are easy to notice if you try to detect quallity features in their work. However when it comes to choosing who is THE best it becomes subjective. Personally I love songs with political meanings but I feel an esoteric song, which ventures into a personality and a way of living, deeper into the soul or the imagination and is open ended thus having various levels of interpretation is more artistic. However some people may find it easier to connect with more staightforward and 'sharp' lyrics and meanings (feel for example). There are some subjects such as love, hope, friendship ,hatred ,death ,joy, anger that ring a bell to everone's heart and mind but each person has his own personality and experience in life and therefore likes a different subject in lyrics. As a person I am artistic, a little controversial and A LOT self-exploring myself so I do have additional reasons to like his lyrics. Anyway a lot (most) of people don't bother going deep to the lyrics and just want something entertaining (I myself like that kind of music too) but it is still annoying that Bodies for example was recieved as a craizy song with poor lyrics and no meaning at all and at the same time so many trash songs were considered elegant. Somebody should tell those blonde reviewers: "if you don't get the meaning of a song it doesn't neccessary mean there isn't any"! I also agree with ziggy about RKTVS. He talks a lot about himself. You didn't mention bodies and last days of disco though.

I've written lyrics before but I'd rather not guess this time... Shame could be brilliant or terrible... and NOBODY can predict Rob's lyrics, we know that for sure. If he wrote this song 10 years ago for Gary it would definitely go like: SHAME SHAME SHAME LAME LAME LAME YOU ARE STILL THE SAME YOU ARE ALL SO LAME (where is the chorus? no chorus? d***head) :P :wacko: :P :wacko: :P Well I don't fancy Gary's lyrics but in my book Rob could be the best lyricist of our times (although sadly enough nobody seems to notice) IaOoC is no13 at the preorder chart bt the way. (However I know it takes 5-6 preordered copies to chart as high at this season :unsure: )

I can see what you mean about madonna (it was also done on purpose to fire all this conversation Madonna-Gaga) but this is unique. It is a REALLY well thought video and has some intense messages (passifism, gender roles, church power... also sadism, masochism,violence) and all in the most modern (although not deep) way! +It is a superproduction! I don't like the song but I have to admit the video is one of the best in the video clip history(some parts of it are better than others as always). She has already sold a lot of albums but it is not a highly competitive era so another top3, I will vote for no1 Alexandro :no1:

Electronic music is welcome but with Gary on board... it will be a ballad, an emotional one talking about friendship perhaps. :rofl: It looks as if they believe A LOT in it though. The whole label thing is confusing, perhaps they'll go for the american market as well. I don't share the excitement however, not until I listen to the song at least. A double disc set is expensive and difficult to promote and sell on the back of 1 or 2 new songs. And new markets won't fall in love all of a sudden with Rob's old stuff! Isn't it too soon to announce an October release though? This also puts an end to the speculation of a 4th single from RKTVS doesn't it?

Haven't they said (repetedly) there is going to be a new TT album next year (or Xmas period) ?
