Posted September 17, 200915 yr Does anyone else here listen to this every week as I do? If I don't listen when it's broadcast I catch it on Listen Again. Much preferred it on Sundays TBH. This Sat., 19th Sept. it's the Top 20 charts from this week 1967 and then 1980. Following Capital Gold's dropping of Bottom To The Top it's the only old chart show that I know of. Does anyone know of any others where old charts are counted down? Sat. 19th. - 1967 & 1980 Sat. 26th - 1974 & 1993. Edited September 17, 200915 yr by Crazy Chris

September 18, 200915 yr Used to listen to Fluff doing it on Radio 1 years ago. Somehow he always seemed to find a way to play the Marcell's Blue Moon at least once a month.
May 21, 201114 yr Look at the big smile on his face as he squats down to stop the camera. Very pleased Tony there.
July 2, 201114 yr Now I don't know if this is true, but some lunatic (who can't spell at all or string a sentence together) on Facebook has said that during August, Radio 2 will be repeating some of Alan Freeman's original POTPs on Sundays at 1pm. That would mean the 1967 to 1972 period. Though it all depends if this nutter on Facebook is actually speaking the truth!

The BBC did recently put out a request for old POTP shows presented by Fluff, if true this could be why they were interested.

September 6, 201113 yr Best Retro Countdowns are: Atlantic Oldies 2NG 2PM Sundays Bay FM Sundays 4pm Radio Hafren Sunday 12pm If you enjoy PIck Of The Pops...you'll like those much more. Honest! Heard The Bay FM retro chart on Sunday, was very impressed. All Top 40 records (bar Judge Dread) and nice presentation. Noticed when he played Rock n Roll Pt II he credited it to the 'Glitter Band' instead.
October 18, 201113 yr I listen too, you can't move for retro chart shows at the moment, there's also Double Top 20 with David Jensen on Sunday evenings, and the vintage chart show on some bbc local stations including (Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire) on saturday evenings. There's a good one on Bay FM (Exmouth) on Sundays 4-6.
March 6, 201213 yr A poster on digitalspy just said he heard from "a very reliable source that 'POTP are going for a slight format adjustment' in the near future" Edited March 7, 201213 yr by Mark.
