I did a search to see if there was a thread on this, although searching for the worlds 'The' and 'Closer' is never very effective it has to be said.

 

Anyway I'm not sure if there are any FANZ on here for this wondrous TV show, but I'm starting a thread in the hope that there are, so I can finally discuss it with someone (outside of the LOONS on The Closer forum who hate Mary McDonnell because they don't KNOW THEMSELVES).

I know it's in its 7th (and final) season now, but a brief overview: Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is the highest ranking female officer in the LAPD and is known as 'The Closer' due to her knack of gaining confessions from almost all of her suspects. Something which is now coming back to haunt her :(

 

 

Also I NEED to share this amazing scene with people, yes it's fabulous mainly down to the wondrous Mary MCDonnell and not very representative of the series at all, but I love it SO:

 

I'm slowly but surely working my way through season 1 and I am loving it so far.

Oh YAY, keep me posted on where you are with it Silas. I don't think it gets really good until S3, but then I remember adoring both S1 and 2 when I first saw them too.

I'm going to rewatch S7 again next week (it's back on the 28th) in time for the 5 Winter episodes. How I'm going to manage the 5 MONTHS until we get the concluding 6 next May/June I don't know, especially not if we have a massive cliffhanger again.

 

The end of S07E10 is by far the best acting I've ever seen from Kyra, she says very little but it's so powerful.

 

I think I'm on episode 9 or 10 of season 1. It's one of the two, I just can't remember if I've seen 9 or not.

 

 

Like I said, very slowly making my way through S1. Other shows keep distracting me.

Now that the series is ending I'm glad that they are making it interesting and suspenseful, even tho I'm REALLY sad to see it go. About the leak (the mole): Brenda-Leigh has saved Flynn and Provenza from losing their jobs more than once. Her team solved the murder of Sanchez's brother, and Sanchez's attempted murder. Her team loves her. Fritz would NEVER betray Brenda-Leigh Johnson. It has to be Taylor or Pope (both tho' are too obvious). So, who else could it be?

Exactly. I have NO IDEA, it literally could be anyone. My money is on either Flynn or Provenza though, not sure of their motivation, but I can't see it being Tao or Sanchez and Pope and Taylor are way too obvious.
