Madonna's instagram is a place of WONDER. A sea of crazy, wtf moments but we love it all the more for it. From the totally bonkers to the more surreal, this is the place to laugh at and love all things MADINSTA.

Now to come up with a catchier thread title thinking.gif

I have chosen to avoid this like the plague. I don't want my view of her to be tarnished even more. Social media really does diminish the ALLURE of a star.

I'm trying to think of a half 'witty' title like 'Insta the Groove' or 'Impressive Insta-nt'.

I won't quit the day job.

Madonna posts stunning androgynous picture.

And an accompanying article:

QUOTE
She has rocked almost every fashion look known to humankind spanning her 30-year-plus career.

And as this retro photograph of Madonna shows, the 57-year-old superstar was one of first to pioneer the androgynous look over three decades ago.

The singer posted this rare image of herself on Instagram on Friday, delighting her fans.

The photo, which appears to have been taken in the very early 80s at the start of her long and illustrious career, shows the young star without any make up and sporting very short, dark hair.

Looking slim and natural, the singer holds a pole as she stares into the camera looking melancholy.

The striking image is a reminder of what a fashion chameleon Madonna is and how her style has continued to evolve over three decades.

Madonna has been posting tributes on her insta but the best appeared on her Facebook:
QUOTE
I'm devastated.
David Bowie changed the course of my life forever. I never felt like I fit in growing up in Michigan. Like an oddball or a freak. I went to see him in concert at Cobo Arena in Detroit. It was the first concert I'd ever been too. I snuck out of the house with my girlfriend wearing a cape.
We got caught after and I was grounded for the summer. I didn't care.
I already had many of his records and was so inspired by the way he played with gender confusion .
Was both masculine and feminine.
Funny and serious.
Clever and wise.
His lyrics were witty ironic and mysterious.
At the time he was the thin white Duke and he had mime artists on stage with him and very specific choreography
And I saw how he created a persona and used different art forms within the arena of rock and Roll to create entertainment.
I found him so inspiring and innovative.
Unique and provocative. A real Genius.
his music was always inspiring but seeing him live set me off on a journey that for me I hope will never end.
His photographs are hanging all over my house today.
He was so chic and beautiful and elegant.
So ahead of his time.
Thank you David Bowie.
I owe you a lot. .
The world will miss you.
Love
M

She previous paid tribute to him at the 1996 Hall of Fame:

^ I watched that video earlier, chilling to see it now.

He has influenced her massively and her outpouring on social media today confirms that.

People are having a go at Madonna for putting #rebelheart after her Bowie tributes because it supposedly takes advantage of his death to advertise her tour or some bollocks like that. :') She's quite clearly referring to him as a rebel heart which she's only been doing for many musicians this past year.

They also have nothing to do with their lives but nitpick at every tiny detail and look for controversy. They also clearly don't understand the implications of 'rebel heart' and what it means to Madonna or the fans. Yawn~
