Only one song in the top 40 has been at No.1 (that being the current No.1) ... is this a record low?

I'm rather grateful for the current top 40, to be honest - it's cleared out a lot of deadwood and made it a more enjoyable listen. Thank god for Drake and Ed heehee.gif

Mike Posner must've still been in the chart by July surely. Or even Lukas Graham?

My guess would be Wet Wet Wet 1994.

Just looked back, Mike Posner was still top 40 in Drake's final week at #1! Lukas Graham fell out that week magic.gif

Seems to be correct. Apart from a remix of 'Atomic' by Blondie, there were no former chart-toppers in the Top 40, although coincidentally there were two tracks that topped the charts in later years: 'Dreamer' in 1995 and 'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' in 2013. The import version of the Whigfield single was also Top 100.

Interesting enough chart. http://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singl.../19940904/7501/

Ed & Drake taking up 60% of the top 40 laugh.gif legends. I may be (scratch that, most certainly am) in the minority here but I am loving the charts right now. The turnover is insane atm think back to how excruciating it was last year? And a lot of people were saying the Ed tracks would hang around forever yet they're mostly all in free fall.
