Good points here The framework is partially quantitative and partly qualitative. That means there’s always a scope of interpretation in there. We do our best to be consistent month to month, helps we have a very experienced team, but we don’t always get it 100% spot on for everyone’s taste or viewpoint. We try to be fair for the contest and to all of you. We are not here to throw out everything and anything and be overly restrictive, our best case scenario is a zero veto month and that’s what we aim for every month. The framework does need an update tho, it has served us well in it’s current form but it needs a wee refresher

Idk I just enter whatever I’m loving the most at that moment in time that won’t be thrown out by the veto. Put literally no more thought than that into it. (And it shows, I know Pavel) I try not to over think it or put too much stock in the outcome +1 to this. Veto only exists to ensure this isn’t a race to the bottom featuring this summers latest releases from Madonna, Charlie XCX, Ariana Grande etc and remains a place where everyone can find a new song or artist. Have no interesting in policing entries any further

I have no qualms skipping a track before it’s finished. Some pieces just really are not your cuppa and that’s ok, not everything is gonna be. You don’t have to force yourself to sit through something you clearly hate, regardless of if it’s 2 mins or 20 mins. There’s no points or rewards for sitting and suffering through every second of every track

I only listen to a long songs in full if it captivates me after the first couple of minutes. You gotta earn those extra minutes
