The most generous voter was me (I can't deny, i love her). But there were many others too. The most notable were Lukuzz, -Jay-, Regina, gooddelta, Piano*, Aaliyah4eva and Sarah (More than 200 total points). Liam and Barbariser were too close (199,5). Aphrodite was quite close too (199 total points). 3. One song has an average score "10" (Can you guess..?)!!!! 4. The most positive point was 11 (Of course..) 5. The most negative point was 3 (I couldn't believe it..) 6. There were 3 double scores. 7. Only one song had 4 11's. 8. Only one song had 12 10's. 9. There were 14 songs without having 11's. 10. There were only 3 songs without having 10's. Some voters wanted more songs in this rate. I decided to make this list because i thought that these songs were the most popular. Some members referred 4 songs because they charted in U.k music charts. These songs are : "Call The Man", "The Reason", "Treat Her Like A Lady" and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". The first two are great!!! But i couldn't believe that she released "Treat Her Like A Lady when she had the magnificent song "Let's Talk About Love". What was on her mind.. I can only imagine Diana King to sing this song (She did the backing vocals). "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" had already so many covers in music history. "I Want You To Need Me" should be her second single in U.k. Her management team did many mistakes those years. dL3-RExDlU4 Mhyrk0riixU DD1scv8ywQQ jnXNt4fJqj4
April 25, 201411 yr Author No.25 Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) Average Score : 6.41 Highest Voter : 9 (Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 3 (Rosco & Acidburn) Goodbye's (The saddest word) is the lowest song in this countdown. I really like this song and i love the meaning behind it...Many voters gave it very low votes in comparison with the rest of songs. It seems that this song doesn't remind their mothers (Maybe it happens with other songs)...It was the third single from her sixth-English language album "A New Day Has Come". The truth is that this song wasn't succesful. It had moderate success in some countries such as Belgium, Dutch, Italy, Swiss and United Kingdom. But it managed to touch the hearts of Hungarians. It had the best peak there (#15). The song was written and produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, while Lange and his then-wife, country singer Shania Twain did the backing vocals. The song is about motherly love and fear of losing one's mother. All we know that Celine adores her mother and it's obvious that she dedicated this emotional perfromance to her. The videoclip was directed by Chris Applebaum in Paris. The European version of the single included "All Because of You" and it also featured also a duet with Anastacia on "You Shook Me All Night Long," taken from the VH1 Divas Las Vegas. (The performance was memorable but many rock fans totally hated it). Chorus : Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near Someday you'll say that word and I will cry It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye 5N09er8TCqU
April 25, 201411 yr Author No.24 One Heart Average Score : 6.79 Highest Voter : 10 (Rosco) Lowest Voter : 4 (Cameron & Acidburn) I want to believe that we all remember her awful haircut in the original video. What was on her mind.. That Hairdresser and make up artist would hate her... :P "One Heart" is one of her best guilty pleasure songs (although she hasn't many of them). It was recorded for her eight English studio album "One Heart" and it was released as the second single outside North America. It was also released as a double a-side single along with "I Drove All Night" in U.k and it was her first double a-side release in the UK. Though it was not a very wise move (#27). "One Heart" is one of her most catchy songs and i was sure that she would release it as single. But she didn't promote this song as it should be. She started her live shows in Las Vegas that period and she remoted in U.s.a. So, it was obvious that her single would not be very successful. Celine used to make great promotion in the 90's. It was a Top 40 hit in Austria, Greece, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. But it could have had a better peak if she had made a tour in these countries. It was written and produced by John Shanks and Kara DioGuardi and the latter did the backing vocals too. Chorus : If you got one heart you are followin' One dream keeps you wondering Love lights your way through the night One wish keeps you tryin' What's your silver lining Loves lights your way through the night 3mCiZuQsWCo Edited April 25, 201411 yr by Insomnio
