Over the past few weeks you've all had the chance to rate Calvin Harris' singles discography. Juan Carlos has now added up all the scores and prepared the stats so now we'll be counting down from 39 to 1 your fave Calvin Harris tracks. (ugh if only LWYL was under Calvin's name we'd have a round 40!)
Hype! ... to finish dead last again? |

#39. Hype (with Dizzee Rascal)
Rate score: 4.30/10 Highest rate score: 9.5 (George.keh) Lowest rate score: -1 (SevenSeize, Jonjo) 2018 rate position: 44 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2016 Album: N/A UK Chart position: #34 YouTube views: 9.3m (MV) Spotify streams: 27.2m You'll note that Calvin seems to have lost 5 singles since 2018, well that is because I included his production work for other artists in that rate but those songs will now be done in a separate rate. Anyway, 'Hype' seems to still be your collective least favourite single, so let's just hope we don't have that round of AF Idol again. It was released as Dizzee Rascal's 'comeback' single, his first as a lead performer since 2013, but it didn't light up the chart as he may well have hoped - going in at #34 and falling out of the top 40 the following week, acting as what is very likely to be the final top 40 hit of his career. It was released whilst Calvin's own 'This Is What You Came For' was still in the top 10 which couldn't have helped, but I doubt that it would've been much of a hit anyway. That lead synth used in the drop really was a choice. That said I do quite like this track for what it is though it is far from my favourite so I've got no issue with its position here. --- #38. Nuh Ready Nuh Ready (featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR) Rate score: 4.34/10 Highest rate score: 7 (danG, Riser) Lowest rate score: 0 (WhoOdyssey) 2018 rate position: 41 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2018 Album: N/A UK Chart position: #48 YouTube views: 7.4m (MV) Spotify streams: 40.1m Well, it says a lot that I'm supposedly the biggest fan of this (alongside Riser) when even I wouldn't rate it within the top half of his singles discography. This came out as a loosie following the Funk Wav era and instantly was fairly controversial with it being a bit of a departure from Calvin's usual sound, plus with mostly incoherent lyrics from PartyNextDoor. It's got a good vibe to it and I feel it is a bit underrated still, not deserving of 2nd-from-last, though I'm sure Lewis will very much disagree there. It ended up not performing particularly well and it'd soon be followed by one of Calvin's all-time biggest hits in 'One Kiss'. --- #37. Off The Record (with Tinchy Stryder & BURNS) Rate score: 5.05/10 Highest rate score: 9 (Dexton) Lowest rate score: 0 (Bjork) 2018 rate position: 43 of 44 2014 rate position: 20 of 21 Year of release: 2011 Album: N/A UK Chart position: #24 YouTube views: 2.2m (MV) Spotify streams: 394k Another track you were all expecting to be towards the bottom end, this track Calvin produced with Burns for Tinchy Stryder at a time when Tinchy was on his last legs. Despite the Calvin feature the song failed to be much of a hit, lasting just one week in the top 40. It's definitely one of his weakest productions out of his singles anyhow, and Tinchy's performance doesn't help it either. We all know now that Burns was capable of better than this too, as he was one of the producers of Gaga's Chromatica this year. With less than half a million Spotify streams, it seems the GP have very much forgot about this too. --- #36. Merrymaking At My Place Rate score: 5.45/10 Highest rate score: 10 (WhoOdyssey) Lowest rate score: 0 (Dobbo) 2018 rate position: 40 of 44 2014 rate position: 21 of 21 Year of release: 2007 Album: I Created Disco UK Chart position: #43 YouTube views: 1.6m (MV) Spotify streams: 3.6m Now here's my least favourite and one I like to forget he did. 'Merrymaking' was his third single release following up #3 hit 'The Girls' but it ended up peaking 40 places lower, although it peaked at #23 in Scotland. It featured more electro-pop production than we've come to get used to from him alongside his own vocals. It seems to be his least remembered single as a lead performer, unsurprisingly given the peak position. Impressively, it took him until 2017 until his 2nd top 40 miss. --- |

I guess there aren't any major surprises here, but I still don't get why some people find "Merrymaking At My Place" to be one of their least favourite tracks. Sigh!
With less than half a million Spotify streams, it seems the GP have very much forgot about this too. It doesn't help that it's a georestricted track either.

