  1. He shouldn't take this too hard, this is the way forums work. Tons of people saying things they would never say face to face (because they simply do not mean to!). Forums are a DIFFERENT way of expressing yourself and communicating with others and should only be treated as such imo. Do never consider conversations made in forums with face to face criteria. It is like joining the rugby team and complaining about the pushing-around. Forums (especailly fan-of-A-artist oriented ones are a 'man's sport' , there is a lot of violence involved in the conversation, but just because this is how this works/ why this damned thing was made / how it is more fun. There are no real hatred or bad feelings involved imo, should be taken more lightly. I doubt any fans would like to hurt his feelings. And I seriously doubt even 'haters' would really bother hurting his feelings. It is like making a noxious comment for a soap-oprera character you dislike with your friends, it has nothing to do with the person himself, and you naturally wouldn't want to insult him if you ever had a real life conversation with him. Some artists should be more forum-educated imo.
  2. It is fun to read those surveys, but sad when you realise that ridiculously lot of people believe in these demographic results. But then again people also believe in star signs in 2013 so what the hell... Define measure  :teresa:
  3. I can picture that! It would make a great movie nevertheless, Adele and Robbie ghost haunting! PRICELESS
  4. Well I should be heading back to Greece for a few weeks at the end of March/ start of April. It is already warm like 18C there and sunny every second or third day. Normally, it is always sunny after March  (the water will still be too cold for me though)
  5. Photoshop? He looks SLIM! Plus, turns out she is a very beautiful woman after all (not only judging by this pic), I underestimated her! Damn it, I wish it was summer already! Or at least spring, I cannot satnd the winter!
  6. So do I ;) A greek friend studying in Southampton mentioned she bought it  (it is her fisrt Robbie purchace mind you)
  7. Glassheart is enjoying a bit of success in some EU countries so I quess Leona must be on board visiting these countries and promoting. I cannot see why her album and singles would climb there otherwise. This may mean that they are putting a little more effort for the 'Glassheart' era but clearly no promises there.
  8. The album is even beyond the help of archangels now. Glassheart as a single could become a hit with proper support but it wouldn't help the album. I think they dropped all scheduled promo (if any after China B-) ) for the album. I wouldn't be surprised (but I would be happy) if Leona has a new label by the summer of 2013.
  9. I loved Sande's debut album. It was definitely a highlight of 2012... (and yes indeed it was Emeli)
  10. Should close the year with half a million sales... hopefully will stay in the top 20 for much longer than RKTVS so that it can match at least a million units sold.
  11. TTC should sell well in the last two weeks of 2012. RKTVS had a huge drop and never fully recovered after that (with the exception of the week after the 'special contribution to music' award). If TTC manages to stay in the charts longer (more possible) it could match RKTVS's million. As far as chart success is concerned TTC and RKTVS have a similar chart run till now. Perhaps Different will for some reason peak in 2013 rather than next week...
  12. And by the way following the most random chart run (9-12-9) TTC is the no1 album in Greece (week 25/11-01/12). http://www.cyta.gr/el/IFPI every no1 counts
  13. I doubt Rihanna will ever read or listen to this comment. Grim is really witch-hunting. Perhaps making all these negative comments about the most popular artists is how he plans to get attention on his show for now, and it is working. This battle of musical quality is far from over, I bet he will be bashed back by sb else sooner or later
  14. I wish he had florence and the machine  (they cannot be a supporting act anymore) Jake bug would be much better than Olly too. Or Emeli Sande
  15. I would normaly pick Wembley but I am not that sure I will be on holidays already on June... It may be difficult to get tickets for Wembley either way... If so I will go for Milan. Already been at one of his shows there and it was amazing. Great, great audience :) I would rather see sb else with Robbie rather than Olly but I doubt they would be a supporting act. I am not a fan but Olly is ok-ish.
