Not gonna lie, at this point I've completely lost track with them and where they are with which album.

They are yet to put out a bad album, for me. I don't take to their newer singles/releases much until I've heard the album now for some reason. I'm excited though. 'Evolve' is great!

Tbf it makes sense given all of these random releases! That makes it all feel a bit less random now thankfully! It was harder to connect with these one off releases. There's only Natural isn't there though? Next To Me was added to Evolve, Born To Be Yours is primarily Kygo, and Zero was released for Wreck-It Ralph. I thought they were just having an active year tbh like when they released Roots and I Was Me (both solid ID songs too) in 2015 for no reason. Either way I'm excited for this because I adored Evolve and still listen to a lot of it now Related: I found out the other day that Dan Reynolds grow up as a Mormon. Brandon Flowers of The Killers and Brendan Urie of Panic! At The Disco also have Mormonism in their blood (obviously some more than others ) which I thought was quite an interesting pattern. Keala Settle and Lindsey Sterling too that I know of but are less related to rock bands |

There was a link on the ID store which I think has been taken down that said Natural and Zero would be on the album.

Loving this, probably my favourite so far! Reminds me a lot of 70s rock. |

Another amazing track! Probably the most mainstream song out of the ones they've released. This post has been edited by WhoOdyssey: 6th November 2018, 05:41 PM |

Had a listen to these tracks last night. All decent but something is not quite clicking for me like it did with "Evolve" - perhaps I overplayed that era somewhat and this one just seems too soon and not that special by comparison.
Also very confused as to why "Next To Me" wasn't saved for this album, what an unnecessary addition to "Evolve" that was |

Well this is a bit crap. The four songs already released are miles better than literally anything else on the album. And even those four aren't as memorable as the highs of Evolve - I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be mostly songs which missed out on Evolve that have been reworked in some way. It just feels a bit too... electronic for lack of a better word. A bit like Thunder meets Zero a lot of the time. Zero was very dancey but I figured that was because of the movie it's from but maybe that's not why
Apart from Digital which is insane, kind of twenty one pilots esque. Not great though. I think Burn Out is the only album track I'm really liking :/ Also does anyone else find it a bit odd that 9/15 songs on the album are single-name titles? and only one has more than two words too. |

Not too surprised to read that, Dexton... I'll certainly give it a chance; "Evolve" was one of my top played albums whilst working on my projects earlier this year/back end of last year and I wasn't expecting to get so into that tbf.

Digital is AMAZING, but gah this is really dissapointing, very few of the album tracks stand out at all, like everything is nice enough but there’s nothing special :/ so gutted, I agree @Dexton, Burn Out is probably the best of the album tracks (aside from Digital), that instrumental bit towards the end is so lush. Really hope this grows on me tho I felt similarly (though not as bad) about Evolve too at first tbh and I really love that album now so

Unpopular opinion, but I like this a lot better than Evolve.

I've listened to this a few times now, and think it's great - such an easy listen. They need to hurry up and push "Bad Liar" as a single though - all these grats in the weeks leading up to the album release have made things slightly confusing.