April 26, 201411 yr Author No.23 Love Can Move Mountains Average Score : 6.94 Highest Voter : 9,5 (Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 4 (Slowdown) "Love Can Move Mountains" is one her best uptempo songs!!! Her official video has energy and Celine seems to enjoy it. It was her fourth single from her 1992 self-titled seventeenth studio album. It was produced by Ric Wake and it was written by the famous songwriter Diane Warren. The latter wrote a lot of succesful songs in the 90's (How Do I Live", Un-Break My Heart", "Because You Loved Me etc)!!! However, "Love Can Move Mountains" didn't manage to be a big hit worldwide. It had moderate success but i believe that many of her fans still watch the videoclip on youtube. It peaked at #46 in U.k and it was a Top 40 hit in Billboard. It was also a big hit on the club charts in the U.S. Celine really loves this song because it was a part of every one of her tours. The influence from gospel and dance is simply great and it fits perfect with the lyrics. I will agree with Celine. If you believe in love, love can move mountains... Chorus : With a little faith Just a little trust If you believe in love Love can move mountains Believe in your heart And feel, feel it in your soul And love baby love can Move mountains 4StjffsuKWY
April 26, 201411 yr Author No.22 Immortality Average Score : 6.94 Highest Voter : 10 (Jay) Lowest Voter : 4 (Regina, Liam and Pippa) I can't believe that this beautiful song is so low in this list. It has also the same average score with "Love Can Move Mountains" but one member gave 10 (Jay) when the latter had only 9.5..It was released as her fourth single from her successful album "Let's Talk About Love". Bee Gees did the backing vocals for this song. It was composed especially for Céline Dion by brothers Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, and Maurice Gibb, the members of the Bee Gees, and it was produced by Walter Afanasieff. The latter is responsible for many hits of Mariah Carey. "Immortality" was very successul in many European countries (Austria, France, Sweden, Switzerland etc). It was certified platinum in Germany and it has sold more than 500.000 copies there. It charted at No.4 in U.k and it's one of her best selling singles there. The videoclip is one of her best, Randee St. Nicholas did a great job and the cinematography was stunnng! I love the meaning of the song and it always gives me goose bumps their performance!!! Chorus : Immortality I make my journey through eternity I keep the memory of you and me inside QQdbQfb80Hg Edited April 26, 201411 yr by Insomnio
April 28, 201411 yr Author No.21 Only One Road Average Score : 7.12 Highest Voter : 9,5 (Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 5 (Cameron & Pippa) This song always reminds me Christmas. However, Celine's management team decide to release it in May 1995 in the United Kingdom.. This beautiful performance managed to have a decent average score. It was the fifth single from "The Colour of My Love". Its black and white video was very good. I think that her short haircut is always her best!!! The writer of the song is Peter Zizzo. He has also worked with Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne and Pixie Lott. "Only One Road" was a Top 10 hit in United Kingdom and Ireland. It had the same peak in these two countries (#8). It was also a Top 20 hit in Belgium and Top 30 hit in Australia and a Top 40 hit in the Netherlands. So, it was a good single choice based on these positions. Unfortunately, Celine didn't have similar effort in her last album "Loved Me Back to Life". I really miss this kind of music nowadays. So much nostalgia... Chorus : There is only one road I'm walkin' Only one lifetime one heart to guide me Only one road I'm walkin' But I'm gonna run back, I'm gonna run back 'Cause I need you right here Beside me vpod2bKt7jI
April 28, 201411 yr Author No.20 I'm Your Angel (duet with R. Kelly) Average Score : 7.15 Highest Voter : 10 (Acidburn) Lowest Voter : 4 (Liam) "I'm Your Angel" is one of the best collaborations in 90's!!! It was a great move that Celine had a beautiful ballad with R. Kelly! It was the first single from her album "These Are Special Times". The latter is her first English-language holiday album."I'm Your Angel" was written and produced by R. Kelly. It's one of her most selling singles worldwide! It was a number 1 in the United States and was certified platinum by the RIAA. However, "I'm Your Angel" remains both artists' final U.S. number one single to date (Sacrilege!). It charted at No.3 in U.k and it's her sixth most selling single there. It also charted in the Top 10 of many countries around the world such as The Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland and Ireland. I love their harmonies and the backing vocals of choir sound so great! Chorus : I'll be your cloud up in the sky I'll be your shoulder when you cry I'll hear your voices when you call me I am your angel And when all hope is gone, I'm here No matter how far you are, I'm near It makes no difference who you are I am your angel I'm your angel KDxuppSpKRA Edited April 28, 201411 yr by Insomnio
April 29, 201411 yr Author Ergh livid I missed the rating thread  Immortality needs to be higher. I agree with you. "Immortality" deserved to be much higher!! I suppose that some people don't like the backing vocals of Bee Gees. However, i think that their vocals create a beautiful atmosphere in this song!
