Posted January 27, 201510 yr Welcome to one of the long awaited Favourite Music threads I've been meaning to do :drama: As I get my college work out of the way I will be working on these threads more often :D Rules All artists here have at least 4 tracks existing in my iTunes library, or if I feel like it I'll include some not meeting this criteria if appropriate. Perhaps if I decide/can think of enough other tracks I'll add them in :P I'll start posting them in alpha-order when I have the time. I'll also update this thread if I remember and notify when an update is made :D Index ALL ARTISTS AND STATS (ALL from my iTunes as a list, not all on this post will have ranked songs by them) Artists in This Thread All of these artists have at least 4 tracks I can think of by them. January 27, 201510 yr Author 2 CHAINZ http://www.bet.com/topics/-/2-chainz/_jcr_content/topicintro.topicintro.dimg/042612-music-2chainz.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 6 (4 in library) AS LEAD: 0 AS FT.: 6 2 Chainz is a rapper who has featured on a few songs, especially in the last few years. He only appears as a featured artist here and possibly never as a lead in the chart  1. Talk Dirty (feat. 2 Chainz) by Jason Derulo RbtPXFlZlHg A 5 star rated track from one of my favourite artists, Jason Derulo. A great use of saxophones (yet the video shows trumpets ) and deserved its chart success, as it spent 2 weeks at #1. Also the first time he has used an artist to feature in a song of his  2. We Own It (Fast & Furious) (feat. 2 Chainz) by Wiz Khalifa b9ba4okDgx0 A 4.5 star rated track and a well done rap overall from the movie Fast & Furious 6. It peaked at 6  and had a fair run, often climbing and falling during its run. 3. Give It 2 U (feat. Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz) by Robin Thicke TH8m6J3gPH0 The sequel to Thicke's most downloaded of 2013 Blurred Lines, which spent 5 non-consecutive weeks at #1. This track peaked at #15 and didn't spent too long in the chart, but features rapper Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz and I prefer the choruses to the verses. I'm not that struck on Kendrick's part though  but quite a good track :D 4. Headband (feat. 2 Chainz) by B.oB k2rqUlYN1m8 The lowest 2 Chainz track in my list existing in my library by one of my favourite rappers B.o.B who I'll be doing later in the thread. It did nothing in the UK but did feature over in the US. A bit different to B.o.B's other track styles but still a catchy track which accompanies whistling sounds (and probably a whish of DJ Mustard :P) 5. Trampoline (feat. 2 Chainz) by Tinie Tempah 6VOeQZ6Bi7I Unfortunately a track from one of my favourite rappers Tinie Tempah (who we'll be seeing a lot of later) that I don't like :nocheer: I just don't like the "shake, shake, shake..." in it, it's too repetitive, boring and lacks rapping/music quality  6. Beez In The Trap (feat. 2 Chainz by Nicki Minaj EmZvOhHF85I Although not as bad as Anaconda or Stupid Hoe (:puke2: :puke2:) this is a poor track :nono: :drama:. The production is boring and annoying, and the vocals are just as bad  Edited January 28, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM
January 27, 201510 yr Author ADAM YOUNG http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/30400000/Adam-Young-owl-city-30407084-420-420.jpghttp://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpdxvkKmtU1qd8oya.gif TOTAL TRACKS: 7 AS LEAD: 1 AS FT. 5 AS REMIXER: 1 My favourite artist, also known as Owl City and coincidentally features in my avatar  Also, he holds the record for most tracks in my library of which I rate all 5 stars, although all but one here are as featured. Otherwise Matrix & Futurebound holds the record with four tracks all 5 stars ;) I will post only tracks credited as Adam Young here. When I post them, refer to the Owl City post for credits as Owl City :) 1. Eternity (feat. Adam Young) by Paul van Dyk npiBAlRN70Y This track was actually the most played track on my iTunes library for a while until I met Avicii and Nicky Romero's I Could Be The One (Nicktim) which overtook it. The only track I own by Paul at the moment. Beautiful lyrics, vocals, music video, production, the word 'beautiful' simply doesn't cover it, and if I posted how much I love this track using :wub:s there would be so many I would have a modifier remove them for spam :o  2. Eternity (Giuseppe Ottaviani Re-Edit) (feat. Adam Young) by Paul van Dyk sjpC_tTcAJ8 A remix of the above track but very similar sounding. 