So, what happened?: Amidst a controversy which caused the first ever (and to date the only) mid-contest host resignation (due to the withdrawal of Bokia in protest over the NF rule changes, which caused the withdrawal of FSR Rontvia in response and a seeming mass pull-out of countries until Rontvia were persuaded to return to the contest in a non-hosting capacity) and the emergency passing on of hosting duties to Quotosibb, it only ever looked as if victory would be a straight fight between two countries - Mdiče and Kathaldazia. Mdiče sent the much-hyped dark electro collaboration between Röyksopp and previous top five contestant Robyn, while Kathaldazia sent the South African unknown Jody with a five-minute epic not a million miles away from Rihanna's 'Don't Stop The Music'. While speculation had predicted a two-horse race between the two, in the event it looked to be a close six-horse race, with only 12 points between the controversially cheap entry from Scherzland, Hendinia, Numayania, Mdiče, Kathaldazia and dark horses FSR Rontvia at the thirty-vote mark. However, the last ten votes saw Mdiče storm ahead in the points score and secure victory with several votes left to announce, eventually claiming the first ever 200+ points victory. More to be posted later on ;o
September 26, 200915 yr 6th was amazing seeing as I picked Emiliana as a risk to replace the even then quite cheap (although by BJSC standards only at this point) Pixie Lott, with a song that would later be entered and perform worse than Jungle Drum did :funky: don't remind me of XVgate though :snif: lucky we had a final of immense quality, with the best top two possible plus the amazing discovery for me at the time of Knock You Down  at this point, we'd never seen such a semi -> final collapse as Ashton had...that was a tad unfair actually, I really liked the song and it was an unexpected entry from Ashton

Was my best placing to date by far. :kink: This was the first contest I decided to enter and I'm glad Mandy made it into the final. Still definitely one of my favorite songs I've entered but I think Kate Miller-Heidke may have just beat it out.
September 26, 200915 yr Haffi was amaze :snif: And Elimiana (for old times sake :kink:) don't try and pretend you get her name right now Tom, you called her Emilia earlier today :kink:

Still definitely one of my favorite songs I've entered but I think Kate Miller-Heidke may have just beat it out. that Mandy Moore song was excellent, I believe it got my 7 points...a long way off the quality of Wind It, Girl & The Robot and Knock You Down, but would have got maybe a 10 and at least an 8 in most contests...it's just those three are three of my favourite songs of the year
September 26, 200915 yr Author that Mandy Moore song was excellent, I believe it got my 7 points...a long way off the quality of Wind It, Girl & The Robot and Knock You Down, but would have got maybe a 10 and at least an 8 in most contests...it's just those three are three of my favourite songs of the year  Hurtful got your 7, I think Mandy got your 6 ;o Or it may have been the other way around.
September 26, 200915 yr no you're right, Hurtful got the 7, Mandy got the 6...that was an amazing top 5 for me...the top 4 all would have got my 12 in XX for example
September 26, 200915 yr Author Way to make me feel worse for ITC Rich! :snif::heehee: I still haven't decided my top ten for XI-XX for my own entries :o
September 26, 200915 yr I WAS TOP FOR ABOUT HALF OF THE VOTES :snif: Never the less, my highest placed position yet
September 26, 200915 yr Way to make me feel worse for ITC Rich! :snif::heehee: I still haven't decided my top ten for XI-XX for my own entries :o it was a backhanded compliment  Hurtful >>> Into The Clouds obviously, I just couldn't award four lots of 12 points :snif: oh and for me, at this moment in time it's as follows; M.A.G.I.C. (best) Robots In Love Music Everywhere Kongulo Boys & Girls I'm Going For Your Brother Watch The Sun Come Up Not A Love Song () Jungle Drum Miss Blue (worst but still amazing)
September 26, 200915 yr Author For me it would have to be: Quicksand Crazy Possessive Dollhouse Into The Clouds Hurtful Many Moons Method of Modern Love You're Out [Frankmusik Remix] Gifted Hot Loving That top five is VERY difficult to decide though. Crazy Possessive, Dollhouse and Into The Clouds are all effectively interchangeable...
September 26, 200915 yr Hmmm. I didnt really think much of this contest, but perhaps that would be different if id have been online to give the songs more listens and ultametly vote.
September 26, 200915 yr Well, how other opinions affected your list Tyron :P Caroline Af Ugglas - Snälla Snälla [best] Elisha Keen - Love Soldier Harrys Gym - Top Of The Hill Private - Killer On The Dancefloor Gaby - My Show Anjulie - Boom Marit Bergman - Bang Bang Lenka - The Show Hande Yener - Romeo Shakira - Loba This is my XI-XX Top 10 :o

Crazy Possessive, Dollhouse and Into The Clouds are all effectively interchangeable... didn't Hurtful top your chart for AGES :o I thought Many Moons would be higher too...interestingly, this is my rate of your entries; Quicksand (perfect) Hurtful (stunning) Into The Clouds (magical, but not as good as M.A.G.I.C.) Crazy Possessive (grew on me like a fungus ) Dollhouse (very original entry, catchy, great song) ------------------------- Gifted (underrated, I actually really liked this) Many Moons (good but a tad 'too' quirky for me perhaps) Method of Modern Love (good but got over it quickly) You're Out [Frankmusik Remix] (forgettable) Hot Loving (awful) gulf in quality between the top and bottom five
September 26, 200915 yr This was an amazing contest. But I think that of everything I've been in :kink: don't try and pretend you get her name right now Tom, you called her Emilia earlier today :kink: Yeah, but I'm drunk now so it's OK

Eight weeks...but as I'm judging now, I've gone off it just a tad :( Ditto Dollhouse, so Into The Clouds really ought to be above it but I think I've overplayed that a little too! Whereas my love for Crazy Possessive has been reignited by the video AND the explicit version both being uploaded! It sounds so much more natural now
