#38BBE0 otherwise known as 'sky blue' Joined: 27 October 2008 Posts: 16,171 User: 7,561	Top 10 of 2018: #003 TY0qllYc8as #003 Yves Tumor “Lifetime” Debut: 16th September 2018 / CR: 38-21-10-03-01-01-01-01-01-02-03-05-07-09-10-14† (16 weeks... so far) “Lifetime” is the 2nd single taken from the brilliant Safe In The Hands Of Love which quickly won me around with its wonderful Bloc Party-esque frantic drumming and soulful, soaring vocals. The chaos seems to erupt into a very powerful chorus and I can't help air drumming every time I heard it - and I heard it a lot - the single spent 5 weeks at number 1 in October/November and still only just left my Top 10 last week!

But it wasn't enough to be my number 1 of 2018!

My favourite gig of the year was seeing them perform at the Roundhouse in Camden back in March and that undoubtably helped to cement this track as a huge favourite throughout the Spring and become my number 1 of 2018. ~ Full Top 100 list coming up...

Love Like Waves is my favourite of the the two Friendly Fires songs, it's really funky and something you just want to listen to! Giving your #1 a listen now, an interesting song! The vocals are very good, I can see myself getting into the melody as well if I gave it a bit more time.

IncredibleSquirrel Joined: 8 March 2006 Posts: 25,840 User: 118	I regularly add tracks from your personal chart to my tracks to listen to on Spotify, so have probably listened to most of these in here, however I must admit there's a surprisingly low amount (particularly towards the top) that have had much impact on me (just 6 of the top 15). This year I finally got Young Fathers, and In My View had very similar success - 18 weeks in with 5 at number one. Pick Up is also superb at the top and whilst I like Emerald Rush, it was his other two singles that I really enjoyed this year. Interesting to see both Friendly Fires tracks in the top 50, I enjoyed them both but went off them pretty quickly to be honest, Heaven Let Me In in particular. Always good to see a fellow fan of If You Know You Know, Song for a Seagull, Dressed to Suppress, So Much and George FitzGerald too - still a fair amount of crossover between our charts.