Some people don't want to be invited into Calvin's place, I guess.

#35. Open Wide (featuring Big Sean)
Rate score: 5.55/10 Highest rate score: 9 (lewistgreen) Lowest rate score: -1 (Bjork) 2018 rate position: 42 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2014 Album: Motion UK Chart position: #23 YouTube views: 62.5m (MV) Spotify streams: 83m The promo single that was released as a single but isn't a single is next up and still a firm least favourite amongst most of you apart from me! Open Wide is of course the updated vocal version of C.U.B.A. released to promote Motion and faired moderately well here in the UK. --- #34. I Found You (with Benny Blanco) Rate score: 6/10 Highest rate score: 8.5 (WhoOdyssey) Lowest rate score: 1 (SevenSeize) 2018 rate position: N/A 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2018 Album: Friends Keep Secrets UK Chart position: #29 YouTube views: 50m (MV) Spotify streams: 147.5m This song almost feels forgotten about despite being just under 2 years old. Released for Benny Blanco's album Friends Keep Secrets and is a now "rare" recent example opf Calvin's vocal work, it hung around the charts for a few weeks but not long enough to make an impact with you guys. --- #33. Heatstroke (featuring Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande) Rate score: 6.02/10 Highest rate score: 10 (Nina West) Lowest rate score: -1 (George.keh) 2018 rate position: 30 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2017 Album: Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 UK Chart position: #25 YouTube views: 11.8m (AV) Spotify streams: 110m Released as the second track to promote the Funk Wav Bounces era and is apparently a track from 2012 made for Pharrell and then subsequently given to Calvin to produce. It's pleasant enough but not one of my faves from the album I must say. --- #32. Drinking From The Bottle (featuring Tinie Tempah) Rate score: 6.11/10 Highest rate score: 9.5 (Josh!) Lowest rate score: -1 (Dobbo) 2018 rate position: 36 of 44 2014 rate position: 19 of 21 Year of release: 2012 Album: 18 Months UK Chart position: #5 YouTube views: 19.5m (MV) Spotify streams: 103.4m Quite surprised this is coming in here to be honest, though should I be given its underperformance in the last two rates. It's a little bit trash yeah, but this was huge at the time and Calvin certainly knew that having Tinie on a big EDM banger would work for him. --- #31. We'll Be Coming Back (featuring Example) Rate score: 6.43/10 Highest rate score: 10 (WhoOdyssey) Lowest rate score: 3.5 (Nick F1) 2018 rate position: 29 of 44 2014 rate position: 18 of 21 Year of release: 2012 Album: 18 Months UK Chart position: #2 YouTube views: 90.7m (MV) Spotify streams: 137.5m Another one I'm surprised is where it is in this rate, giving it was such a huge success when it was released. 18 Months probably is the most popular and well-known of Calvin's albums now which means I guess everyone has their favourites and then also tracks that they despise, this seemingly being one of them though an average of 6.43 is nothing to be sniffed at. The production sort of let's this down, especially in the drop, but you can damn right expect I'd still lose my shit to this when it comes on. |

shame to see Drinking is still considered to be in his bottom 10, it's not one of his absolute best but it's a right banger.

Wow poor 'We'll Be Coming Back' One of my favourites of his. I'd place 'Drinking From The Bottle' higher too.

"We'll Be Coming Back" deserved to perform better. Sigh! Not surprised that "I Found You" didn't do that well, but I hope it's not the last song of his discography where he does the vocals.

