It's between Paper Planes, Elastic Heart & Lean On for the win I reckon.

I only really like Lean On of the 3 so that to win, although Trampoline or Pon De Floor would be my personal choices.

I'd guess 'Elastic Heart' to win, wouldn't mind that though I like 'Paper Planes' more ('Lean On' not so much sadly). Hoping 'Get Free' to do as well as possible, my #1 here and a huge fave in general biggrin.gif

21 Major Lazer ~ Aerosol Can (feat. Pharrell) 6
22 Diplo & GTA ~ Boy Oh Boy 5.944444444
23 Chris Brown ~ Look At Me Now (feat. Lil' Wayne & Busta Rhymes) 5.863636364
24 DJ Fresh vs. Diplo ~ Earthquake (feat. Dominique Young Unique) 4.727272727
25 Beyonc ~ Run the World (Girls) 4.363636364

well thankfully taste prevails here and Beyonc finishes last with her completely ruining Pon de Floor. Earthquake deserves a lot better though sad.gif clearly still gets too much hate here. Also we have a Chris Brown single which was massive in the US but flopped here alongside the Missy Elliot sampling 'Boy Oh Boy' and the first Major Lazer entry, which is quite weak, the production is a bit too minimalist for my liking.

Correct song at the bottom, truly mutilated that track...

Earthquake is decent but among the weaker tracks of all involved artist' discography. Look At Me Now is great in clubs (especially that Busta verse) laugh.gif

16 Major Lazer ~ Keep It Goin' Louder (feat. Nina Sky & Ricky Blaze) 6.888888889
17 Major Lazer ~ Jah No Partial (feat. Flux Pavilion) 6.875
18 Skrillex & Diplo presents Jack ~ Where Are Now (feat. Justin Bieber) 6.727272727
19 Skrillex & Diplo presents Jack ~ Take There (feat. Kiesza) 6.318181818
20 Major Lazer ~ Original Don (feat. The Partysquad) 6.285714286

Both singles from the Jack campaign drop out here, next to each other too with the actual hit single coming out on top. Also some more Major Lazer songs but nothing too good yet.

Bit of a shame to see the bottom 4 so low, all good fun. Not sure I knew about 'Boy Oh Boy's sample!

I don't properly know any of the Major Lazer tracks in the 2nd lot oops. 'Where Are Now' is definitely my preferred Jack single though so yay.

11 Major Lazer ~ Watch Out For This (Bumaye) (feat. Busy Signal, The Flexican & FS Green) 7.571428571
12 Nicola Roberts ~ Beat of My Drum 7.45
13 M ~ XXX 88 (feat. Diplo) 7.444444444
14 Major Lazer ~ Bubble Butt (feat. Bruno Mars, 2 Chainz, Tyga & Mystic) 7.25
15 Tiesto vs. Diplo ~ C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise) (feat. Busta Rhymes) 6.95

Remember when Nicola Roberts attempted a solo career? Yeah, Diplo actually produced her debut single but it wasn't enough for her because it flopped in the charts, proving that people only cared about Cheryl Cole from that girl group they were in, I forget their name.

Also here is the first of two M related songs, the other one could be a strong contender for the win. As well as two more ~urban Major Lazer songs and a Tiesto collab

Some great songs have come up thus far; Earthquake, Look at Me Now (wub.gif), Where Are U Now and Watch Out for This.

Guessing Trampoline has no chance of winning, but that song is amazing!

6 Major Lazer ~ Pon de Floor (feat. Vybz Kartel & Afrojack) 8.35
7 Alex Clare ~ Too Close 8.3
8 Madonna ~ Living For Love 7.681818182
9 Usher ~ Climax 7.681818182
10 Tinie Tempah ~ Trampoline (feat. 2 Chainz) 7.6

One of Major Lazer's best songs ever 'Pon de Floor' sadly finishes outside of the top 5, but I'm glad it made it this high anyway, so amazingly banging music.gif

The rest here are Diplo-produced hits that he wasn't credited on. At #10 Tinie Tempah came back strong (although not half as good as Pass Out) with 'Trampoline', which went to #3 in the UK charts proving that the public can get behind a Diplo track. The more laidback 'Climax' is at #9, which has amazing production and was a breath of fresh air for an Usher single.

Living For Love doesn't really sound very Diplo, being more housey than most of his efforts, but he did in fact produce the song and it finishes at #8 behind Diplo's venture into dubstep, Too Close, which was probably his first properly massive hit single as a producer.

omg 'Get Free' still to come biggrin.gif

'Pon De Floor', 'Too Close', 'Climax' - really great songs happy.gif Like 'Trampoline' too (surprised it got this high). 'Living For Love' grew on me a little but I still don't think much of it, glad it's not higher.

XXX 88 and Climax are incredible <3 Especially the latter, easily the best song of Usher's career. I really like Trampoline too actually.

3 Sia ~ Elastic Heart 8.772727273
4 Major Lazer ~ Get Free (feat. Amber Coffman) 8.5
5 Major Lazer ~ All My Love (feat. Ariana Grande) 8.5

Major Lazer teamed up with Ariana for a song on the Hunger Games soundtrack album (although it was nowhere to be heard in the actual film, like most of that album) which is quite good although I haven't given it many listens.

Get Free was the group's first entry into the UK top 75, although unfortunately missed the top 40. If it was released today it would have done a lot better though I imagine, it's very laidback for them and so so good.

Now my personal favourite of the non-Major Lazer songs, Elastic Heart, which was originally a Hunger Games song (Diplo loves the hunger games clearly) featuring The Weeknd but he was then taken out for the single release which vastly improved the song. Sia's got such a good voice and the Diplo production in this is great.

#4 is brilliant <3

Have always found 'All My Love' generally underrated, very nice to be this high. And 'Elastic Heart' is of course great.

'Paper Planes' for #1 please biggrin.gif

1 Major Lazer ~ Lean On (feat. M & DJ Snake) 9.272727273
2 M.I.A. ~ Paper Planes 9.136363636

Paper Planes was Diplo's first chart hit and clearly people still love it! It sounds far from the Diplo you hear today but it's got a great vibe to it and is very catchy.

Lean On is the winner of this however, of course helped by being very recent but it seems to be loved by everyone here and I can't see it ever being topped, it's such a great effort heart.gif