May 1, 201411 yr Author No.19 Beauty and the Beast (duet with Peabo Bryson) Average Score : 7.56 Highest Voter : 10 (Lukuzz & Acidburn) Lowest Voter : 5 (Regina & Pippa) This is one of my favourite Disney songs!!. Another great collaboration with Celine! Basically, "Beauty and The Beast" was her first successful single worldwide!! It was written by Alan Menken (music) and Howard Ashman (lyrics) and it was produced by Walter Afanasieff. It charted at No.9 in Billboard and it was a Top 10 hit in U.k the following year (#9). It was also a Top 10 hit in New Zealand, a Top 20 hit in Australa, Ireland and The Netherlands and a Top 30 hit in Belgium. It was the recipient of several awards and accolades, including both the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. "Beauty and the Beast" was nominated for "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year", but lost both to Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven". In Canada, "Beauty and the Beast" won a Juno Award for "Single of the Year", beating Dion's own "If You Asked Me To". This song has many covers so far (The most notable is Jordin's Sparks). Many of Celine's fans wanted her to have a solo version of this song. As much as Ι love her, Ι think that Bryson's vocals fits so perfectly in this song. Billboard wrote, "it was her duet with Peabo Bryson on the theme song of Disney's Beauty and the Beast that was her true breakthrough". Chorus : Ever just the same Ever a surprise Ever as before Ever just as sure As the sun will rise pBw1cO-ql_Y Edited May 1, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 1, 201411 yr Author No.18 Misled Average Score : 7.59 Highest Voter : 10 (Regina & Aaliyah4Eva) Lowest Voter : 5 (Aphrodite) "Misled" is one of her best uptempo songs!!! I have always felt that Celine wanted to have a song that had Michael Jackson's sound. Janet Jackson could sing this song, too. "Misled" was the third single from Céline Dion's album "The Colour of My Love". It was written by Peter Zizzo & Jimmy Bralower and it was produced by Ric Wake. It topped the Hot Dance Club Play chart in the United States for 2 weeks and it was Dion's first number 1 on that chart! "Misled" was a Top 10 hit in her country (#7), a Top 20 hit in U.k (15) and a Top 30 hit in Billboard (#23). It's the third Céline Dion single that was re-released in the United Kingdom. "Misled" reached number 40 in April 1994 and later in November 1995 it peaked at number 15. I believe that her label decided to re-release this song because "Think Twice" was massive that year and it was obvious that "Misled" could have had better sales. Chorus : Just a page in my history Just another one of those mysteries One more lover that used to be If you think you're in my head You been seriously misled G63mjRDqVm8 Edited May 1, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 2, 201411 yr Author No.17 Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore Average Score : 7.72 Highest Voter : 11 (Insomnio) Lowest Voter : 4 (Cameron) This is my favorite song of all time from Celine!!! It was my first crush on her.. It was a big radio hit in my country and i listened to it almost everywhere (radio, tv, cafeterias, cars!). It's also my favourite french song of all time and i really love the official video too (So iconic!). It was directed by Michel Meyer and i think that he did a great video for Celine (playing with voodoo dolls for having her love back in her life, walking through the streets without shoes on, the colour of the video is simply amazing etc). "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" was the first hit single from album D'eux by Céline Dion! It was written and produced by Jean-Jacques Goldman and became one of Céline Dion's signature songs (I can't believe that it's so low in this rate!). Celine and Jean-Jacques Goldman collaborated many times in the past. The meaning of the song is about a woman who is emotionally dependent on a partner that has left her for another and they culminate in a desperate plea itering that she would turn herself into gold so that he will love her again. "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" became a smash hit in France, where it topped the singles chart for 12 weeks, sold 955,000 copies (platinum award), and became 1995's best-selling single!!! It spent 15 weeks at the top in Belgium Wallonia!! It also reached top 10 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which was an exceptional achievement for a French song. It charted at No.3 in the Netherlands and Sweden. According to Virgin17, the single has sold more than 4,000,000 copies, worldwide. Chorus : J'irai chercher ton coeur si tu l'emportes ailleurs Meme si dans tes danses d'autres dansent tes heures J'irai chercher ton ame dans les froids dans les flammes Je te jetterai des sorts pour que tu m'aimes encore diAbu2SQ4-Y Edited May 2, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 2, 201411 yr Hope Because You Loved Me and It's All Coming Back To Me Now are both high as they're my faves they deserve top 5 at least or either one #1 would be great
