> Hello, and welcome to the thirty-third edition of the Buzzjack Song Contest, once again hosted in Kopečka's capital, Zagorasta! My name is Shirley Clamp, noted Queen of Pressbyrån and recently appointed Hot Mess tsar of the Kopeček government after my fifth failed attempt to represent the nation in the BJSC, and I'll be hosting this contest. I'll be strapping my gargantuan hamstrings into something horrid later on for the interval entertainment, but until then, let us get on with the show!

 

> There are 42 nations joining us for this contest, the highest number since June last year! As a result, we will be having semi-finals (as I'm sure you've figured out by now), but in a twist we won't be having autoqualifiers! The ISCBK has decided to set a precedent and take the risk of entering the semi-finals to make things fairer and make more room in the final for nations on merit, but in response to overwhelming demand from the Kopeček voters, both of the nominal auto-qualifiers, KOPEČKA and FSR RONTVIA, will be required to vote in both semi-finals.

 

> The semis go as follows: unless you're either of the above nations, you vote in your own semi-final, and you will be deducted 33% from your score if you fail to vote. There are 21 nations in each semi, and the top 14 will qualify from each to make an overall final of 28. You vote in the traditional BJSC manner: 12 points for your favourite entry, 10 for your second favourite, 8 for your third favourite, 7 for your fourth favourite, and so on down to 1 point for your 10th favourite entry. Votes are sent to me, Tyron by PM, by 7pm Wednesday 13th April. Votes sent after this deadline will be accepted at the host's discretion but don't push your luck, as results are intended to be revealed that evening.

I probably would have done but I've only listened to it twice so far. I liked it a lot on both listens but not enough for me to rush to change my entry. I've been preoccupied with listening to Kylie!

Just so you are aware the video for N-Lazone: Big Time Rush 'Til I Forget About You' doesn't work, it says i can't view it in the UK

More songs than usual this month that I've heard beforehand actually, though the return of the semis isnt partically pleasing.

Has the Big Time Rush song not been entered before by the way? I'm positive that it has.

 

They did a song with Snoop Dogg. Have to admit I wasn't impressed. I don't think there will ever be an American boyband as good as Backstreet Boys for releasing actually good songs.