3. Saviour (Adam Young Remix) by LIGHTS 5TGbIAban14 Adam's production is just as awesome as his vocals  I'm glad Adam led me to this track because it is AWESOME  LIGHTS is very talented and an attractive girl, and the combination of these artists and the interesting music video makes this an unheard of it to the UK :( LIGHTS also appears in this thread later on, some of which with Owl City and also appeared in the music video with him in Deer In The Headlights. Also, LIGHTS has never appeared in the UK chart as far as I can tell  4. Alive (feat. Adam Young) by Schiller rATaUDroGxk Another track I only found because of Adam, produced and credited by german producer Schiller who only appears once here. An album only track but quite a talent on production and as usual Mr. Young never ceases to impress  5. Ridiculously Happy by Adam Young baSqiNJHnqU An instrumental track, and actually according to the channel owner, Adam chose not to add lyrics to it because he didn't think they would fit in well, and I think I agree :) This is the only track I have where Adam is the lead artist and the only official non-vocal track by him. Also I think this is credited as Adam Young because there is no vocals  6. Middledistancerunner (feat. Adam Young) by Chicane nSnIi9iUJeI The only occurance in this list that charted in the UK chart. It peaked at 173. A great chillout track with piano beats and vocals from Adam which you could easily fall asleep too  The only appearance of Chicane here and a fun video to watch too :D 7. In The Air (feat. Adam Young) by Ørjan Nilsen lGslwGBzCXs It's #7 and bottom in this list but I still love it  Also only heard of because of Adam and this is the only appearance of Nilsen here. Great production and vocals to match as usual :D Edited January 28, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM

January 27, 201510 yr Author Who the feck is Adam Young.... never mind http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/William-Shatner-Slapping-Himself.gif Oh hi Martin. Didn't expect to see you here :kink: As ironically explained in the post  he is the real name of Owl City (Fireflies, Good Time? :P) and sometimes he credits himself as his real name. I'm afraid there won't be any Madonna as she's a bit past me (although I only recently got Hung Up, love that track ) but I think I have enough Kylie tracks to make it here ;)
January 28, 201510 yr Author Adele http://www.britneyspearsnetworth.com/NETWORTH/britneyspearsnetworth.com_imageslinks/Adele-21-400x300.jpg Adele is a singer who is best known for the likes of Someone Like You (which spent 5 weeks at #1) and Rolling In The Deep (#2). I only have one track by Adele in my library, but since I have heard a few of her tracks, I thought she would qualify here :D 1. Skyfall StJLvbPIvTw This peaked at #2 and was used in the film Skyfall, the latest James Bond movie. I like it and it's a good track for the film. The producers were lucky to get her to feature in it, as she originally denied the request  2. Rolling In The Deep rYEDA3JcQqw This peaked at #2 and spent 10 weeks in the top 10. It's quite a good track actually and she sings really well here. Perhaps one day I'll add it  :P 3. Someone Like You hLQl3WQQoQ0 Her most successful track which spent 5 non-consecutive weeks at #1. I admire the strong vocals but I think it's a little overrated and I don't think I'll ever add it  4. Set Fire To The Rain G0mzLQyd36A This peaked at #11. It's a good track but not as good as the others mentioned here
