UPDATE: The video for 'The Promise' premieres tomorrow (Friday 26th) on AOL :D

 

The Promise will get it's first play on next Sunday's Switch on Radio 1 from 7pm.

 

Due out physically and digitally on October 27th

OH MY GOD, this is one of the best pieces of news i've heard this year. Such a sad life i lead but i have literally been (kind of) expecting news and wanting news of new material for over 6 weeks.

Ooooh! I'm always nervous when songs premier first on radio without any kind of leak before hand. I wonder if the song will get out before the premiere... hmm..

 

Anyway, v exciting. Hope it's good.

I get what you mean Jark, but i think its kind of more special - harking back to the days where internet leaks werent possible. Its all the more exciting and if i had the choice of hearing it today or waiting to hear it with another 3 million people, same place same time i think i would choose the latter.

 

As you can probably tell im so excited, even more so than last year!!

Hopefully it will be more like what should have followed on from the brilliant 'Something Kinda Oooh', and not like the sorely disappointing Tangled Up singles.

I never give into leaks with the Girls. I always wait :D As soon as I hear it on radio though, it WILL be going on loop :D (as the first singles usually do :lol:)

If its 'Call The Shots' and 'Sexy No No No' with a bit of 'Cant Speak French' mixed in together then i'll be majorly happy.

I think 'Call The Shots' is one of their best tracks and i think 'Tangled Up' is their best album ever so anything like those album tracks and singles will do me fine.

thats exaxtly what I would hope for with mabye a bit of the rockier edge of Wake Me Up thrown in there :lol:
