Love this, it does sound a little bit influenced by Pachelbel's Canon with that string section, so as a result the song feels instantly recognisable.

I need to check out the album still so I'll probably bump this thread again in a couple of weeks or so but 'KEEP IT UP' proved to be a huge grower for me and 'AMAZING' I instantly loved, gorgeous instrumentation and both songs just sound so wholesome and happy (I know there are some more downbeat lyrics on 'KEEP IT UP' but the overall vibe of the song is refreshingly optimistic), hard to listen to them without a smile on my face. The video for 'AMAZING' is cute as well. Happy to see him nab the #1 and looking forward to hearing the rest of it.

2nd bump as promised magic.gif

The rest of this album wasn't as good as I hoped it'd be based on the singles unfortunately (I loved 'OPEN A WINDOW' too) but I am also a fan of 'IF YOU WANT IT' and 'THE SHADE'. 'ONE IN A MILLION' and 'SHOOT ME DOWN' were alright too, the rest was a little on the boring side unfortunately! Still happy it got to #1 though, 5/11 songs that I really like isn't too bad a ratio really.

Really enjoyed the music video for 'ONE IN A MILLION' and it's helped the song to stand out more for me than it did on first listen!



(and certainly wouldn't be opposed to 'THE SHADE' gaining some TikTok traction although I know the southeast Asian TikTok scene is somewhat disconnected from the rest of the world at times x)

"AMAZING" is now at the Top 30 Spotify in 4 SE Asian countries. It should be reaching 50 million streams tomorrow.

The song itself, it starts growing on me as well.