January 28, 201510 yr Author Afrojack http://cdn.doandroidsdance.com/assets/2014/02/afrojack-head-bw.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 5 (4 in library) AS LEAD: 4 AS FEAT.: 1 Afrojack is an electronic producer and I feel he is a bit underrated in the chart   1. As Your Friend (feat. Chris Brown) stV2UD_vmxY This peaked at only #21 and didn't last more than a few weeks in the top 100 :nocheer: I love the fun production and style of it, and the Chris Brown vocals go really well with it :D 2. Ten Feet Tall (feat. Wrabel) bltr_Dsk5EY Unfortunately this was #9 on the first Tuesday of release but just ended at #20 at the end of the week, spending even less weeks than AYF. I think it deserved better than it did, as it provided great vocals and production together really worked  I like to refer to it as 'the All Of Me that should've been' :kink: 3. Give Me Everything (Tonight) (feat. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer) by Pitbull EPo5wWmKEaI This is rapper Pitbull's most successful track which spent 3 weeks at #1. Afrojack lent his production skills to the track (and I must say he does it really well :D). All four of the artists contribute really well overall and is a well deserved hit :) 4. The Spark (feat. Spree Wilson) IB3lcPjvWLA I'm not that struck on the vocals, but the production is pretty good here :) it is also his most successful lead track, as it peaked at #17. It also had a fairly decent chart run, possibly due to the Gift Card Effect as it was released in December :cheer: 5. Rock The House q6h0_9Zv7aM The only Afrotrack (:kink:) here not in my iTunes. It's not much to the ear hence why I never added it  Edited January 28, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM
January 29, 201510 yr Author Akon http://www.kboing.com.br/fotos/imagens/4d4fec9e502b1.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 6 (4 in library) AS LEAD: 3 AS FEAT.: 3 Akon is a singer and an R&B artist who as appeared in many tracks in the last two decades. He has also appeared in many David Guetta tracks, who is one of my favourite DJs and will be seen later in the thread ;) 1. Play Hard (feat. Akon & Ne-Yo) by David Guetta 5dbEhBKGOtY This track samples the track Better Off Alone which peaked at #2 back in 1999 (which is also my #2 favourite song from the 1987-2008 era :P). I can criticise it for the lack of work Guetta has seemingly done in this track but the vocalists Ne-Yo and Akon do really well with it :D It peaked debuted at #22 for 2 weeks upon album release, and at single release peaked at #6. It had quite a long run in the top 100 too :) 2. Beautiful (feat. Kardinal Offishal & Colby O'Donis) rSOzN0eihsE The track's title was well thought as the track is beautiful  Fantastic vocals from all three artists and superb dance production. Despite peaking at only #8 it had a fairly long run in the top 100. 3. Sexy Chick (feat. Akon) by David Guetta N9hazmsUxrM This was Guetta's second #1, the previous single was also #1, When Love Takes Over featuring Kelly Rowland. A great classic from Guetta and great production and usual. Akon does pretty well here. In fact, the top 3 tracks in this countdown are pretty close, as I love them all! :D 4. I Just Had Sex (feat. Akon) by The Lonely Island lQlIhraqL7o A track from comedy group The Lonely Island. Despite only peaking at #68, it's still a pretty good track :) 5. Right Now (Na Na Na) vIaH35-MLsk A forgotten track for me which does not yet exist in my library, It peaked at #6 and I may decide to add it in the future  I quite like this track, and it could well overtake #4 very soon if I decide to get it :D 6. Lonely 6EEW-9NDM5k Akon's first #1 which spent 2 weeks there, it's quite an old song (over a decade old) and still pretty decent. I also do not own this yet. January 29, 201510 yr Author Alesso http://www.mixmag.net/sites/default/files/imagecache/article/images/aaAlesso620.