May 2, 201411 yr Author No.16 If You Asked Me To Average Score : 7.79 Highest Voter : 10 (Piano) Lowest Voter : 5 (Acidburn) I didn't expect it to be so high in this rate but it was a pleasant surprise for me..Basically, "If You Asked Me To" isn't an original song of Celine and i really didn't know it. Patti LaBelle sang this song in 1989 (featured on the soundtrack of the 1989 James Bond movie, Licence to Kill) and Celine Dion covered it three years later. The original version wasn't so successful as Celine's cover but Patti LaBelle explained during an interview used for the liner notes of her 1999 Greatest Hits album what she believed to be the reason for this fact: "I knew the song was a hit when I recorded it, and I was happy that Celine did it and did so well with it. But the arrangements are so close and we both have pretty powerful voices...so who knows why my version didn't take off. Maybe it was timing...". These are words from a true diva for me. She is so down to earth too! Dion included the song on her eponymous seventeenth studio album. It was written by Diane Warren and it was produced by Guy Roche. "If You Asked Me To" was one of her first hits in Billboard!! It reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100! In Canada, it reached number 1 on the Canadian Singles Chart and was the first of ten number ones on the Contemporary Hit Radio Chart! However, the song had moderate success elsewhere. It was a Top 30 hit in the Netherlands and New Zealand but it didn't manage to be a U.k Top 40 hit (#57). I hope someone will cover it on X-Factor. Chorus : But if you asked me to I just might change my mind And let you in my life forever If you asked me to I just might give my heart And stay here in your arms forever If you asked me to If you asked me to 8sidVyo15nw Edited May 9, 201411 yr by Insomnio
May 3, 201411 yr Author No.15 Tell Him Average Score : 7.97 Highest Voter : 10 (Lukuzz) Lowest Voter : 4 (Barbariser) "Tell Him" is the ultimate diva song!!!! Their voices fit so perfectly in this song. Many people believe that "Tell Him' is by far the best collaboration of Celine! It was the first single from "Let's Talk About Love". On March 24, 1997 Céline Dion became the first artist ever to perform twice on the same Academy Awards night. In addition to singing "Because You Loved Me," she also sang "I Finally Found Someone" from the movie The Mirror Has Two Faces, recorded by Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams. Streisand preferred not to perform that night and Natalie Cole had been scheduled to sing her song instead. But Cole pulled out and two days before the Oscar night, Céline Dion was asked if she could do it. Although nervous, she accepted and managed to perform on the night. A few days later, Streisand sent Dion flowers and a note: "I watched the tape afterwards, you sang my song beautifully and I regret I wasn't in the room to hear you, next time let's make one together. I really wish your song would have won, you are a wonderful singer." That note wasn't left without an answer and René Angélil called up David Foster to write a song for them, and the result was "Tell Him." It was written by Walter Afanasieff, David Foster and Linda Thompson. The former two were also the producers of the song. "Tell Him" was a big hit in many European countries! It was a No.1 in the Netherlands, a No.2 hit in Ireland and it charted at No.3 in the United Kingdom and Belgium!! It was also a Top 10 hit in France, Italy, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. However, she had the biggest sales in the United Kingdom!! "Tell Him" is her fourth best selling single in U.k and it has sold more than 436.000 copies to date!! There isn't a live performance of the song and i really don't know the reason. They could sing it to a festival but they never performed the song together live since recording it (It's a bit of shame!). Chorus : Tell him Tell him that the sun and moon Rise in his eyes Reach out to him And whisper Tender words so soft and sweet Hold him close to feel his heart beat Love will be the gift you give yourself X4p_3scB_8c Edited May 3, 201411 yr by Insomnio
