Well, to the pleasant surprise of this nation, Zanmatony have qualified to appear in their first final of “The Best Of” series! The final entry chosen and voted for by other nations is their entry in BJSC 133 from March 2021, and it’s by Mint Royale featuring Lauren Laverne, from the year 2000, and it is Don’t Falter.

 The Zanmatonese people go wild as their latest entry receives a qualification to the final of BJSC 141! It breaks a DNQ streak of 3 from the last few contests and starts 2022 on the front foot. Artist: Transa Song: Timeless Transa is an EDM production unit composed of brothers Dave and Brenden Webster, also known as Cascade and Catcher. Based in Great Britain, they have produced mostly trance music over their career, but have slipped into the realm of progressive house on occasion. Assignment: Argentina Artist: TINI & Beéle Song: Fantasi TINI is an Argentinian actress, model, singer, songwriter and dancer who gained international popularity for her debut role as Violetta Castillo on the Disney Channel Latin America original telenovela, Violetta. Her debut album, Tini, was released worldwide on digital and physical formats on 29 April 2016. Her second album titled Quiero Volver was released on 12 October 2018, She has also joined La Voz… Argentina as a coach for the series' second season. Beéle is a singer born in 2003 in Barranquilla, Colombia, but grew up in Maracay, Venezuela. He represented Spain at the thirty-fourth edition of the North Vision Song Contest with the song "Caníbales". In 2019 he signed with the famous record company of DJ Luian and Mambo Kingz: Hear This Music, having as his debut the song "Loco". He has also collaborated with other artists, such as Montano and Totoy. Fantasi reflects the desire of two people who picture themselves together from different places. As she has done on her other recent hits, TINI co-wrote this song with its award-winning producers Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo, along with Beéle and his collaborator SuperDakis. Thank you to all the nations who gave points to Transa! A truly special chilled ambient song I have known about for many years and perhaps was somewhat reluctant to share with others, but glad I found new fans for the song. Thank you for assisting Zanmatony to achieve it's 10th unique final position, just a single position higher than the last contest, making up a quarter of all possible final positions!

Glad that you did decide to finally enter this then, really hits the right spot for relaxation music for me - a little disappointed at it finishing as low as 34th but it was close to not making the final at all so shouldn't complain too much.
(glad to see that it is presumably due to be added to Spotify soon, will definitely be adding it to my best of 2022 playlist so that will be helpful to have one less local file x) |

Masquerade III Entry (April 2022)
Assignment: Danæviia Artist: Gareth Emery feat. Sarah de Warren Song: Calling Home Gareth Emery is a British trance producer who has won the prestigious A State of Trance Tune of the Year award three times. Prior to becoming involved in electronic music he played guitar in a punk band in the mid-nineties. His production style is influenced by various genres of electronic dance music. He was ranked in DJ Mag's Top 100 poll for many years between 2006 and 2015. Sarah De Warren is a London-based vocalist and songwriter, often appearing as a featured artist or collaborator on EDM and Trance tracks. Her other collaborative projects have included with Ashley Wallbridge, LNY TNZ, Bingo Players, Luna, ALIGN, Myris and others. Of the song Calling Home, Gareth Emery said “This song has been something of an anthem as we’ve welcomed crowds to re-opened venues these past few months. Wonderful news received today that a new national qualification record has been achieved;

Thank you to everybody who helped TEARS OF TRAGEDY qualify in the 144th BJSC. It becomes our fourth consecutive qualifier and helps us to maintain a 100% qualification streak for 2022. One more consecutive qualification will match another record set for Zanmatony for longest qualification streak with a break in between. Incidentally our longest DNQ streak also remains to be 4 which happened between BJSC 93-96. See you in the final!

Zanmatony is thrilled to announce another excellent result for another BJSC final. Japanese artists TEARS OF TRAGEDY went on to score many points and also become the best performing entry so far of 2022, managing a final position of 29th! Our qualification streak was extended to 4 which is a new record achieved for our nation, and our current streak has left us with these final positions - 35-34-30-29. Each time we have made progress, and it seems that we will look to continue this trend into the next contest too.
It has been brought to our attention by Bré, that our nation have now reached the Top 100 counties for all-time points achieved!
