It's another #1 for Ariana this week! The unexpectedly brilliant God is a Woman - one I was wary of due to its title before release - becomes Ari's third chart topper for me and second this year following No Tears. A huge heavy hitter in pop, Ari sounds so at home on the trap influenced beat and dropping a bit of rap too. It's a really solid effort from her, all the more so as it stands out from what proved to be unfortunately an underwhelming album - as many of the big pop girls have recently delivered! :/

 

Cardi drops just one place to #2 this week as I Like It stays a fave. Iggy holds in the top 5 as well, as Weezer ascend a little and Little Big Town a lot with the catchy Summer Fever. Fellow country poppers The Shires also re-peak within the top ten and are joined by a few other ascendants, including Florence landing her highest charter since 2015, a year in which she had three chart toppers! In terms of long-runners, Dinero extends its long run this chart to ten consecutive weeks, already almost double what most long-runners manage!

 

Highest new entry is again this week outside the top 20 and goes to newcomer Dizzy. New entries this week additionally come from my current BJSC hope Paces and Emmalyn, Alina Baraz, Jason Mraz, Feeder, Pink, Afro B, Amrit Maan, Tinashe, Panic at the Disco, M0 with Diplo and Lana Del Rey.
