Robbie Williams - Candy
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatBy the way the single artwork is a big fail. I can see us getting a lot of Robbie Goblet-Heads for each release of this area. It it a clever and creative concept but the very result of this single is 'hey ho Robbie is ill don't get too close Spongebob'.

"Trouble" (featuring Childish Gambino) • First Single
Stunning live video, convertred to mp3 at once! "Im a whole lot of trouble, we're in a whole lot of trouble" is not the most creative line in music history but the rest of the song is of high standards. Creates some momentum and expectations fot the forthcoming album at least. :)

Robbie Williams - Candy
7heDreamer posted a post in a topic in Robbie Williams and Take That's Robbie Williams and Take ThatCatchiest Robbie single ahead of RDJ. It reminds me of some Robbie songs such as RDJ and Hot Fudge at parts but mostly the rythm and the way he sings it reminds me of a lot of funny songs my little sister listened to when she was 4 years old  (e.g the gummy bear stuff). I think I like it, it is fun, instant and a definite chart topper but perhaps a bit too catchy for me. It is 'embarassingly infectious'

The 2011 Buzzjack Chart Awards: Best Album
Adele - 21 Probably going to sweep every award isn't she. It is a good album, I am still happy if this wins Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops And Hooligans Bruno being on this list doesn't surprise me, still not oneof my favourite albums Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures No comment, just a BAD idea from every point of view Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto Good album (lyrically weak, musicaly strong although some of the electronic music actually ruins their songs) Florence and the Machine - Ceremonials My favourite, I voted for it. Interesting concept surrounded by good videos and singles. Lady Gaga - Born this Way I prefer this to The Fame, but obviously everyone else doesn't  Not my favourite, still ok. Will Young - Echoes Doesn't fit the list imo (if we bar out Wino)

Albums where the 4th (or later) singles have gone to #1...
Because the singles kept getting better. :cheer: (One Step Closer < Crawling < Papercut < In The End) The album was a huge success anyway if I remember well. Must be one of the most successful alternative albums of all time. Coldbray after Bubre  Epic nickname

Sunday Chart Predictions
Albums With little more than a week to go Michael Buble is staking a serious claim to top the festive artist albums chart with his album Christmas’s sales rising week-on-week by 79%. So if the overall weakly increase is 50% he could even sell 300k this week! He now has an outside chance of becoming the 2nd best selling album of the year! (and Coldplay could finish fifth! )

iTunes Chart: December 2011 (I)
Why? I do not see Olly selling more than 40k for any reason. That would mean Coldplay are in the course for ~100k (if the are not frontloaded because of the big XF performance) and Lil-Mix are in the course of ~280k-300k because of (a) the physicals (b) it should be frontloaded and loose some ground after thursday. They have a huge lead over the last week contenders which were selling really week for a top5...

iTunes Chart: December 2011 (I)
So little mix are on the course of 300k? Worse sales each year for the XF winner...

iTunes Chart: December 2011 (I)
What a beautiful top2! I wonder how much will Coldplay album sales pick up after today... I think they could get anywhere from no2 (if Amy drops a lot) to no5! :cheer:

iTunes Chart: December 2011 (I)
No it doesn't! He has an album out, and it is selling in blistering pace. Buble's singles usually (except from Haven't Met You Yet lately) do not sell much. On the contrary Leona's album is not out yet and it is doubtfull whether the 'Hurt trio' will be included in her album or not. Leona is an album seller, but is doing really well with singles too. I wouldn't really compare the two since they are completely different artists and Buble is promoting a seasonal album.

Leona performances on UK & US X Factor
Not as good as run, but the live version was better than the studio version! :o I fear that the album (appearently) has no decent ballads in it and they had to resort to a cover again... :( This is bad news because Leona needs SO BADLY a big single now. Regardless if Hurt charts and sells well she won't get much from it anyway... not any artistic credit, not any tv/radio play. We all know she is an ace singer, but she needs good songs. It could have been released as a double a-side together with her next single instead imo. I wonder if they changed the lineup of the album in the meantime, since they pushed the release date back... (by the way the studio version of Iris is much better than the studio version of Hurt in her EP)

iTunes Chart: December 2011 (I)
Coldplay, YES  It may not be their best album but it is one of the best of this years Q4 imo (my 2nd favourite behind Ceremonials) I would love to see Coldplay and Buble toping the charts this week and the following one!

'Hurt' • First EP

iTunes Chart November (III)
Coldplay and Buble are proper quests. Leona is ok (though not the super-guest). But JLS and One Direction? Oh please!

Predict : Amy Winehouse - Lioness : Hidden Treasures
I hope it flops (it won't). It should do ~70k but I feel it may be as low as no5 behind Bubble, Rihanna, Coldplay and Olly.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I have been complaining about wrong management in certain cases and I see a Joe-fan is dong this too now. But the truth is , it IS A MAJOR quality for an artist to be able to sell himself and his work not only straight to the public but also to the media, advertisers , tv shows, magazines or whatever he needs to support his work. The media have their favourite ones yes, but artists CAN break these walls if they are skilled enough. Everyone in the showbiz is in for money. If you look like a fast horse they will bet some money and time on you. What I cannot explain is the huge success of "We Found Love". Rihanna has released so many better songs and this is the most successful chartwise? :o WHY? (also taking into consideration that the video is not even worth noting)

Sunday Chart Predictions
I can honestly see Buble's Christmas overtaking Olly on Saturday... Christmas should increase further this week and could sell as high as 130k-150k imo. Starting with 50k Olly should do 130-150k too. (probably closer to 130 though) :kink:

Sunday Chart Predictions
I neither see the reason behind the top10 effect nor the very effect itself. The only reason could be the minor promo from viewing the song at the bottom of your itunes top10 when not expanded. But how much of a reason is that for anyone to buy a song? Songs are accelerating back and forth all the time, not only when they get in or out of the top10. Before dropping out of the t10, songs usually already fall faster than what they did during the last few hours (thats what falling means). The trend is continued and that's why the fall even faster during the next few hours unless if there is a good reason not to. A reason you see a 'freefall' could be that the sales gap between lower entries in the chart is smaller than this of the top ones rather than the effect of the songs just dropping out of the top10. The only way to prove a such theory (of the top10 effect) would actually be a real time itunes chart.
