Macedonia have confirmed that they're going with some singer called Jana Burčeska. Songwriting team being assembled to create a "“modern and attractive Eurovision entry that will present the country in front of the European and worldwide cultural public” (source)
Interesting that they seem to be using more or less the same strategy that Bulgaria used last/this year. If it delivers something as good as If Love Was A Crime then you can count me in! |

So this was one rumour about chaos behind the scenes in Macedonia:

I really like that. It's the type of thing the likes of Azerbaijan could take into the top 10 but might struggle more than it ought to because it's Macedonia
Gotta say, Slovenia aside, the balkans are really BRINGING it this year. |

This is a good song, not as standout as what the other Balkans have brought but a solid entry, and that helps because I'd really like them to qualify. This very much reminds me of those electro house tracks that were big in the late 00s. That ain't to say it's dated, it still feels current and those 80s electro clashes in the chorus are sublime. Surely they're qualifying this year?
