Simon, Louis, and the other irrelevant judge were deciding which of the young talented boys would be going through to the Judges' Houses stage of The X Factor's seventh series. Zayn, Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall all stood waiting to hear their decided fate, and sadly for them it was not meant to be. They hadn't made it through and they wouldn't be progressing in the competition. They were gutted. Tears here, tears there, tears backstage, tears dripping down onto Simon's head. It was probably for that reason that he found himself making a big decision. Harry thought it was all just for a good bit of TV (as we've seen in 'This Is Us') - wanting to make them cry and exploit it all on an Autumn Saturday night so ITV wouldn't be doing too badly in the ratings. However, the five of them were called back onto the stage and it was decided that they would form a fivesome (wouldn't we love to see that? :kink:). Heading off to Simon's judge's home in Marbella, they had become ONE DIRECTION. Performing a beautiful rendition of Natalie Imbruglia's 'Torn', they then progressed into the live shows! What kind of SCHERZY SHADE is this! 'Torn' was such a brilliant choice for them, suits them really well. I'd love a studio version.

I'd love a studio version. :kink: I wasn't keen on Nicole AT ALL (especially after Rylan got through over Queen Carolynne in 2012) until the latter half of that series. But last year she was a QoL *.*

April 6, 201411 yr Bootcamp <3 the start of 1D, such a special moment in the history of X Factor. Imagine if one of the five wasn't there, or there was someone else in place of one of them. The dynamics would be so different and 1D could've totally flopped :o They really struck gold here <3

April 8, 201411 yr Author Just watched their performance of 'Torn' again - really amazing! Simon must've known at that point that with their image and sound they were going to be something pretty massive!
