If she did bully Amelle, I agree that she should be gone... when she bullied Siobhan, she was just a stupid teenagers.. we will find out in the next few days if she's just a horrid person now she's grown up!

I don't think you have been paying attention. This bullying was a setup story to push out Keisha.

I checked this earlier about half 3, and when there was nothing i assumed we weren't getting anything today. I cannot believe there has been 13 pages on this in 12 hours. I thought 7 pages in 2 days a few days ago was nuts! I was really taken aback, the Keisha fired seemed to make the whole thing seem like a ridiculous rumour when the first few rumours filtered through. The fact that it was true beggars belief. It has already been said ad nauseum the original member argument so i won't say any more. Amelle and Heidi have both been babes longer than Siobhan ever was and they are 2/3 the same still, as we've had with all the other changes so you could argue this change is no less dramatic.

 

Keisha has never been my favourite babe. When they started i liked their music but didn't know much about the individual members, though i remember Siobhan stood out. When Heidi joined she became my favourite and has been until the last year or so, when i've just loved the band as a whole really. Its so mad, this line up always seemed stable compared to the previous ones and its been 4 years without signs of cracks. The US deal seems to have been the catalyst (or Amelle's one shot solo bit but surely one guest vocal wouldn't cause such a massive bust up). I always felt that was the problem with Catfights; they were all so relaxed and comfortable (with each other), there was no fire and tension in the band which may have been responsible for their "edge" in the past. Great album though, but there was something missing (hence the relative flop).

 

It does seem majorly awful the way proceedings have been conducted. I mean, if they knew and let Keisha go on record in NOTW on Sun to smooth things over on behalf of the band while they auditioned replacements? Thats cold, though it was telling only Keisha was in that interview.

 

This hit me harder than i expected, its only pop music after all! I don't know how i feel about supporting them now and i own every single and album they have ever produced (some in duplicate and triplicate) so its fair to say i've been a keen fan for a very long time. I'm trying to just remind myself its still Heidi and Amelle but i don't feel the same connection with them right now. It feels like they've let Keisha down, though in all fairness she may have made her bed, so to speak. My impressions of Jade from previous interviews and performances is nice girl, but she didn't make much of an impression. On hearing her sing i thought she has a great voice, but was still really an inferior Leona clone; its all we're churning out since she went global. How she'll fit into a 3 piece, and if she's a good fit for Keisha's vocal in the short term i'm not sure. They can obviously develop their own sound and dynamic moving on, but they have a sizeable back catalogue which Jade will need to nail - you can just ignore 6 #1's in concert ffs!

 

Stunning choice of clip on Popjustice too, i'm surprised they found it. My favourite live acoustic of theirs ever!!

This is an interesting point. The US really don't know the babes so 4.0 has the perfect chance to start fresh, giving them all the more reason to neglect us in the UK. Or give us extra support to ensure they don't lose their following? A fan in the hand is worth two in the bush and all that

i cant believe it.what a worse start 2 the week.cant believe kiesha has gone or supposedly been fired.the sugababes wil never be the same.as all the origanal members have gone.they might aswel cal it aday coz i cant see them doing well now.im a massive fan and have been following them since their debut single.i realy dont feel like supporting them now.

Mehhh I'm just gutted that we might not get Jade's solo album now. I'm gutted she's joined tbh, I was so looking forward to her stuff. :( I'm hoping her current contract means it'll have to be released and they just do a snap release or something... I'm not a massive Sugababes fan, though I guess I'll have to be now seeing as I adore Jade, and I'll obviously not be standing for any of the Jade-hate that might become apparent! At the end of the day, Keisha supposedly bullied Siobhan and Mutya out of the group, so why the f*** should she be allowed to do it a third time? I don't think her leaving will be the worst move; only their hardcore fans will be that bothered - I mean most 'casual' listeners won't remember a time when Heidi wasn't there anyway and many people will think she's an original member. I'm pleased for Jade as her solo career was heading for the bargain basket, but at the same time gutted her material probably won't be released. Like, seriously gutted. She's a really talented performer who, despite getting us our best position in seven years, should never have got involved with YCNY or the Eurovision, because it's basically stuck a curse on her. I'm trying to think of the positives though here, so I'm hoping today's exposure and media coverage of her will send My Man flying up the iTunes chart! But no, seriously, I am genuinly gutted Jade's joined them as I honestly thought they'd be bowing out around now, particularly when Get Sexy surfaced... I mean... it's a catchy song and I do like it, but it's f***ing terrible LOL. I mean who really samples RIGHT SAID FRED?! I'll be sticking by Jade and becoming a Sugababes fan though for the first time, and I look forward to the upcoming album, or albums if Punching Out is released!

Keisha herself on Twitter says she has left and it was not her choice. So she was fired.

I don't really get why people won't be supporting them now... Tbh I think talentwise they have the best line up they've ever had. I would quite like a rebrand though, however keeping the Sugababes name would probably be best marketing-wise for them. I've always liked Heidi's voice, Amelle has a beautiful voice, and obviously no one really needs to ask my opinion about Jade Ewen! :heart: I suppose I am quite looking forward to hearing what happens - About a Girl with Jade in the mix should be amazing! I still think the Ewen's in a different league mind.

If you want my opinion. Dan Wootten knew about this on Saturday just like everyone else did but for some reason he printed an interview with Keisha which made it look like she was unaware of what was about to happen. Yet it had already made it onto the net that Jade was there to replace her and not Amelle.

 

So now Dan is saying all this makes me thing him and Keisha knew about it and planned their little twitter stance. She is the ''nice'' girl while he is saying what she really wants to but can't.

Meh. I don't really care tbh, :lol: although I do think that Heidi + Amelle are great (them two together trounce on any of the GA/Saturday members) and I've only ever seen Jade perform Deja Vu, which was pretty good. So it's a good line up.

 

Tbh though, ONE day the Sugababes are going to end as a whole. Just like Girls Aloud & The Saturdays and any other girl group will. So either way I don't think it really matters who makes the line up, it's not forever is it?