  16. It was realy good! I watched it on tv (no time or money for getting tichets for the live show at the time) and Robbie was at his best really. Very good vocaly and exceptionally entertaining. Plus despite being a bit chubby he looks the happiest , heathiest and youngest (!) he's been for ages. I am definitely getting tickets for the summer tour! How difficult was it to get tickets really?
  17. I think he will end up higher than no10 this week (no7 or so) and possibly stay around there for the next week as well. I have a feeling that most of this weeks top 10 will be hugely froantloaded (for example 1D are currently droping from 150k to 50k!) and will make way for new entries next week. But then it is time for the Xmas albums as well... Regardless how bad the rest will do Robbie's sales need to pick up during the next weeks with different and the live shows. Candy is still very high in both tv- and airplay which may delay any impact 'Different' would have for the sales of TTC. Candy is actually about to get another top10 week and should easily become the best seller of Robbie's recent career. It has already sold more than 300k... a bit funny isn't it? Candy may sell a 450k+ total during the TTC era. Bodies wasn't a no1, Shame wasn't a no1, even The Flood wasn't a no1... and Candy got two weeks at the top  Strange world...
  18. This album does not follow the patterns of the recent Robbie-albums for the time being, so I wouldn't call it a flop yet. It may sell slow for now but there is a lot more coming from it... I imagine Candy appealed only outside his fanbase, that's why people bought the single instead of the album = huge single sales + bad album sales. Different may ballance the scales there, it should start getting heavy airplay by next week.
  19. At last a good video from Robbie. It has been a long long time... :magic:
  20. Robbie is 39 and not "Madonna's age" to start with. Grim HAS a problem with Robbie, or at least pretends to it is obvious, how can you fail to see it? "I have never listened to any of his songs but I like him"; it is Grims words. I believe Robbie DOES appeal to younger listeners, at least the people I know are in their twenties and a lot of the like his songs (as do Coldplay, definitely not 1D). It is ridiculous to assume the audience pick songs because of the artists' age, but even if you do Robbie is not even 40 yet  . As for 1D being the next TT, it is not happening in terms of UK success, not even if they last for 10 or 12 albums everybody can see why. Considering even TT broke appart at some point I do no see how 1D could continue that long. It is a 2nd rare thing in a row that Robbie and then TT (as 4) came back with great success which makes the whole scenario even more unlikely for 1D. In terms of music, TT and Robbie have managed to do some teenage pop and then switch to a different style, I cannot see how 1D could do that leap considering they are mostly puppets... As far as the US success is concerned, Cyrus has done WAY more than them but she will be forgotten (if she isn't already) quite fast. Disney-ish acts trageting 12 year olds come and go very fast. I do not really see 1D's amazing start honestly: JLS must have outsold them (in the UK) in terms of everything and they are experiencing the XF aftershock (as does Leona). 1D's fist album was nowhere near a huge success if you compare it with Olly, JLS, Leona, Alexandra's first albums etc.
  21. B-) You realise that it should take 4 1D albums to sell as much as TT's last one though? In my opinion One Direction could either last until album no3 or continue for a few more years with little success (this could easily break them appart which brings us back to the 1st scenario). Appart from their musical (inexistent imo) talent it may be difficult to keep these boys together as well. Plus they will be too grown up for 12 year olds just like Justin Bieber will be. Could they switch repertoire at that point? I think nobody will care either way... Madonna gets some random hits every now and then and she is a lot older (and more irrelevant to the UK audience) than Robbie. Even if his sales shrink after 10 years or so he will still have at least as much success. Legends do not die away. Even if they physicaly do their songs rechart
  22. Robbie becoming a deatheater? :teresa: (c. Harry Potter)
  23. Any information on Robbies album outside the UK and Ireland? Looks like he entered at no9 in Greece last week ( <_< ) Greek charts have always been a joke though.
  24. On the other hand they will be much more frontloaded than Bruno. It will definitely be close between the 2, both selling 50k+ more than no3, which could be Labrinth feat Emeli. B-)