#30. Faking It (featuring Kehlani & Lil Yachty)
Rate score: 6.45/10 Highest rate score: 10 (George.keh, Josh!, Nick F1) Lowest rate score: 3 (gog_lad84, WhoOdyssey) 2018 rate position: 35 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2017 Album: Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 UK Chart position: #97 YouTube views: 39.3m (MV) Spotify streams: 74.3m Released as the final single of Funk Wav to very little success (very nearly becoming his first to miss the chart entirely), it was a bit lacklustre by his standards and not helped by having a pointless Lil Yachty verse. --- #29. Rollin (featuring Future & Khalid) Rate score: 6.59/10 Highest rate score: 10 (danG) Lowest rate score: 1 (gavindeejay) 2018 rate position: 38 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2017 Album: Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 UK Chart position: #43 YouTube views: 45.2m (AV) Spotify streams: 279.8m Thankfully finishing just ahead is the other top 40 miss of the era 'Rollin', a track I think is very underrated still but at least it manages to improve its rate position by a fair bit since 2018. Its production is great for summer weather and though I'm not usually a fan of Future & Khalid they work very well for this song too. --- #28. Summer Rate score: 6.68/10 Highest rate score: 9.5 (Josh!) Lowest rate score: 0 (Tawdry Hepburn) 2018 rate position: 32 of 44 2014 rate position: 15 of 21 Year of release: 2014 Album: Motion UK Chart position: #1 YouTube views: 1.4b (MV) Spotify streams: 733.2m The first of his many UK #1s to drop out is 'Summer' and it's last by some way. I have to agree that it is the weakest of his #1s anyhow, it does it job as a summer festival banger but it did feel a bit autopilot from him and it ranks in my lower half of his singles. It was one of his biggest all-time hits however with over a billion YouTube streams, and was the most streamed song on Spotify of the summer of 2014. It was also one of the few songs of his to make the US top 10 peaking at #7. --- #27. Let's Go (featuring Ne-Yo) Rate score: 6.70/10 Highest rate score: 10 (Riser) Lowest rate score: 3 (blacksquare, SevenSeize) 2018 rate position: 28 of 44 2014 rate position: 16 of 21 Year of release: 2012 Album: 18 Months UK Chart position: #2 YouTube views: 61.6m (MV) Spotify streams: 132.2m Another track here that I can't really complain at the position of, this was the 3rd of the many singles taken from '18 Months' but it's certainly in the weaker half of those for me at least. It became a 3rd consecutive #2 hit but didn't perform as well as the other singles of the era in the long run. --- #26. My Way Rate score: 6.75/10 Highest rate score: 10 (George.keh, Frenchie, gog_lad84) Lowest rate score: 2 (SevenSeize) 2018 rate position: 39 of 44 2014 rate position: N/A Year of release: 2016 Album: N/A UK Chart position: #4 YouTube views: 367.6m (MV) Spotify streams: 650m The last single released in the run of loosies between albums, it became yet another top five hit for him and is still fairly remembered now being his 10th most popular song on Spotify at the moment (a top 10 that sadly doesn't contain his newest single). It's never been a big Buzzjack fave but it impressively jumps from 6th-from-last to avoiding the bottom ten in this rate. As one of the big fans of this track I have to be pleased with that. |

Despite the difference isn't too much, I'm fairly shocked that "My Way" performed better than "Summer", but I'm not complaining to be honest. Although the latter is practically huge, it hasn't held really well through the years for me and it's mainly because of the production, which is very 2014 and tends to be dated nowadays. The same, in a sort of way, could be said about "My Way" and the tropical house trend, but I guess I prefer that for now.

Loving all the stats! Faking It and Rollin' are both higher than I thought they'd be, I'm especially surprised to see Rollin' finish higher between the two.

surprised at Summer, I really like it myself and I think it definitely should be higher
not many loses for the rest, not a fan of his collabs with Example or Ne-Yo, do don't mind them leaving earlier My Way is also not a favourite, too repetitive and monotonic |

'Summer' is truly awful! Hate it so much, glad it's crashed out low.
I forgot all about 'I Found You', I actually quite liked that. I don't even remember how 'We'll Be Coming Back' goes. |
