The high point of her career Honestly though her planned release of 'I'll Wait For You/U Sure Do' was scrapped & 'Get It On' got a release. I know its different labels, but that double a-side would have made a better release than that awful cheap sounding 'Get It On' or its more fitting title 'Turn It Off'. To think all Lisa needed was a top 5 with 'Lately' & a top 10 with 'Too Far Gone' & her album would have gotten released, it's still brutal that she got dropped over a #11 peaking single & she should have been given a proper chance & just went ahead with the planned follow ups and see what happens. She could have easily managed another top 20 hit.

After an interesting and pretty close battle we finally say goodbye to The Edge of Glory which received 8 out of the 23 votes cast and finishes in a respectable 6th place, but finishing short of the final 5. In the past poll from 2021 this finished in the runner up spot and shows how fans opinions and tastes change in a matter of 5 years. Released in May 2011 as the 3rd single from her 2nd album 'Born This Way'. The song was written and produced by Gaga and Fernando Garibay, and is a pop, electro-rock, and disco song that speaks of the last moments of life. The lyrical inspiration came from the death of her grandfather, who passed away in September 2010. The song was critically acclaimed and was deemed an instant highlight upon the album's release and became a massive commercial success by reaching top 10 peaks in several major music markets such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, UK and USA, becoming the album's 2nd most successful single and even managing to outperform the previous single 'Judas'. One of my all-time faves from Gaga with its epic production, soaring vocals and 80's nostalgic power ballad production. Released in January 2010 as the 2nd single from the 'FM' (EP) and features mega icon singer Beyonce. Gaga originally wrote this for Britney Spears, who did record a demo for her 6th studio album 'Circus' but she rejected it. The song was seen as an instant standout upon release and became a monster smash hit worldwide by topping the charts in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Norway and the UK as well as hitting top 3 peaks in 12 other countries. A true masterclass in dance pop collaboration from both artists who were at the very peak of their game and fame. The vocal chemistry, pounding electro house beats and catchy melodies make this an instant career standout. Although it does feel a little dated now, but still a solid bop though. After taking a break from the usual voting poll in the last round, the final 10 was ranked by you the Buzzjack voters. 17 of you ranked and the song that scored the lowest amount of points was Born This Way which scored just 54 points out of a possible 170 & therefore finishes in 10th place.