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 9 AS LEAD: 9 AS FEAT.: 0 Alesso is a DJ who has been collaborating with many other DJ's including Avicii and David Guetta :cheer: I will also note that he produced Example's album only track Queen Of Your Dreams for his The Evolution Of Man album. It will not appear here since he was uncredited but will in Example's countdown :) 1. If I Lose Myself by Alesso vs OneRepublic dLa_ryRjC7M This track was the follow-up to the #1 hit Counting Stars. The official release was the Alesso remix (:cheer:) and climbed rather quickly to the peak of #8. It did descend almost as quickly out of the chart, however :nocheer: I admire the production, as it differs slightly different to other techniques. And I do love a bit of Ryan's vocals :P This was also in my top 10 tracks for 2014 :D 2. Heroes (We Could Be) (feat. Tove Lo) a7SouU3ECpU This was Alesso's first top 10 track with him as the only lead artist. This was also Tove Lo's second top 10 hit after Stay High. It peaked at #6 and has held quite well in the top 10, spending 5 weeks so far in this range :D Addicting production and Tove's vocals are stunning  this features at #17 in my EOY 2014 chart :D 3. Every Chance We Get We Run (feat. Tegan & Sara) by David Guetta & Alesso KcqBj68qrQc An album only track from Guetta's Nothing But The Beat 2.0 album. Also my first listen of Tegan & Sara who'll also feature in the thread. Guetta and Alesso work well to produce this and I thought it should've been a single release  great T&S vocals though D 4. Calling (Lose My Mind) (feat. Ryan Tedder) by Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso 9G1I16gJBvU This was Alesso's first chart instance which peaked at #19. It is also by Ingrosso who is part of the trio in Swedish House Mafia. Also featuring Ryan's vocals, this fell quickly after spending only 2 weeks in the top 40. It sounds similar to If I Lose Myself in comparison, especially since 2 artists feature in both tracks  5. Years (feat. Matthew Koma) aIrB96V-UNI A popular choice of vocals by Matthew Koma in dance tracks :D and for good reason. I praise heavily the vocals, perhaps more than the Alesso production itself. It failed to reach the top 100, peaking at #109 :( 6. Scars (feat. Ryan Tedder) URH-uZk1Ado Another track with Ryan in  unfortunately this is a live-only stream. It has been speculated to possibly have a release when Alesso releases his album in 2015  7. Under Control (feat. Hurts) by Calvin Harris & Alesso yZqmarGShxg With the help of massive chart DJ Calvin Harris, this was Alesso's first and only #1. It fell pretty quickly from the chart, unlike 2014's Blame and Summer  A good track with good vocals, but I reckon both DJ's could've done better  8. City Of Dreams (feat. Ruben Haze) by Dirty South & Alesso 3C2KSaqm3so A non-charting track I stumbled across. It's got some good vocals and production, but it's nothing that great :) 9. Skanska by Avicii & Alesso 7WyM5Gzda4I A non-single track and easily tellable that it's by these two artists :P It's good but a little repetitive
January 30, 201510 yr Author Alexandra Burke http://assets6.heart.co.uk/2011/03/alexandra-burke-backstage-in-glasgow-1295599318-view-0.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 6 (2 in library) AS LEAD: 6 AS FEAT.: 0 Alexandra is a singer most known for her X Factor winning single Hallelujah, a cover of Jeff Buckley's track which was 3 weeks at #1. I haven't heard her version yet. Only the first two here feature in my library :o 1. Let It Go Xr1CL6KWENY Perhaps her worst charting single yet, as it peaked at a poor #33 and fell quickly to #74. I quite like the production and the vocals go well with it :) 2. Elephant (feat. Erick Morillo) WeNk2_zBJvQ A nice dance production to this track also. It's one of those tracks which debut high and fall quickly, as this peaked at #3, spent 1 week in the top 10 and only 6 in the top 75 :o 3. All Night Long (feat. Pitbull) Ymx6CQTtFSI This peaked at #4 and I have only recently remembered its existence. It could easily be in line for my next addition :P 4. Start Without You (feat. Laza Morgan) MWKchS0GAyo Quite a catchy track, this was #1 for 2 weeks but fell rather quickly afterwards. 5. Broken Heels e2GecVOCxSM This peaked at #8 and had a longer run than Hallelujah, Start Without You, Elephant and Let It Go despite having one of her lowest peaking tracks! :o 6. Bad Boys (feat. Flo Rida) J9iVgw4sv-M I remember this track years ago. It's a good track, but I'm not that much into it :)
January 31, 201510 yr Author Alexandra Stan http://wiwibloggs.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Alexandra-Stan1.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 4 AS LEAD: 4 AS FEAT.: 0 Alexandra Stan is a Romanian singer and producer. Apart from Mr. Saxobeat, she is basically a UK one hit wonder :nocheer: 1. Get Back (ASAP) JxVlJVUOwhQ Her second top 100 track. This peaked at only #58 and spent only 1 week in the top 75 :( It sounds very similar to her previous Mr. Saxobeat hit, especially with the use of saxophones and the backing vocal. I love her vocals in this track and production. Such an underrated tune :nocheer: 2. Mr. Saxobeat lAhHNCfA7NI Her only top 40 track, which was a global success and peaked at 3. It debuted at #31 and climbed to #3 five weeks later, spending 6 weeks in the top 10. It is quite an awesome track with great vocals and is quite catchy :D 3. 1.000.000 (feat. Carlprit) K7Nj65PddFs One of her singles not released in the UK but it's quite catchy also :D 4. Crazy iv48VwWJMaI Another album saxophone-y track () which I stumbled upon but she once again produces great vocals here :D Edited January 31, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM
February 1, 201510 yr Author AlunaGeorge http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02595/AlunaGeorge_2595353b.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 5 AS LEAD: 3 AS FEAT.: 2 AlunaGeorge is a duo of Aluna and George, a singer and producer. They first gained mainstream success with their feature in Disclosure's White Noise which peaked at #2. Their first solo track, Attracting Flies had a decent run, peaking to #17 and spending a reasonable length of weeks in the chart. 1. Attracting Flies 7d_HD89ZlJE This peaked at #17 and was their first solo track after White Noise. It's very catchy and the vocals are fantastic along with the funky production   2. White Noise (feat. AlunaGeorge) by Disclosure bkk2H3Ztrfk Not too far behind #1is White Noise. I love the dance production in this, and I'm glad it was such a success, as it peaked at #2 and spent quite a while in the chart :cheer:  3. One Touch (feat. AlunaGeorge & Rae Sremmurd) by Bauuer tITYj52gXxU A recent track unlikely to chart in the UK :( it's catchiness is similar to AF and very pleasant to listen to :music: 4. You Know You Like It FWR9MR5juWI This song is good, and peaked at #39. It did not last too long in the top 100, and I'm not that keen on it but occasionally I'll listen to it :) 5. Best Be Believing Vhh-XF01Ats This is the only track here not in my iTunes. It did nothing in the chart, and the track is OK but never got into it that much
February 1, 201510 yr Author Angel http://www.voice-online.co.uk/sites/default/files/imagecache/455/ANGEL.jpg TOTAL TRACKS: 4 AS LEAD: 2 AS FEAT.: 2 1. Lights On (feat. Angel & Tinchy Stryder) by Wiley NBUMGpBBdck I really like this track  it's a great party/dance track and the vocals support it really well. It peaked at #9 and fell rather quickly after :( 2. Time After Time Vae91nUMgow This song's pre-choruses are really catchy :D unfortunately this suffered the poor peak of #41 but did appear in the Chart Update. 3. Wonderful jubKVp_hpE0 His only solo top 40 hit which peaked at #9. It has a fairly decent run but dropped out a little quickly. 4. T.I.N.A. (feat. Angel) by Fuse ODG O_pbBkXQg20 Edited February 1, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM
February 1, 201510 yr There are better places for this - Chart Histories would suit I think. Will move it as this forum is more for weekly/fortnightly/monthly charts.

OK :) I wasn't sure where to put it since it isn't a EOY chart, so I put it in the main Personal Charts forum ;) I will use this Chart Histories subforum for any other similar threads I do in future :) Edited February 1, 201510 yr by SPINUMINATI ADAM
